When our server took our order after taking orders from another couple (she apologized to them for the long wait.). Then came for our order, again apologizing for the wait. Then came an exceptionally long wait for our food. I had catfish, excellent, by the way, Wife had chicken fried steak. It was almost black. Even with steak knives, it could not be cut. The gravy was good. But not soft enough to penetrate the breading. It was a bummer of a date night. Yes, we should have sent it back, but I was too busy eating my fish to see the problem.

The sandwich was so large that half came home in a box. The fries were really nicely done and were piping hot and crunchy on the ends. You know how unusual that is with sweet potato fries... as soon as they start to cool off they get soggy. Prices were a little high, but the server Jenny was excellent. A Cuban must have mustard! A liberal dousing of YELLOW mustard. An essential condiment. Without it, it is nothing more than a bland pork sandwich. No bright yellow stain to be found between the ciabatta. It did have a little deli mustard. Not a suitable substitute. At the counter, the very nice young lady gave me a couple of packets of plain yellow mustard. Needs more, but this is a start. Between the bread, lots of meat; ham, pulled roast pork, and pickles. The roast pork was a little dry. First bite; something does not taste quite right. An unmistakable old grease flavor on the ciabatta. My best guess as to the cause; the panini press needs a good cleaning. It is a nice, attractive deli, with great service. What an absolutely fun and unexpected road-trip discovery…read more Using the iExit app, we spotted The Mothership UFO Burgers and decided to take Exit 11 off Zero Street in Fort Smith. If it had not been for iExit, we never would have known this awesome hidden gem was here. Every interstate traveler ought to have the iExit app. At first, it felt like the mothership had cloaked itself because we drove around for a bit and couldn't find it. Then we discovered the landing zone: Bryce's food truck is parked right in front of the Tacklebox Tackle and Bait building, just about 3/10 of a mile off Exit 11 on I-540 / US-71. Honestly, Zero Street is the perfect location name for the Mothership, which has just returned home. Bryce, the owner, told us he came out of the IT profession and has been building this business for the last couple of years, and it shows. The whole alien theme is fantastic, right down to the little black pager that lets the aliens signal when your food is ready. I ordered the Apollo Burger, swapping the American cheese for provolone, and it was outstanding. The UFO-shaped bun is such a creative touch and fits the whole mothership theme perfectly. The burger was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully put together. The garlic fries absolutely lived up to the hype too. Bryce mentioned they are popular throughout the area, and after trying them, it is easy to understand why.
