"VERY UNPROFESSIONAL" They need to learn that whatever is happening in your life, you need be professional and treat people with respect. I will never go to them again. I would advise everyone to look elsewhere to take your pet.

It was dark and dingy inside the office, rather unwelcoming. The older lady was a little rude and cold with me, especially after I let her know I was vaccinated for COVID just so she wasn't concerned, since I didn't have my mask on. She told me to put my mask on anyway, to which I happily obliged. Nearing the end of my trip I missed my train home and had to bump my pup's stay to Sunday Morning. I called the older lady I spoke to before and She and I agreed that I would come pick him up first thing Monday morning instead. That was fine. Monday morning came and I arrived right at 8am when they opened, just as the one lady and I agreed upon. There was an older man outside of the building who told me to go ahead inside after I told him I was there to pick up my dog. I went in and there was someone already there picking up their dog. I waited patiently inside, wearing my mask as I was told to when I had dropped Guthrie off. There was a different lady working, maskless, helping the couple. They left with their cute boy and I walked up and I told her I was there to pick up Guthrie. She had a very negative attitude right away and told me I needed to call first to schedule the pickup, and then started complaining about being there since 5am and that she was tired and wanted to go home. I confirmed with her that I was in fact there during regular business hours and that they opened at 8am. It was 8:10am that we had this conversation. I also told her that I spoke with the older lady on Saturday and that we had set an appointment for first thing Monday morning. We then had a conversation about the payment. I had miscalculated the amount because of the extra day I added and didn't have the correct amount in cash. I gave her the money I had and apologized and said that I would run out to the nearest ATM and be right back, which I did. It only took me about ten minutes to go and come back with the extra 40 bucks. I came back to SunValley with my money and decided to address the lady's behavior, asked her if it was my problem that she'd been up since 5, asked her about her negative attitude and if she treated those poor dogs as poorly as she treated their humans. She asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. I said yes and she brought in the older gentleman from before. I immediately gave him the $40 I owed, rather than the lady. He seemed kind but he was reluctant and timid, and had difficulty controlling the situation. I explained to him how the lady (his daughter or daughter in law) treated me. She interrupted every time I tried to speak to him and said that I was mad because I had to go get another $40, to which I replied "I couldn't care less about the money," which is true when it comes to the care and well-being of my dog. She had to ask the older man (her father or father in law), right in front of me, to vouch for her niceness to prove to me that she is in fact a nice person (lol): "I'm a nice person, right??!!" She practically yelled it I said to the man that I was not a confrontational person and that this was hard for me, and that I just wanted my dog so that we could leave. I said it three or four times before the lady started to the back of the kennel and yelled back, "No, you come get him!", referring to me, as if I worked there. The older man quietly told her to just get my dog. She went to the back and got Guthrie and his blanket, but on her way back to the front office she started up again about me not scheduling an appointment for pick-up. I then explained (again) in great detail that I had already scheduled a pick-up time with the other lady on Saturday, went through the conversation nearly verbatim. Wondering if she knew what the word "appointment" actually meant, I told her I'd send her a dictionary. Not being asking if I needed a leash, which I did in my haste to get to my pup and to relieve these employees of the extra time I burdened them with for adding another day last minute, Guthrie and I left and will never again return to this filthy, poorly run, negative, upsetting place. I would strongly suggest that the reader thinks twice about Sun Valley Kennel when they're choosing a quality, happy, mature, safe, respectable, and safe environment for their wonderful and precious babies.

