The work to build a new crossway between the two platforms has been going on for what seems like an age. As a result, the temporary structure has made me (and I suspect many others) late on more than one occasion, due to its distance from the entrance. Then, the burning of the office some time ago confounded all the issues, as now there is just one machine to dole out tickets to all who patronise this (admittedly fairly quiet) station. Frustratingly slow to see any changes. And it's the station from town that enters the next price bracket (so always buy a ticket to Blackrock!)

You ring up this company and you wonder at the gruffness of the lady on the other side of the phone, where are her customer service skills? Where is the nice polite voice you expect to hear at the other end of the phone? Dundrum cabs customer service presents you with the following; "wha's your mobile number?" "gis yer address there" " wer ye goin to?" "wha toime dya wanna be picked up ?" Please note that no conversation from your end is tolerated at all! Once you have gotten through this ordeal however your Dundrum cab experience is quiet pleasant! The cab arrives on time (or some times before time) and you don't get brought around the world to get to your destination. The drivers are usually nice enough, never had many complaints there and that's it! What more do you want? (Besides a nice lady on the phone!)

We need to be at the airport by 6:30 AM so we were planning to leave the hotel at 6:00 AM. We went to bed hoping that our taxi would be there in the morning. Obviously, this wasn't their first rodeo - either CIE or VIP Taxis. There were a number of people waiting for taxis when we got to the lobby in the morning. The taxis rolled in like clockwork. Each driver had the name of who they were picking up. They were ON-TIME, CLEAN and the driver was EXTREMELY COURTEOUS. We arrived at the airport with time to spare.

After weeks of attempting to retrieve the correctly priced invoice the manager called only to tell me that I was word for word; being difficult. He was really unkind. They wrote a paper stub that was not accepted by my company for reimbursement, but could not reissue the acceptable invoice receipt which seems unusual. Continually telling me on the phone that I was being unreasonable. I have never been spoken to like that by a service provider, totally unprofessional.

The station is just down the road from the center shopping district, has good direction signage, both automated ticket machines as well as a person in a booth and even has a display telling you how long you will have to wait for your next train. About 2 1/2 Euro, and 25 minutes later, the station in Dublin 3 that I needed, Clontarf Road, was in sight.
