My pup had an ear infection, and I was having a heck of a time getting an appointment for her that…read morewasn't booked out a week or more away. I called six or seven different vets in the area until one suggested I reach out to Newberg Veterinary Hospital as they are a little bigger and might be able to squeeze us in. Sure enough, they kindly booked us an urgent care appointment for the very next day! Even better, when they had a cancellation the morning of, they gave us a call and offered to move us to an actual appointment. The urgent care appointments are open for an hour and they just see you as soon as they have availability, so we while we would have happily kept that spot, it was nice not to have to wait with a miserable dog. Not only that, but it is my understanding that they will accept walk ins, too. Having had a not-so-great experience at an emergency vet, it is comforting knowing this is an option. Once in, everyone from the front desk staff to the vet techs and doctor herself were so pleasant and friendly. My Great Dane wanted to meet ALL THE PEOPLE but they have a small divided section off to the side of the waiting room which was nice as I could take her over there a little away from the excitement and she could just relax and stop bugging everyone. We waited maybe five minutes, and then once we were taken back to the room they were super fast too! We only had a few minutes wait between the exam, running tests, and pulling her meds. We saw Dr. Johnson and she was so patient with my anxious pup, explained the diagnosis and medications clearly, and happily answered questions. My favorite part of all: I was able to pay in the room and head right on out! It is so nice not to have to go back to the front desk and wait for help and then make payment. Only real negative I can give is that parking is pretty limited, so just plan ahead as it might be a bit of a struggle to find a spot. I can hardly complain about that, though, I am so grateful to have found a kind veterinary clinic that is able to see my pets on short notice.

When asked several times why, they stated it was new policy and all clients were being charged a deposit for appointment visits. I asked each time I brought our pets in and had to prepay for the office visit before I could make each appointment and every time they said "New policy, everyone pays a deposit for office visits" I called several times under the guise of being a new client and asked about fees and terms of service, needless to say, they don't charge deposits for every client. They were dishonest every time I asked in person! It turned out that over the many many years we've been clients, we missed a total of 3 appointments. They never told us about charges, which we would have paid for the missed appointments but they never said anything, their web site doesn't say anything other than payment due at time of servic. Paying a deposit is not paying at time of service. I love the Drs and techs and will continue to go but I'm not happy about the failure to disclose and lying to me about it.

We've been going here for over a year. Our regular groomer, Miranda, took off for maternity and now…read moremy dog, Maggy, "is too aggressive - it's a safety issue." She wouldn't let them work on one of her paws. She's never let them work on one of her paws. She shows teeth but they've never reported anything more. It's unfortunate and a little disappointing. They do an alright job. It's super convenient but Moon our german shepherd is always really damp when I pick her up and it's a hit or miss with the proper grooming especially around the potty area where if not done properly can create a mess and the hair matted since our last grooming. Perhaps I shouldn't have asked them to please pay more attention to that area when I dropped them off. It's a bit of a mad house but I appreciated them working with us with Maggy's sensitivity to her paw being worked on.

Jenni was super pleasant and welcoming and when I mentioned that Annie has a problem with some smaller dogs, she quickly took away the other dogs who were part of the welcoming committee.
