True to his word, he arrived exactly on time. He was incredibly informative, explaining the entire process and how long it would take. Because it was a pressing matter, my in-laws let him know we needed it done as soon as possible. The very next day, Evan arrived with his team to begin the installation. Every member of the crew was professional, respectful, and efficient, completing the job within a few hours. The new door is actually higher quality than the original! Evan just needs to return for a quick paint touch-up to perfectly match the existing trim. Evan did an amazing job and delivered on every single promise. We cannot thank him enough for the professionalism and empathy he showed our family during a stressful time. We are definitely keeping his number for future repairs and highly recommend Evan and Moody Desert!

When looking at the finished prodcut, the paint that was used was completely different than what we requested. Steven used Eggshell instead of flat which made the rooms look patchy and the overall look looks very unprofessional. We will not be using this vendor again.

I'll start by saying that I'm not a stranger to hiring a pro. I'm well aware that most of them want…read moreto meet in person to see the scope of the job before they give an estimate. I've got a rather complicated project regarding logistics and timing (not skill once work can begin) that has made things difficult. When I first contacted this guy, we set up a date to meet and discuss the project. He no-showed. No phone call or anything. Eventually we met and he explained the lack of communication on his end. I get it. Things happen. Because of other cogs in this wheel, I wasn't able to get him to do the work right away. Now that I'm nearing the point where I can bring in a pro, I contacted him again. I needed cabinets painted and likely a back splash installed. He asked for pictures and a description of what needed to be done. I sent him the pictures and description through Yelp. I was rather surprised when he said that he didn't need an appointment to get me a quote but I thought I'd go with it because I just needed a VERY rough range to facilitate planning. A range of $5000 would've been acceptable. Instead I got told I have "major issues" and he felt "sorry for the poor sap that I hire". Screen shots of the conversation are attached so judge for yourself what kind of person this is. First he no-showed and then insulted me for asking questions. Granted, after reading through our conversation I did see that he asked me to call him and I didn't because I skimmed over that part. My apologies. If he had just asked me again to call him I would've done so.

He gave me a reasonable quote, and we scheduled the job. The day of the job, he didn't show up and didn't respond to my calls or texts. My husband then texted him from a different number as if he were a new customer, and he responded to my husband (the new potential client) saying he had availability Tuesday. Only after responding to my husband did he finally text me back--an hour after he was supposed to arrive--saying he had been injured on a previous job and wouldn't be available until Wednesday. I understand that injuries and unexpected situations can happen. However, it was frustrating that he was actively responding to a potential new customer while ignoring my calls and messages about a job he had already committed to. A simple heads-up would have been understandable and would have shown basic consideration for my time. Very disappointing and unprofessional, especially after he specifically assured me he wouldn't leave us hanging.

I made a post on the Peoria Community Group Page on Facebook and looked for recommendations to have…read morethe spigot in our backyard replaced. Functions with no issues, but it has had a slight drip since my wife and I bought our home a few years ago. The spigot gets direct afternoon sun all year long and is exposed to the elements. It's understandable that it would need to be replaced at some point in time. Unfortunately, I am no plumber. Actually, who am I kidding? ...I'm not really all that handy at all. My wife knew this before she married me. Thankfully, businesses like J&M Home Maintenance Services exist because of dudes like me! I had several suggestions recommended to me for local businesses that could help me replace the spigot in my backyard. I reached out to J&M Home Maintenance Services and Eric (the business owner) reached out to me almost immediately. He was the first to respond and therefore, he got my vote. After the other quotes started coming in, he was also the cheapest! WIN / WIN! Not only did he reply immediately, but he did so on a Sunday (the day I sent my request for a quote to him) If that's not customer service, then I don't know what is. Anywho, Eric was able to get us scheduled on Tuesday - just 2 days after my initial request. It wasn't an emergency by any means so this was completely fine. He was a little late for the appointment, but shot me an e-mail as a courtesy to let me know which I appreciated. He e-mailed me again to let me know when he was on his way and when to expect him which was also awesome. He introduced himself and was very professional, polite and courteous. Not only did Eric replace the spigot that we initially requested, but he even went so far as to replace the secondary spigot that shares the same line (which we never use). He replaced that one at the same time in case we ever want to add a secondary hose for watering purposes. My wife and I were very impressed by the work he did as well as how efficient he was. He obviously takes a lot of pride in the work he does and the business with which he operates. I would not hesitate at all to recommend Eric at J&M Home Maintenance Services for all of your home maintenance needs! We will most definitely be utilizing him again at some point in time in the future. Thanks again, Eric!
