We discovered Critter Cafe on Marco Island about 3 years ago and have boarded our two pups there any time we need to travel without them. Great friendly owners and staff take extra sweet care of our boys, and we are very particular about them as I'm sure most pet people are. It's small and personal, with a nice indoor play area plus a nice retail selection of food, toys and more. Our boys are always happy and seem to really enjoy their stay there. Caring Staff.... & I'm fussy as most of us are with our babies. Nancy, the owner, answers all my questions thoroughly. I've met the dedicated people that work here ( small handful) which is nice and they all are super sweet toward my pup. I own a dachshund and I get very nervous about how he should be picked up & held due to their prevalent back issues that can occur. I made it clear to them and they didn't brush me off which was a big plus. I feel my pup is loved & safe and getting lots of free play when he is there. It is not a huge f place But the two areas they have for daycare are more than sufficient for the pups to play comfortably & get their energy out. My Radar loves it & comes home ready to rest. They also have a little yard so the pups get outside as well as inside play a few times a day. If you're looking for a smaller intimate place where your dog will be loved and cared for this is the place. The employees have been there a long time. Added plus, they have lots of dog supplies there when u walk in as well... leashes, harnesses dog toys, dog food, etc. read more

Critter Cafe was great. We went in for a quick nail trim and paw pad scoop. My dog was out within 15min. The groomer was very friendly & listened to what I requested. We are going back in a couple weeks to get a full groom. I'll be updating my review then :) read more

pretty average spot here. They have inflated pricing on many items since you're in a trendy beach city, but the staff was friendly and helpful. They do have a lot of local items from sourcer's which was inviting. Easy parking here, but not enough variety for brands of food, treats and items for dogs. Definitely a VERY specialized store with limitations. read more

The staff at Critter Cafe was awesome. We vacationed in Marco and our Henley (5 month Goldiedoo) stayed with CC. We were able to visit and take her for walks. This was her first long stay anywhere and it was a great experience for her and us. Definitely recommend and would use in the future if our travels bring us to Marco Island. read more

My dog is a Golden and of all the grooms he's been in his life this is by far the worse. We asked for a shorter cut and he literally got a hack job. Even worse the cut was completely uneven. Obviously, whoever groomed him has no idea how to groom a Golden. Will never go back there! read more

When I picked up my dog after boarding her overnight, it was apparent that she was not taken out for potty breaks through the day. She hurriedly peed for a long time so it was obvious that her bladder was very full. She pooped immediately then pooped again within an hour. The young girls manning the place were inexperienced. Took my dog here several times because it is convenient. Every time there were spots missed on his cut. They also didn't trim his nails. The last straw was when I picked him up, tipped the groomer 22%, and went home. He has a huge chunk of hair cut from his ear!!! She never said a word to me about it. Shame on her. I will pay 15$ more at a different groomer on the island. read more

This store is very unorganized and the girl working was very rude and rolled her eyes when I asked her about speaking to the owner about an issue , Was not assisted and was told dogs that are boarded here and groomed don't have to be vaccinated and that they let this slide for more business!! Yuck! Will not be bringing my animals here despite living on the island. Would rather drive an extra 30 mins to go somewhere else read more
