This is my favorite consignment store in San Francisco, even though I live within a block of two of Cris's competitors. The selection is well-edited and well laid out, so you're not digging through miles of racks (and outdated Ann Taylor suits) to find that a hidden gem. I've had great luck with cashmere sweaters here. And I'm hopeful that one of these days, they'll actually have a pair of Manolos in my size! read more

We miss shopping here so we flew up from Long Beach. Great clothing that never disappoints. We wish you had a location in SoCal.

Love Cris Consignment. Great prices, great service. Wonderful staff. I will be back time and time again. I bought my second Louis Vuitton bag here and i'm happy. Authentic..... Thanks Cris read more

I found this place from the great reviews. I was in town for the weekend visiting from Canada. It is a great shop with friendly help and a large selection. One of the best consignment stores I have found. read more

Purchased a Bottega Venetta bag (large enough to fit 2 laptops). Most likely retailed at $2k and bought it for $500. I would call that a deal. It was worn and had a few scratches... but I worship that bag! Great quality items here. The owner has a great eye... read more

I've taken my clothes here and she does 50/50 where some do 60/40, the 40 would be you. So that's good. Cris runs a tight ship. Everything nicely organized and the merchandise she accepts are in almost new condition. Her prices are higher than any others in town so you need to be very careful with your selection as there are absolutely no refunds or exchanges. Once that puppy you just bought goes on your charge it is yours like it or not. I've gotten burned twice. Look it over, take it out to the light to make sure of color and if you aren't sure, back away. read more

Wow I am very impressed with the efficient and high class this shop is higher priced but great customer and cosigner/cosignee orientated . I have made some very decent money with more to come I'm sure of it. Thanks Cris you are a true gem..I'm just getting involved in cosigning and I'm sure it showed with my pricing but you being so wonderful and patient have made me more confident in an area that I never thought i"d be in (womens accessories) Thank-you for being who you are.... read more

Cris Consignment is by far the best consignment store in the Bay Area. The service is excellent, and the threads are to die for! They also have a great selection of purses, even Hermes, and accessories and some fine jewelry. Be sure to ask about the fine gems as they are not in display case. Cris is also a reliable source to consign your clothes. Shopping here is by far a treat! Ladies, note, that they do have a gentleman's selection so no need to feel guilty about dragging the men folk in there! read more

Nice place with a good selection of high quality clean merchandise. Friendly staff that was very helpful. Scored a nice louis v handbag for my wife. read more

I bought from this consignment store online and would love to visit the actual shop...we are going to be in SF this weekend too! My experience was 100% positive - friendly, helpful and reliable. read more

I have been consigning with Cris for several years and not once have I ever been treated unfairly, rudely, or otherwise badly. Cris is a consummate business woman, very professional and up to date in understanding whats on trend in fashion. I find many of the poor/bad Yelp reviews somewhat suspect, as many of these reviewers/sellers claim that Cris only offers 40% of what your items sells for, which is absolutely untrue. Cris splits what you consign 50/50 and you and she decide the selling price together. So for those who want to find some of the best deals on designer couture, feel confident that you will be treated fairly and respectfully by Cris, she simply would never have lasted nearly three decades in this industry if her business ethics were anything but honorable. read more

I just had the worst experience as a seller. Awful store policies. They can't even give you the courtesy - As a NEW seller, even - to call you as a reminder that they are about to donate your clothes if you don't pick them up on the due date. I travel consistently for work, and my assistant had set this up and unfortunately, I missed the deadline for pick up so all my clothes - that I was planning on KEEPING if they didn't sell - they just donated. And I made less than 50 bucks and I gave them a good amount of clothes that now I can't even get back - most only work once. I am appalled that they could not even phone someone that is new to their process as a gentle reminder. I won't only never shop here again, I'll definitely be staying away as a seller and telling all my friends to as well. I'm so upset they did that with my clothes and didn't even care. And I never got mailed a check or called to be told. My assistant just told me about https://www.liketwice.com/ which seems WAY better of an option for people who are busy and can't keep up with a stores policy or inability to provide good customer service. read more

