So I'm very picky when it comes to croissants, and this croissant was not buttery or flaky but rather doughy. It's like donut bread with filling, as was the raspberry "cruffin". The fillings were yummy though! Although disappointing for me, my kids loved the "chocolate bread!" I also got a cannoli iced coffee. It was a bit too spiced for me, but that's ok! Especially because I left it up to them to pick. I would however recommend a sipper top for cold foam drinks, as this came with a straw and defeats the purpose of getting a nice cold foam to enjoy when taking sips. I would love to come back for their pop tart one day!

So we decided to take a ride and take Freckles with us because she really freaks out from the storms. So off we went north toward Punta Gorda. I was craving a really good cappuccino, Dave a frozen frappe and Freckle's a pup cup. We decided to give Patty a visit at the Punta Gorda Coffee and Tea. It was just too hot to sit outside on their lovely patio, facing Fisherman's Village and the River. So hot and heavy that Dave went in and ordered for us while Freckles and I stayed in the comfortable air conditioned car. The staff is so helpful. A few times they have helped Dave and brought the drinks right to the car. My cappuccino is always perfect, foamy and delicious. I can't say enough about David's frappe. It was frozen coffee with chocolate snd caramel and topped with homemade whipped cream. Gosh, I've been on a diet since I was born and it's just not fair! But I did taste his-perfect for a hot humid day. Freckles was waiting for her pup cup that has whip cream and little dog bone treats on top. She really enjoys it and she forgot about the bad weather. So after we headed home into the heavy rain, happy to have left the house for a nice treat.

This was my first time so she explained the coffee & tea portion and area. In the same shop there's also some unique wines for purchase, a chocolate area which is made in house! And even a wine tasting area. So awesome! Of course on top of that they sell all different types of coffee beans and some tea. I met my friend and we both got their coffee flight! WOW delicious and variety. It was a lot of caffeine but worth it and I was still fine to sleep that night haha, for my meal I got their breakfast sandwich, it was delicious and I love that it came with a side of fruit! I wish I lived closer but I will definitely come back here again. It's such a great idea, not just a morning cafe but great for the whole day. Some seating outside as well if you have a dog with you. Lots of parking in the lot and clean unisex restrooms!

Tucked in the heart of Port Charlotte, discovering this place was a breath of fresh air as boba have been a staple back home. With a smaller, more intimate menu, it was easier to choose a drink as I always find myself overwhelmed from too many available options. I opted for one of my top 3 favorites which is taro smoothie with honey boba. The drink was tasty and creamy and the boba had a nice consistency. One of the girls from my class took a leap of faith towards the Vietnamese coffee as a first timer and loved her drink. The right amount of punch smoothed out by a blanket of condensed milk to ease the edge. Our drinks barely made it out the shop and I was close to ordering a second one. The place was an absolute vibe with a nice greenery backdrop and a decorative neon light for IG photos. The workers were really sweet and we had even met the owner of BobaBae who had been so genuine and kind. It was beautiful and inspiring to hear her passion and love for both boba and Florida. Thank you BobaBae for making our first experience here in Port Charlotte much more welcoming and comforting!
