I can't remember the last time I was here, it must have been some 20 years ago, but the park has changed some what, and so much for the better. I was there with my guys and we walked and rocked the paths, hopefully leaving smiles behind. The trails are nicely defined, and the old growth trees are beautiful to walk beneath, it helps to keep it cool in the heat of a Florida summer. The pier used to go out to the depths of the water, but currently we're in a drought, so the table is low, the shoreline has receeded, letting the flora and fauna thrive. This really is a gem in Pasco, Co.

My department went here for a company picnic. I had never been here before and was pleasantly surprised! There are several picnic shelters and two big pavilions. Our group reserved one of the pavilions, which face the water. There are paved and unpaved trails for walking and/or bike riding. Apparently there is a replica train people can ride as well as a campground. I didn't venture over to those areas. The bathroom was clean and there are plenty of trees to shade the picnic areas. I would like to go back another time to check out more trails and the rest of the park.

OH, OH, OH, OH MY GOODNESS! This is one INCREDIBLE PARK w/ 113 acres of nature. I was blown away by how BEAUTIFUL this free park is! COME ON UP, TAMPA RESIDENTS! It's open to the public seven days weekly from DAWN (7 AM) to DUSK (6:30 PM - 8 PM). This is a gift! One I wish to share... Here's what this GORGEOUS Pasco County park offers: An observation tower, a bird house, a paved bike trail, 2.5 miles of easy nature/hiking trails (woods & lakeshore), a botanical garden (bees & butterflies), a tower, an outdoor amphitheater, garden pond/gazebo, primitive camping (9 sites), primitive group camping/log cabin (1 site), shelters (4), pavilions (2), clean restrooms, a boardwalk, a fishing pier/dock, a horseshoe pit, a picnic area, a boat ramp, canoe access, a large playground w/ a basketball court an athlete field for softball & baseball, & a volleyball court. The trails offer a variety of nature habitats: "Sandhills, scrubby flatwoods, cypress domes, oak hammocks, & the shore of Crews Lake." Leashed dogs are allowed. Alcoholic beverages & skateboards are not. Suncoast Trail is located closeby "and can be accessed via public roads & sidewalks." The park also offers The Central Pasco Gulf Railroad, Inc.-- Jan thru November ($1.00 donation). This MINIATURE railroad operates FREE here on the second Saturday of the month from 10 AM - 3 PM. Board it near Shelter #2 beside the log cabin. (It can be reserved for birthday parties by contacting the railroad @ #727-645-2508.) TO RESERVE the shelters ($25), pavilions ($45), group cabin ($40 nightly), primitive camping sites ($10 nightly), &/or the open field, dial #727-861-3038 or email DJay@pascocountyfl.net. I don't think I've ever visited a NICER nature park. With the overhead canopy of healthy trees, the absolute peace & quiet, the long wooden pier, the multitude of lily pads, & w/ the sun shining on the water, for a couple of hours I was blessed-- this park is pure Heaven. I can't wait to return! Truly MAGNIFICENT!

Finally made our way here and so glad we did! It's such a cute little park. Playground for the kids and lots of walking paths. They also have easy to get to bathrooms which as a parent is a necessity. We will definitely be back!

Welcome to Weeki Wachee Springs... home of one of the Sunshine State's original roadside attractions. (second maybe only to orange juice stands). If you love clear water, gentle humor, fun costumes, old Florida, a little razzle dazzle and a whole lot of bubbles, you'll get a kick out of the mermaid shows. The mermaids have their own theater and the kids aren't the only ones who get sucked into the fairy tale. The vibes are so laid back, you could be lulled into forgetting how hard these underwater moves are. They make it look easy-but there's some serious athleticism and training, behind all of the underwater fun... and they do it all... while wearing tails! (like Ginger Rogers keeping up with Fred Astaire-but backwards and in high heels) The mermaid show is adjacent to the water park. They share a parking lot and a ticket window. You could make a day out of it. There's a cute gift shop... and random peacocks wandering around... plus photo ops with the mermaids. I love the history of this place-they do a good job sharing it at the show. I'll let them tell you. The show is part of Weeki Wachee State Park. When i went (March 2026), it was $13 for adults-I think $8 for kids and I believe the youngest ones get in free. The water park and paddle boarding are extra but the admission covers the mermaids and I think the river cruise is included. The mermaid shows run a few times a day-and seats fill up quickly, so get there about 30 minutes early on busier days (summer and weekends). It's so Florida-you've gotta go! Have fun!

We were late for the show, because the website failed to post times and were unreachable via phone, email, or the websites frequently asked questions. We caught the last 15 minutes of the show as it runs from 11-11:30, 1:30-2pm and 3-3:30pm. It's a relatively small park. The mermaid show is cute if you have children under the age of 10 years old. Otherwise, give it a miss. Admission is $13 ea a little less for kids. 4 of us cost about $42 for entrance fees. They have a water slide that was not operating. They have a small "nature " walk. They have a boat that was not running to look at nature and they have a 30 minute animal encounter educational experience with a ranger. She showed and talked about two kinds of turtles, a snake and a small alligator. Walking around they have photo ops to look like a mermaid and after the show you have a chance to photograph yourself with a live mermaid from the show. If you have $50- $100 your kid can have a "mermaid makeover". We were at the park for maybe 1.5 hours. I suppose if the boat was running and the water slide was operating one could spend up to 3 hours. It was an interesting experience. Once is enough.

We walked past every booth, exploring what each one served, foods, trinkets, T shirts and other hand made craft items. We settled on grouper sandwiches from burger boyz, a Hispanic twist on some of the worst foods we've ever eaten. I just wanted clam strips. (You usually get a good sized portion) not this place! 2 huge scoops of nasty, cold rice with very little flavor and it was a bit mushy. Then a tiny cup , half filled with soured coleslaw. Just a handful of small clam strips. When I say small, I mean half the size of a normal clam strips. They were ok. $10.00 for a very watered down lemonade. The food and drink cost close to $40.00!!!! Lousy food, lousy service! Now the funnel cake was from a food truck called, A fork in the road. THEY are the only reason for 2 stars. The funnel cake was fried to a golden brown and loaded with powdered sugar. Very delicious. Their price $10.00, reasonable for how thick and large the funnel cake was. The 2 young men serving were pleasant and eagerly smiled as they held up their masterpiece. There were tents set up with tables and chairs. But, there were no lights so we had to eat in the dark. There was a band playing. They were pretty good, playing rock and roll. To be honest with anyone reading this review, we will not go back to one of these seafood festivals. The food was terrible, the service was bad and the prices were ridiculously stupid! Definitely not worth the money. By the time we made it home, none of us were feeling good. We were bloated, a bit nauseated too. Sorry to say, but this was the worst seafood festival we've ever been to.

The sand is good, they even have a handicap walk out on the beach to make it easy for those in wheelchairs. They do not have any beach wheelchairs, however, at least that's what I was told by someone who worked there. They are very few handicap parking spots.

There was no one in the park upon my visit-- at least no other vehicle was parked in the designated lot. Had I screamed, NO ONE would have heard me but the animals. I did not feel safe being there alone. And NO DOGS are allowed. I didn't take many pics; I was too busy looking around to see if Freddy Krueger, Patrick Bateman, Norman Bates, Candyman, Leatherface, Ghostface, Hannibal Lecter, Michael Myers, Scarecrow, Negan, Reaper, Jason Vorhee, Chucky, & others of that ilk were following me!
