When I picked my car up (much later than I was told I could) I paid part cash and part credit card as they're charging 3% on credit card now. About seven dollars of that was in change and when I put it on the counter he says "I can't take that"! I'll have to go ask somebody if I can take it. Of course they can, they have to, it's US currency. So I get my receipt and the paperwork and I walk out the door and say thank you. He has not one word to say. As a customer. I think he should've said thank you or at least you're welcome. Also, the paint was not the exact shade, but I'll probably be the only one that notices that so I didn't say anything about it. There's other options in town.

He transferred the contents from the old hard drive and installed the needed software. Time will tell however, so far buying from Ben's Computer was a good decision.

The old hard drive was pretty badly "brain damaged" so I was told that the migration needed extra care and it made me trust the technician. Once this was done, the on-site visit to where I live was done faster than I expected. Nick came well prepared. He brought an extra connector which turned out to be vital since my new computer would otherwise not have connected with my old monitor I didn't want to replace. The second challenge came with my printer also in good shape and with no need of replacing yet that would not work with the new computer. It was a tougher issue but one that Nick managed to fix and fairly fast as well. Without those two problems being fixed I would have had to buy a new monitor and a new printer. The cost: Given The migration and the troubleshooting including the onsite visit, I was pleasantly surprised that the cost was actually less then I expected while still within the norms of any technical work of this nature. They are a small business with Ben being the owner sharing his IT expertise as well as taking care of what needs to be done as the manager and owner--not an easy task. There is an innate respect and cooperation between all members. I support small businesses and they definitely fit the qualifications for being a knowledgeable, reliable and customer-friendly one.