When my friends and I came in - they asked us to give them our purses. We didn't think anything about it until we realized we were the only customers they targeted for this. All the other customers were allowed to keep their oversized purses. The staff clearly profiled us as potential thieves. And for three ladies who all have their PhDs, I feel like this was discrimination and rude. It's fine if Cris Consignment has that as a business rule, but they should uphold it for all customers and treat everyone equal. read more

omg, this place is heaven! it was like a couture paradise-- all vintage, all designer. my favorite part is that this place is organized by color, which is how i dress, so you can go directly to the color that fits your mood of the day. i'm gonna cut right to the chase-- i tried on this ivory oscar de la renta shirtdress that i can't get out of my head! i think it would just be happier on MY rack than on theirs... must rescue it this week. still kinda pricey, but it's really fun to just meet the clothes. i created amazing stories in my head for each piece i tried on-- ("oh, this YSL sheer lace top had a romantic date in central park on a warm summer day! these manolo blahniks spent a fabulous day of shopping downtown with best girlfriends!") bravo to the buyer for selecting only the best. read more

Cris Consignment is a must-see for anyone visiting San Francisco. It's well known to locals, and I recently re-discovered it on a layover. Plan to set aside a nice chunk of time for this place. This store consists of 2 rooms; one for casual ready-to-wear, and one for big name designers and couture. And the shoes! I have an awful time finding my size due to my small, narrow feet. But lo and behold, LOTS of size 5 designer shoes line YSL, Chanel, Jimmy Choo, and Blahnik. My tootsies were in heaven! A nice long rack of better jeans, tons of cashmere sweaters, purses, jewelry, sunglasses, etc. Gorgeous coats, suits, dresses, and evening wear as well. They have nice dressing rooms, and everything is grouped by color so it saves time browsing. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they wrap purchases in lovely paper trimmed with a flower! Please stop in this lovely store. You'll be glad you did! read more

i scored a viktor & rolf camel coat!

Horrible customer service!!! Cris, the owner, in particular, was rude, condescending, impatient, and arrogant. The store is cluttered and overstuffed. For a "boutique" consignment store, this one really misses the mark. The brands are there, but the atmosphere is certainly lacking. I would never recommend this store to anyone--I found the pricing to be inconsistent and Cris to be out of touch with fashion in general, just knowing and carrying your high-end brands does not a fashionista make. Never again! read more

The clothes are beautiful and the selection is great but the amount of clothes stuffed on the racks are way too much. They need to work on getting more sales of items moving out the door then what is coming in. I realized that the prices seemed a little high for used clothing no matter who the designer is. I have had a few friends consign there and they told me that the policy is for them to decide the prices for their items they consign. Unfortunately, owners tend to think their clothes are worth more then market value as this may be part of the reason there are hoards of clothes on the racks. read more

Can't believe I've never reviewed this place as I've been consigning here for years. In general it has worked for me, I've made some money off of my last-season designer duds. I frequently find things I'd like to buy when I go in to collect my consignment checks. All in all, I recommend. read more

The store has beautiful things and the people that work there are really fabulous! I also find unique clothes there walk away with a huge smile on my face. read more

awesome little consignment shop - the staff is so nice and the selection is wunnnnderffull! cris, the owner, is super chic and helpful. i've only consigned here, but every time i come i browse the racks (esp the bags and shoes) and wish that i wasn't trying to cut back my closet! literally you can find anything and everything - what a gem! and good quality! read more

I almost don't want to yelp about this because the fewer people who go, the more things left in my size!! But, I love Chris, she is the best and this consignment store is a pleasure to shop in! I always find something! read more

Got a beautiful designer dress and jacket for a great price. I also loved the fact that I could browse to my heart's content and try on a lot of different clothes. read more

there's something unsettling about seeing designer shoes scattered all over the sales floor like a flea market...but what else can you do when shelf real estate is set aside for premium designer duds? marc jacobs: floor, tory burch: floor, ysl: ehhh floor. other than the occasional shoe stumble, this place is very well organized. clothes are grouped by color and type. prices start at half the retail cost and could be marked down if it's been around for awhile. there are even a few new with tag items floating around. they seem to attract lots of foot traffic, which is awesome for sellers. come here to look like a million bucks for the price of only half! read more

