As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by framed photos of celebrities ranging from musicians to athletes who have dined here. Even the Stanley Cup has made an appearance. The atmosphere is very old-school Italian--dimly lit, cozy, and intimate. The menu isn't particularly extensive and leans heavily toward cream-based sauces. For appetizers, we ordered the Avocado and Shrimp and the Insalata Caprese. The Caprese was solid, with a generous portion and fresh ingredients. The Avocado and Shrimp, however, was swimming in a sauce that wasn't the cocktail sauce we were expecting, which made it less enjoyable. For our entrees, we chose the Duo of Filet Medallions and the Linguini al Granchio, which featured a nice portion of lump crab. One thoughtful touch was that, since we were sharing, the kitchen plated both dishes for us rather than making us swap plates at the table. We finished the meal with a lemon dessert that was a nice way to end the evening. Overall, the food was good and the service had some nice touches, but the pricing felt excessive for what we received. After tip, dinner for two came to nearly $380, which is hard to justify given the overall experience. While I can appreciate the history, atmosphere, and reputation of Donatello's, the value simply wasn't there for me.

So delicious The one thing unique about this place is they tell you, order any classic Italian dishes and they can make it. I asked for chicken cacciatore, and was told, "sorry we can't make that". Very disappointing. I had to settle for chicken parmigiana. All of our dishes were delicious but still disappointed.

The food is homemade, authentic, and the prices are very reasonable given the quality. We started with the calamari salad 5/5 which is non breaded calamari , cucumbers , red pepper with lemon and olive oil. It was enough for 2 to share and was light and fresh . The eggplant Parmesan 4/5 was rich and comforting, not too heavy on sauce and cheese which I prefer. The beef lasagna with pink sauce 5/5 was so perfectly tender , hearty, cheesy, and clearly made from scratch ...one of those simple but perfect dishes! The chicken Marsala 5/5 came with pasta and broccoli ...super tender and paired beautifully with its mushroom Marsala wine sauce. We ended the meal with the tiramisu 5/5 , perfectly creamy, light, and not overly sweet. The espresso flavor really came through, making it one of the best I've ever had. A few things to know: the restaurant is very small with limited seating, and they don't take reservations. They also don't allow kids, so the atmosphere stays quiet and intimate. they're only open for dinner and take out seemed busy. There was also a standard 20% tip no matter the party size which I was fine with as service was outstanding! Osteria Natalina is a hidden gem. I will definitely be coming back to try more dishes!

My boyfriend and I came during Valentine's Day night and had a thirty minute wait past our reservation time because THE PLACE WAS PPPPAAAACCCKKKEEDD. Trying to find parking here was a nightmare. This is not their fault and understandable, as it's Saturday and a busy night for dinner. Needless to say, my boyfriend and I weren't in a very great mood from the start. Ah, but man did everything turn around once we (finally) got seated, and that's a very hard thing to do with my boyfriend once he has a somewhat negative impression. Despite the slamming activity, the staff here REALLY kept the energy up, not once faltering, greeting us with a smile and listening as we placed our orders. Me, thank GOODNESS I did my homework of the menu online and really wanted the lasagna, Jenn salad, and Tiramisu. And wouldn't you know, the food here was OUTSTANDING. We started our meal with delicious homemade bread with olive oil. I really enjoyed the Jenn salad despite its simplicity, but something about it was so gooood. And then, the lasagna came out. It was shockingly light for lasagna, all those layers of pasta, tomatoes, ricotta, and ground meat. I could just run my fork through it. No knife needed. I loved how it wasn't drowning in red sauce (not generally a fan of it, but I do tolerate it in some dishes, however, the bechemel sauce was quite the nice surprise) and was accompanied with the bechemel sauce instead giving it a creamy finish that didn't weigh down. That was good, because I was determined to get dessert, and I went after the tiramisu. So good. Haven't had any tiramisu IN YEARS, so it was was nice to get my hands on some. Theirs was light and fluffy with the coffee and chocolate flavor that I just love. Despite it looking kinda small, oh I was pretty full by the end. My boyfriend was raving about the food and happily had their Bananas Foster. Quite impressive for many reasons since he's not a huge fan of Italian food. Even though we took our time enjoying the cozy place and savoring our food, next time we come back, we'll go on a not so busy night. I'll probably get the same thing, too.

The waitress was rude and condescending throughout dinner service. I was embarrassed. We ordered 7 appetizers to share. Which were great but the empty dirty plates sat. The restaurant was not busy as we had a 5:15 reservation. I had to ask her to clear the table. She responded with the process and policy of doing so after dinner orders were taken. We still needed time to recheck menus surrounded by dirty plates. My husband asked for bread and was told they don't provide bread until after the entree orders are taken, further elaborating that people eat bread and don't order an entree, Seriously! We ordered and the dishes were cleared, except for 2 of our party and bread was brought. She asked the guests to pick up some food that fell off the dishes to help her clean the table. I don't understand customer service or dining experience when the guests are lectured on restaurant policy. I paid the 700 bill, and they auto generated a tip for horrible service. We normally would have ordered a few after dinner drinks - but were disgusted with the lack of attention and service. I will never go back!

When we arrived, we were told there would be a short wait because a few tables had paid but hadn't left yet. About 15 minutes passed, but every staff member was incredibly kind throughout the process. They even came outside and brought us complimentary champagne to apologize, which immediately set the tone for the night. We hadn't even sat down yet, and they had already made us feel valued. From the moment we walked inside, the atmosphere was incredible. The energy, the ambiance, and the service exceeded every expectation I had for my first Michelin restaurant experience. Our server, Elijah, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, intentional, and genuinely passionate about creating a great experience. Sophie also gave fantastic wine recommendations that paired perfectly with our entrées. The mozzarella cart is an absolute must. There is no reason to visit Rocca and skip it. While it was being prepared, we had the opportunity to talk with Mason about life, goals, and dreams, and it felt like talking with an old friend. Later, after mentioning how much we loved the music, Kingston came over, found out we were in town for the J. Cole concert, and played J. Cole throughout the rest of the evening. It was such a thoughtful, personal touch that made the night even more memorable. To top it off, the restaurant brought us additional complimentary bites as another apology for the initial wait, even though we already felt they had gone above and beyond. The food was phenomenal. Every dish was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Two people in our group have spent significant time in Italy, and both said it was the best Italian food they've had anywhere in America. We finished the evening with espresso, stayed until closing, and never once felt rushed. In fact, we were told they would happily stay all night if we wanted to keep enjoying ourselves. Thank you to Elijah, Sophie, Mason, Kingston, and everyone at Rocca for creating such an unforgettable evening. If I'm ever within two hours of Tampa again, I'll be coming back. God bless you all.
