There's no awkwardness or intimidation factor since it feels like home. The Pasadena studio is family-owned and the owners, Gabe & Michelle, take feedback and concerns seriously. They're always looking for ways to make the experience better and I love that personal touch. They've put a huge emphasis on building community among the members so that the studio isn't just a place to exercise but a place to form friendships. The coaches at Pasadena make the effort to get to know the members personally and are super friendly and motivating. They push you but are also sensitive to injuries or limitations and are able to provide modifications, if needed. Go to the new Lagreeology in San Dimas for a much better workout, newer machines, more reformers, bigger space and rarely a waitlist.

Hands down the best Crossfit gym I've been too. The coaches are fantastic, the people are all great and there definitely is a feeling of community and family at this location. I would reckoned anyone that is planning on or even thinking about Crossfit to join this gym. Tried just about everything to make it better, but nothing seemed to work. When I saw that Dr. Justin was hosting a shoulder workshop, I decided to attend. The workshop was extremely informative, and it gave me enough confidence to schedule an evaluation with him. From the first few minutes of our physical therapy session, I felt like Dr. Justin was truly listening to me and understood what I was going through. He quickly identified the source of my pain, made an adjustment that reduced my shoulder pain by about 80%, and believed it was muscular related which was a relief. I was amazed. Have gone to PT through my insurance for other issues in the past, and they did not have the knowledge that he has and I did not have a quick recovery with them. He also gave me customized exercises that were tailored specifically to my situation, and I left the session already feeling better. I have been doing the homework exercises since the session and after just one week of consistently doing the exercises, my shoulder pain was completely gone. It had been stiff, was clicking when I moved it, and couldn't move it horizontally. For the first time in months, I feel confident working in my food related work and exercising without pain. I highly recommend Dr. Justin to anyone over 50 dealing with shoulder pain who wants answers, a personalized plan, and real results.

Each class trainers ensure to watch your forms and correct you to avoid unnecessary injuries. My 7pm class was small size and so far I had coach Ryan and Stephanie which are both professional and knowledgeable. They don't push you to lift heavier or PR in every workout but they care about your techniques and encourage you to gradually increase weights/reps. I do love this gym a lot and I love running around the buildings and neighborhoods. It's quiet, safe and located in the heart of monrovia so every time I have a choice I would go out and run!
