Mountain View Memorial park is a nice location with a view of the front range (and parts of the…read moreback range). As a memorial park, it is mostly graves with flat headstones (so from a distance it just looks like a large grass field). We actually went with the very pleasant cremation garden in the south-west corner -- it's a very well-maintained garden with flowers, bushes and trees etc. around a fountain, where you can place cremains (in a bronze capsule) in granite-covered niches in the wall, or in the ground covered by a small granite stone in various shapes, or a flagstone stepper. Overall, their service was pretty good, though we did have to double-check their engravings proofs for typos. They were able to prepare the bronze capsule (which makes a nice urn for the funeral) in 3 business days, and have the engraved flagstone ready for the internment the following day.

She lived in Oregon along her remaining family and getting her shipped to Colorado and laid to rest next to her parents was made a smooth process. The cemetery is in a beautiful location at the foot of the Flatirons in Boulder. Snow fell the day before. The day of her burial found the site snow covered with a crisp blue sky and glorious sun in early January. We really appreciated the extra mile the staff went to in making such a dazzling day weather-wise. We walked the entire cemetery after the memorial and it is a truly beautiful and peaceful area. To top it all off, the folks at Green Mountain honored her entire purchase plan from way back in 1981!

He helped me through all of the steps of planning the service, ordering the essentials, and reserving the chapel time. He was there for me every step of the way on this difficult journey. The chapel and service turned out to be beautiful and honored my loved one in a dignified and comforting manner. The woman in charge of arranging the entombment was difficult to work with. She was unprofessional, pushy, and tried to rush me through the process even though I asked her to slow down so I could ask questions and fully understand the process and paperwork. She needs more training or a different job. Finally, the St. Anthony Crypt where my loved one's final resting place was to be was dirty. Before the service I asked if it could be swept, dusted, and cleaned of dead bugs and cobwebs (all around and on the fountain with the statue of Mary). The morning of the service, I went to check and it had not been cleaned in any way. I returned with cleaning supplies and did it myself a couple of hours before the service. By the way, the fountain no longer operates so the least they could do is keep it clean.

Those months passed, and nothing happened. There was no headstone, no grass--just dirt and a lot of waiting. Throughout this process, my mom and I have been in contact with Jessica. We were given four different dates and timeframes for when the headstone would be installed. Each time, we were told it would only be "a few more weeks." We checked again in February--still nothing. We returned on May 17th and still nothing. I sent another email hoping for answers and never received a response. Today is December 15th, 2025. It has been over a year, and there is still no headstone and no update. Every visit breaks my heart all over again. This has been an incredibly painful experience during an already unbearable time, and I am deeply disappointed. I wish I had spared myself more heartbreak and laid my baby to rest somewhere else. Please spare yourself the added pain and consider carefully before placing your loved ones in the care of Mount Olivet. In my experience, there was a profound lack of compassion and understanding during an already unimaginable time of grief. What should have been handled with care and respect instead became another source of heartbreak.
