The most unprofessional, lazy, irresponsible and disorganized company ever. They will take all your money, do a half assed job and leave you hanging for ever. Similar to other reviews here, the trouble starts when they arrive. They did show up on the right day.(the first time) The project will take 5 days to finish. The installer asked if he could park his trailer in our driveway. We assumed he meant while he worked. Sure I can see that. We live in the city. It's closer to the house. Less walking back and forth. More security over his equipment. O.k.. Oh no, he meant all week. After a quick 5hr. first day, he's out but the trailer will be staying. What??? I now have a dining room full of all the stuff that was supposed to be going in my kitchen and a trailer in my driveway. They also asked for a key to the garage. Again I assumed they wanted to get at some electricity for the power tools. Understandable. I came home the next day to find the trailer parked on half my driveway and his truck taking the other half and his tools and a bunch of supplies stored in my garage. What the f is in the trailer if you have stuff in my garage, dining room and my kitchen? O.k. be calm. Just get them done and gone. It really got no better all week. I just want them done and gone. Well some pieces were missing some were built wrong (not their fault) and damage had been done to my house. A month later and I'm still waiting for the replacement parts and repairs. Looks like I'll be waiting another month. Because this company has no communication skills or follow through. Home Depot will be of little help to you in resolving issues. I would give ZERO Stars if I could. Whatever you do, DO NOT GO WITH HOME DEPOT who uses CREW2 for your carpet install. THEY WILL ROB YOU BLIND. You will end up with carpeting that is shot and matted after a very short period of time (one year for us). Trust me, the "free install" IS NOT WORTH IT!!!!! They basically cut the carpet and throw it in and do not stretch (an inspector from Crew2 also verified this happened with their OWN company and still won't fix) which inevitably will leave you with RUINED carpeting in the end that they will refuse to replace. I have gone rounds with Home depot and Crew2 who play the blame game. They do not call or email back but after spending hours chasing people down to fix the problem they will ultimately admit to their wrong doing by giving you a SMALL refund ($400 refund after spending $5,000 for me) which is a small fraction of the cost you originally spent. I have never been so unhappy and appalled by these two companies and how they do business. They DO NOT care about their customers satisfaction whatsoever, are RUDE and do not listen. We bought new kitchen cabinets at Home Depot and used Crew2 to in theory, streamline and hasten the install. We bought the cabinets in Dec. and the design work with Jewls went well. We received the cabinets right on time. Everything after that went south. It's almost July and we still can't use the kitchen. I would not use Home Depot or Crew2 ever again for a project like this. I really regret the entire purchase. Wish I could have a do-over. We spent a premium price and got sub par service. The kitchen looks OK, but now electrical doesn't work. read more

Had my water heater go out. Called local plumbers and they all were $400 more than Home Depot The installer Joe and Gina called and came out on time. They installed my water heater and did a great job cleaning up the area and taking the old heater away. Joe and Gina took time to show me the settings and how to change the heat settings. Kitchen project has been nothing but a nightmare and very poor communication by crew2. 100% DO NOT recommend! We are in month 3 and still cannot finish our kitchen due to a broken cabinet and incorrect doors and a panel. Crew2 has no answers on when they will be able to finish our cabinets. The collaboration between Home Depot and Crew2 ( installers ) is a complete joke. We never write reviews however, I truly hope this saves someone the hassle we just went through. We have purchased carpet from Home Depot in the past when they had different installers and had a wonderful experience but what we just went through with our recent order was ridiculous. After ordering our carpet the merchandise arrived to Crew2 within the timeframe promised. We were called to schedule installation and did so. The Thursday before our Friday installation date we received a call at 2pm saying our carpet had been lost and they would need to cancel our install. We were disappointed but things happen so we were understanding. Kenton, from Crew2, promised to work on resolving the issue over the weekend and contact us on Monday. That call never came. We had to contact them and it took several messages and contact attempts for him to even answer. At that time he confirmed he would just have to reorder the carpet because they never found it. Again, frustrating, but we adjusted plans with our contractor and called it a day. I received a voicemail from Kenton stating it had been reordered and would be in and installed in our home in 1.5-2weeks. We waited and at the 1.5 week mark when we hadn't heard anything again I called for an update. Home Depot couldn't find the order and bounced us around to several clueless individuals. Much to our surprise the carpet had never been reordered at all. Along with this we were shuffled around from person to person trying to get answers. Crew2 would say to contact Home Depot and Home Depot would say to contact Crew2. We were promised call backs that never came, promised to be included in email conversations which never happened, promised compensation which happened (at less than 10%) only after daily phone calls to multiple people for almost a week. If you value your time and money you should absolutely avoid purchasing carpet from Home Depot until they switch installers. Their product is not special enough to ever justify dealing with the worst customer service we've ever experienced. read more

