As of the time of this review, North Bark Pet Salon *is* accepting new clients…read more I have been a customer of North Bark Pet Salon since 2022. For two years, I used this pet groomer for my English bulldog Olive every several weeks. The employees always warmly greeted us and never kept us waiting. Each appointment lasted about one hour, and the employees did a bath, blowdrying, nail-clipping, and ear cleaning. The employees gently handled my shy and nervous dog, and Olive walked into and out of the store happily. After each appointment, Olive's fur felt soft and smelled good. Recently, I began to take my French Bulldog Daisy here for grooming. So far, she has had two appointments. In the first appointment, employees did a Small-breed Bath for $42 plus tax, credit-card fee, and tip. During the second visit, Daisy got the same service, except we also asked for a tooth cleaning, which they said would cost $10. After both appointments, Daisy looked and smelled great, and she seemed to enjoy the attention.

I asked everyone I knew for recommendations and did my due diligence prior to booking an appointment with Pawsitively Purrfect. I literally couldn't find anything negative about them and now I see why! Jessica was so professional, organized and kind. I told her that we would be celebrating our toy poodles 2nd Birthday and she was able to schedule us for the day before her party. We were concerned with how she would handle grooming again. Prior to her appointment I received appointment confirmations via text and email. Jessica arrived on time, was gentle and friendly. She spent time allowing Chloe to get acquainted and made me feel really comfortable as well. Chloe was so excited to meet her. I was asked questions regarding my grooming preferences and struggled to communicate them to her. I anxiously awaited and peeked out the window occasionally. I frantically worried that I didn't explain something properly and Chloe would look a mess for her party. I was shocked when Chloe and Jessica rang the doorbell only after an hour. Chloe pranced into the house and looked PERFECT! More importantly, she didn't show a single sign of stress. Jessica set her down and she ran off to get a toy and brought it back like nothing ever happened. I absolutely could not have been any more satisfied with the entire experience. It is so convenient, I love the peace of mind knowing that she is right outside my door and it is so much easier on her. Grooming previously took 3 hours, by the time I picked her up she was stressed, anxious and absolutely desperate to potty. I also thought it was so thoughtful that they returned Chloe with a really cute flower collar instead of the dreaded bows. She even remembered it was her birthday and brought me a birthday bandana too in case I didn't have anything for her to wear to her party. Thank you Pawsitively Purrfect for easing my fears and taking such great care of my furbaby!

She looks forward to her haircut so much and it's the people at this place that make the difference. I highly recommend them. They have always been great with my dog - for about 11 years now. To me, that is a surefire sign to stay away from that groomer, especially since this one is so close to that one.

I took my 9 month old long haired kitten to Joyce to have groomed. I wanted my kitten shaved…read morebecause she was becoming matted on her belly and was uncomfortable with the heat. I called Joyce and made an appointment. The day of my kittens grooming, Joyce stated she would shave my kitten, clip her nails, clean her ears and glands. I didn't want my kittens glands done because that's the job of my vet, not my groomer. I left my kitten with Joyce and she told me to give her an hour to do her grooming. An hour later, I returned to Joyce's house where she had met me on the street where I parked explaining that she couldn't finish grooming my kitten. I questioned why. Joyce said my kitten was mad and hissing I asked when did she start hissing. Joyce said she did her ears, glands and trimmed her back paws. I expressed the glands were not to be done and that probably pissed my kitten off. When I went to greet my kitten who was now back in her carrier, I seen where she was only half groomed. She looked hideous! Joyce asked if she had ever been groomed before and I told her no. She said my kitten was probably scared and that if I gave it a couple days and called her back, she would finish grooming my kitten In good faith and trusting that Joyce would keep her word at finishing my kittens grooming, I paid Joyce $60 as she requested for the full groom. Now a few days have past. My kitten looks hideous! I've called Joyce 3 times and asked for her to call me back so I can get my kitten in to have her finished grooming. Joyce has refused to return my call. Here's what upsets me the most: I had the option to take my kitten to a big brick and mortar place to get groomed, however, I chose to help a small business out. I put my trust in Joyce and her work. However, she has been avoiding me to finish a job she had been paid for. I do not recommend Joyce to groom your cat. If my cat got angry from her cleaning my cats glands, then that's on Joyce. Joyce is not a vet and should not be doing this to any animal imo. My kitten has been traumatized and sleeping with me constantly since she left Joyce's care. Beware of this groomer! She doesn't do professional work, and she's not a vet, so she shouldn't be allowed to do Vet work. This is very concerning to me!