We have two dogs, a Great Pyrenees and a Beagle. We have been going to Doggie Divas since 2021 when…read moreI moved here from Utah. I'm a flight attendant so my dog has been in several boarding facilities until we find a right fit where I've lived. We found Doggie Divas once I moved here and never looked back. Doggie Divas is wonderful despite what some of the other reviews say. I know because Great Pyrenees are very sensitive and my dog always cried and had separation anxiety when I'd drop him off at other boarding facilities. Now he goes to Doggie Divas and doesn't even say goodbye! He absolutely adores the entire staff and they make sure he's taken care of and I can tell because his demeanor is different from any place we've taken him across the country. We got our Beagle Bella last year. She's only 8 months old and they welcomed her with open arms. Aimee, Amanda's mom, usually takes her because she is smaller and still a puppy. Occasionally she will go with our Pyrenees and share a kennel which is great because they're two peas in a pod. Every time the van comes to pick up our dogs, they get so excited. Amanda is super busy and likes to be involved in her business because she cares despite what others on here may think. Our Tatum always comes home from a grooming appointment looking exactly how I want him to look and our Bella always gets her nails trimmed and she's fine. Her nails are black so it's harder to see where her line is, but she's never come home limping or anything. With me being a flight attendant and my husband being a pilot, sometimes our schedules are all over the place but guess who has it handled? Amanda and Aimee. If we need a last minute pickup they do everything they can to help. Sometimes my Pyrenees misses boarding and we text them and they come and pick him right up if they're able to. They let you tour the facility which some other places don't do. They know about bloat which other places do not (why we chose them as well). They have full transparency. If they do mess up, which is rare, they acknowledge it and always make it right. We know what other facilities are like and they charge way more than Doggie Divas does for way less and a messy dog because they don't have turf like Doggie Divas so they come home muddy. Go anywhere toward the city like Murrysville, Monroeville, etc and the rates will be at least $60 a night and that's not including your other dog if you have one. Heck even grooming my Pyrenees other places want almost $200. Like I said, I've seen boarding facilities across the country because I've moved a lot and Amanda runs a great one. She loves her clients and will do what she can to make it work. We will be moving to Atlanta eventually and I wish I could take her and her business with us. I guess you have to have seen what I've seen to appreciate this place and the people who run it and work there. This really is a great place.

Advertises military discount but was told I didn't qualify as only the military member can sign the contract and my husband is deployed, he finally honored after some discussion but asked to see orders and my dependent ID. Every appointment was late or rescheduled from their end. Not given clear direction on how to handle behavior problems with my dogs. They completely changed their plan for training after one session - I was verbally told I would be refunded for a partial session due to this and never was. Decided to terminated my contract early because of these issues and received a nasty email full of personal attacks including that he didn't think it was in my best interest to keep my dogs. As an added insult I was charged for extra gas and tolls. I have been a dog owner all my life and have had only positive experiences with other trainers, groomers and veterinarians. I've contacted you several times for a refund and you don't respond. You asked my vet to put my dog on medication that he should never been on! My Vet felt you had no idea what you were talking about because you wanted my dog tranquilized and he recommended that we find a different trainer. He was so kind and put that all in writing for me. We only switched dogs due to your recommendation after 2 training sessions and only saw you for 2 sessions with the new dog. I can only pray people do their research by asking vets and read reviews. I've been nice and waited for a refund but you seem to want to keep my money. That is not going to be the case! You left me no option but to take you to court.

I have stayed with her but now I cannot. I called the day before my appointment for my female Airedale terrier this week. She's raised her prices again and I wanted to know the price. She quoted me $85 which as a $20 jump but I accepted it. The morning of the appointment my girl came in with small burr seeds in her coat. I spent some time brushing her legs and belly as well as beard to remove the bulk of them, her torso too but it is quite short cut. My dogs are very active but given the dry hot weather (and fact I've showered them numerous times to cool them off) she was not that dirty since there's no mud to get into as she loves to do. I dropped her off with clipping instructions to take her a bit shorter on her legs. When I arrived to pick her up I was charged $107. This is the second time with has been done to me and this time it was a slap in the face given I called the day before for the price. (I was charged $20 extra another time for my boy which I thought was slimy business practices. Dogs are dirty, groomers clean dogs. That's your business, right?) I protested the extra charge. The girl said "I talked to Rachel, had to bath her twice and she was matted). Bull. She was not matted as I brushed her before I brought her. She shouldn't have needed two baths if she was bathed properly the first time. And she says the new cut took longer. If you don't know a proper groom for an Airedale that is your problem. You are dog groomers who should know your business. And she nicked Mina's private parts in the process. I met a woman right after at another groomers I stopped at on the way home who also used to go the GT with Jen but found Rachel's grooming skills and professionalism lacking. Long story short. I'm done. I will not go back. You're a business owner but won't be for long at this rate, Rachel. Ps. I just got off the phone with Rachel. Although I was told the additional bathe I was charged extra now is standard - she said and I quote 'we bath all dogs twice; b) that the $85 was just a 'base price' so any additional charges- beware! They can charge what they like. And then she hung up on me.
