I was given a window of 11:30-3:30 for the installation, so I went to work at 8 and planned to be home during the time frame they gave me. At 10:19 am, I received a call from the Geek Squad tech saying he was 4 minutes away from my house. I told him that I was at work and this was not within the time frame I was given. He said he could only wait 15 minutes and if I was not at my house then the installation would need to be rescheduled. I raced out of work and sped home. I passed the Geek Squad van as I was entering my neighborhood and he was leaving. I called and texted him that I was home but he cancelled my appointment. I lost time at work and did not receive the expensive installation I paid for. I immediately requested a refund for the installation and do not intend to shop at Best Buy again in the future. I have already found a private individual to install my TV for a fraction of the cost I was prepared to pay Best Buy.

She was incredibly disrespectful from the start. We needed help at checkout because our items had security tags, and there was no one available. The only employee around was standing by the returns area doing nothing but talking with co workers. When my girlfriend went up to ask for help, Taliah immediately had an attitude. When my girlfriend turned her back and walked away, Taliah made a comment under her breath, and shook her head like we were inconveniencing her just for asking for assistance. Then we were left standing there for about seven minutes while she continued doing whatever she was doing. When she finally came over, she acted like helping us was a burden. No apology, no urgency, just a rude, dismissive attitude the entire time. If you don't want to help customers, you shouldn't be working in customer service. This was a terrible experience, and if I was looking for an employee to not hire and promote it would be her.

If there was a manager I'm sure not one that was out and about to check on the staff or the customers or even if things were being kept up and stocked. Maybe they had the day off. The reason I came here was because the closest Apple Store is over an hour away from Athens, and I thought this would be convenient. At the Apple Store, a transfer takes 2-3 hours max. I was fine with waiting a few extra days, though. I called on Wednesday to check the status of the transaction and they had forgotten about it and had yet to begin working on my computer. I started writing this post two years ago and just found it in my drafts, so I'll post what I have. Don't remember much more than what was already typed other than it was one of the worst customer service experiences in my life. Pretty sure they kept my computer for about a week and ended up not being able to do anything with it. Ended up driving to Apple and got it fixed within a day. It's right in the heart of downtown Athens, and it offers everything you would need and expect from an independently owned record shop that has survived many decades. Great collections and variety, while also extremely and intentionally organized. Some of my favorite bands have come out of the Classic City that is Athens, GA such as R.E.M, The B-52's, and Widespread Panic, so it only makes sense that there would be such an epic and well-known record shop here. If you know Athens, especially downtown, you know parking is limited and they do ticket if you don't pay the meters, so definitely recommend going during the week and earlier in the day.
