After unsuccessfully going through several YouTube clips to try to solve the problem, I went back to "Russell Cellular" (deceptively says "Verizon" on the bldg) where I bought the internet/phone package. They told me to delete and reinstall all the apps and if that didn't work they would replace the router. So I reinstalled everything - no go. Went back to Russell Cellular and a new person told me that I was SOL - nothing they could do to help and I would need to go to the "FIOS" store in Waltham. Frustrated but determined, I went to that store (which turned out to be just another retail outlet called "R Wireless", also with just "Verizon" on the sign). They told me that "there is no such thing as a FIOS store" and that they couldn't help me either. They gave me an 800# to call. When I called the 800# (offshore somewhere) the guy solved the problem in about a half hour through a video session. The Smart TV had to be hard set to 5GHz to prevent downshifting to 2.4GHz which caused all the problems. Why does it have to be so painful to get simple answers at Verizon "affiliate" stores. Can't you just train them with the basics of good customer service instead of "oh no we can't help fix your problem, we only sell stuff". I hated xFinity's greed and arrogance with billing tactics, but at least you can walk into a store and get answers.

I was on the phone with T-mobile for 5-6 hrs this morning trying to get an emergency replacement so at least I could be virtually present during her passing. I spoke to at least a dozen people (when I could get through to a person) who were nice and tried to help me but the company itself wouldn't allow it. They denied my insurance claim and told me it could be resolved in a few days despite me and the dozens of contacts I made during those dozens of calls all emphasizing the urgency of the situation. Mind you I have no phone at this point. Having had it with that bullshit I went down the street to AT&T and got a new phone. Mind you I had to go across town to get my fucking account from a different T-mobile store in order to make this happen. WTF It's like T-mobile wanted me to be upset and miss my mother's passing. Anyways I just want to recognize Isaiah A. from the Roslindale AT&T store at 718 American Legion Hwy for not only being kind but also recognizing a fellow person in distress and making the whole process smooth as I kicked T-mobile to the curb. Because of Isaiah I'm able to have a few moments to reflect on my wonderful mother before she passes. And at least I'll be able to be there virtually by phone. Thanks Isaiah! I wish I had given you a hug.

He gave me in depth knowledge and honesty that made the process easy and I never felt in any way pressured to purchase. I could tell he really cared about making sure I had the right guitar for me, and spent a lot of time making sure that I knew the best ways to care for it and ensure it did everything I wanted it to. The store itself is the nicest guitar center I have been to and all of the departments were well stocked and welcoming. 10/10 recommend, the manager John was fantastic and Aiden was the best I could ask for!

This store is huge with lots of selection of wide ranging guitars. You can try them - they have these plugin amp stations. The gentleman Glenno who helped us was great! He showed us the guitars that the hubs wanted to try out. He explained relevant things. We got to talking about music and playing in bands and he said he plays in a band called The Pitches - great name btw and that they were going to be playing a show in the near future. Anyway the hubs needed a second guitar and chose a beautiful teal-ish colored one. We also asked about a case and straps. They had a bag not case but the bag actually turned out to be pretty good and much better than we expected. Good quality and has backpack straps so it's easy to carry. We also picked out a strap - there were a lot to choose from - hubs chose a simple black one. Overall we were very satisfied with the store, the amazing selection of guitars and the friendly customer service! Glenno knew what he was talking about! We'll be back in case we need any other guitar supplies for sure!