Love going to this place. They have some very high-end pieces mixed with some more average run of the mill labels. A great place to find a good deal but as most stores like this are, it is hit or miss so go often! read more

Cris is fantastic...there are some items out of my budget (Chanel purse anyone?) but there are also lots of fantastic finds. The store is divided into two rooms-one is high end designer-the other is still designer but affordable-and occasionally one of the high end designer items ends up in the cheap area! Some clothes are brand new with the tags on them, some are gently worn, but all of them are desirable. I recently cleaned out my closet and sold $300.00 worth of merchandise! read more

CRIS is truly a treasure trove of amazing pieces. I have been to outlets that have new clothes with holes in them and look beat up...but Cris's 2nd hand clothing is impeccable in it's pristine condition...and there are all different price ranges that I have found 3 beautiful / sexy shirts that are super well fitting in perfect condition for $25-$35, as well as a sweater dress that is so amazing in it's design and fit...super unique...All the pieces she has are super unique, sexy, well fitting and true treasures. Robin is a find too...very capable, knowledgeable and extremely engaging in terms of seeing your style and finding items you might love...she is especially savvy in staying within your price range...very impressive in how well she represents Cris in quality and integrity...THIS SALES GIRL is a find and I hope SHE is as valued by the store that she represents so well ~ as she makes me feel when I see her...I only have been in the store 3 times and each time such amazing pieces I found and I have to say it was Robin's welcoming quality the first time I came in that really made me come back and buy the dress I was able to put on hold until closing the next day...really showed they valued my business~! PS...Have lived in the city since 1988 and always saw Cris whenever I was on Polk...can't believe it took me this long to walk in....Super glad I did! read more

Great selection but poorly organized....you have to strain your back just to check out the pile of shoes all over the floor of the store.... clothes are arranged by color NOT size which makes absolute no sense to me - very frustrating. Just be prepared to be in a scavenger-esque mood. read more

for upscale consignment, this place is the best! nice selection in a first-class atmosphere--a hidden treasure for sure.

love at first sight! black patent leather Gucci purse, its you and me, baby.

This was my 2nd time entering this store and i saw a Mulberry bag, decided to think about it and decided to call and see if the bag was still there since its been several weeks. I email and got a quick response from Nane. I actually got to meet her, super down to earth and the gorgeous elegant lady sitting behind the counter was very nice as well. Love this shop, saw some other bags but decided not to look, since I spent quite a bit already. Love this store and everyone was very nice. read more

this place is wonderful. it's consignment, but it's set up so that you feel you're shopping high-end...which for consignment, you are. it is very pricey, but the goods are impeccable. i linger longer on the side of the store minus haute couture in hopes to find that one marc jacobs piece calling my name. read more

My friends and I decided to go consignment shopping in the city this past Friday. We stopped in here and what a great shop! Great customer service, the clothes are in mint condition and some amazing finds/buys. The shoes are incredible. I have never seen so many high end gorgeous shoes in near new conditon: Prada, Jimmy Choo, Chanel to name a few. Definitely high end designer pieces. This feels more like a boutique especially with the fresh flowers & twine to wrap your items. We will be back. read more

The store is well organized, and the service is friendly and helpful. I didn't find the mark down on some items amazing, but then you'll come across a screaming deal. Most items seem like-new (or are new). Definitely a smart way to shop, and be able to wear designer items you may never otherwise afford (or allow yourself to). read more

One of the best consignment shops in Russian Hill... beautiful selection

I live on the east coast, I visited Cris' shop in March 06. I fell in love with the handbag selection. I bought three, I love them all! I would highly recommend this consignment shop to anyone looking for one of a kind, as well as, quality items. The fresh flowers, which are attached to your shopping bag, is an added "touch of appreciation" from Cris to the customer. I can't wait to get back to the west coast! Thanks Cris for a quality consignment shop! read more
