The bathroom is huge and has a lot of amenities like a sauna, massage chairs, a cinema, and etc. I haven't found this gym to be very busy but I also go during odd hours. I really like the massage chair. However, they did change their prices. My friend pays $29 with buddy pass back in January and now it's $35 for that same plan. Kinda disappointed that only a few months the price changed. I do wanna try their classes. I heard they were fun.

Adj: good gym in downtown Sac…read more This is a pretty decent and really big gym right in DOCO. We were with another fitness chain and decided to not continue our membership with them and started coming to 24 Hour Fit. This location is centrally located. There's 3-hour validated parking included every time we visit to work out here which is quite generous. Our previous gym has a branch down on K St (you can figure out which gym) and they only validated for 90 minutes which created a lot of stress as it's not enough time to park, walk to the gym, work out and wash up and still get back to the parking structure, creating a feeling of rushing not a relaxed experienced. We signed up with Andrew, and he was friendly and helpful as he explained the different membership levels, how to add buddies, and he even helped us figure out how to best maximize our membership. Downstairs has a large fitness classroom, and then the rest of the floor is made up of mostly the lobby and then the extra cost areas, like with the water massage chairs, specialty services, and etc. There's also the indoor pool and spa plus the locker rooms on the first floor. Both locker rooms are pretty clean and updated compared to other locations. Upstairs, there's a lot of treadmills, ellipticals, resistance machines, free weights, and a full basketball court. Another good thing is that at this downtown DOCO 24 Hour, there's always plenty of equipment to work out with even though it could get pretty packed here, especially upstairs by the strength training areas where the free weights and lifting / resistance machines are located. Overall, I like 24 Hour location. It's one of the newer (even though it's already like 15-20 years old) branches, and although it could be kind of hard to get to downtown not being in a residential area, it's convenient for those of us who work in or near downtown to come before or after work. There's free validated parking as mentioned, and this location is quite well maintained and professionally operated with generous hours. We plan to come whenever we can.

Parking is pretty easy and free at 3 nearby parking garages w/90 minutes validation, which would be much better at 120 minutes b/c 90 minutes really isn't enough when we have to change into workout clothes, and then wash up after getting all sweaty from exercising and have to walk to the gym and back from the parking garage, all those minutes add up. Another thing about limited time is the LIMITED HOURS that this gym is open. It'd be better if it wasn't open so early but open till later on weekends.