I HIGHLY recommend this company. Installer was right on time, worked hard to complete the job in a timely manner, and cleaned up everything when he left. I was super impressed with him and his work ethic. Carpet is beautiful; job was fantastic. Side note: when he arrived in his van, he parked in the driveway and immediately put down protection on the cement in case there was any oil dropped from his vehicle. We have had a plethora of workers in/out of the house in the last month due to renovation, and none of them did this simple thing that made a huge difference. Well done, Crew 2! read more

Installed kitchen including cabinets and electrical. During the installation there were several issues that needed addressing (incorrect measurements and delays). In trying to get things scheduled or simply to have someone return my call or email was nearly impossible. I am now trying to contact them about some faulty electrical and have left several emails, voicemails, and have been disconnected more times than I wish to count. Used crew2 via Home Depot flooring purchase and install. The scheduling was a bit off in the beginning but I don't know if this was Home Depot or crew2 but everything was fine after a phone call. Crew2 called to schedule the install, good communication about the install and accurate install timing. The crew showed up on the morning promised and finished when they expected (3 day tear out of carpet and tile, install LVP). The crew was courteous, safe, professional and nice. The crew boss showed up mid project to verify the work was satisfactory and approve progress. We had a walkthrough at the end of the project to verify everything was satisfactory. This is home construction so things get dirty, it's loud and....it's construction. If anyone thinks new flooring is quick, simple and seemless they need to come back to earth. Only suggested improvements would be on the estimate side (think this was Home Depot, not crew2) as the estimator called for incorrect baseboard trim that we did not use, and for a little more communication about setting up the labor and quick message the day before to give the homeowner peace of mind that the crew will be there the next day. I received an email letting me know labor would be scheduled after material arrived at Home Depot but it didn't get scheduled until it was at my house and I called Home Depot, then I received a phone call to schedule the labor and hoped they would show up when promised. read more

Crew2 installer arrived on time; installed carpet in under 90 min and it looked great. Very satisfied!

So thank you to Ben for his response. We did have a quality inspector who came to our home and proceeded to agree with our assessment of damage and poor installation. He then explained exactly how the installers caused all of the damage and poor installation. Crew 2 is supposed to come on February 3 to reinstall the carpet on the stairs. They also told us that after that is complete, they would discuss reimbursement for the damages. Today is January 24 - more than a month after the initial installation. I am sincerely hoping they show up on February 3 AND they offer AND actually pay reimbursement for damage that needs to be repaired as they said they would. We'll see what happens...... read more

I will never use Crew2 again. Original floor was put in Nov 21' and was falling apart and separating within two weeks due to poor install. It took till Sept 22' to get it fixed. Installers were to be here 9/12/22 to replace flooring and did not show. Lost day of work, Crew2 did not contact me, I had to contact them to find out why. The crew came 9/13/22 without the plyboard underpayment, again. Two hour battle with Crew2 on this, again. First day was hours of contact with Crew2 about issues. Floor is now correct and solid. The installers did a good job but their people at Crew2 are ineffective at their jobs of communication with their teams. Never again. read more

Well this was for a carpet install. When the two guys showed up a thought boy this is a shady lookin couple guys. It whatever. I walked into the home with them and explained that some thin brick flooring I did was still wet and that they can't walk on it. They shook their head yes. Then they walked all over it. Then I realized they did not understand English. At that point I just walked away and let them do their thing. Came back the next mornin to look around. Baseboard Tim was really beat up in a few spots. Assuming where they stretched it and missed and hit trim. Paint scraped off walls in quite a few spots from scrapping carpet against it as well. my Home Depot experience is now over. Completely disappointed. read more

The flooring contractors for Home Depot did a fine job. They were willing to go above and beyond expectations. HD depends on the contractors to be a face for the company outside their doors. These folks - Rosie, David and Hector were fine folks and I appreciate their very hard work. Dealing with Home Depot was a matter of success despite their intermittent foul ups. Krew 2 (Home Depot) was outrageous in their up charge for additional work to rectify a minor bump in their estimate. I did the work myself! $625 for 15 minutes work! Delivery was fouled up. Return for excess material was a pain. Review of the estimate on-line and in- house was less than stellar. As long as one has a reasonable/comptent installer I would still recommend Home Depot. It might be a pain but at least they hire good subcontractors. Plural because two days later I had a dishwasher delivered. It was on time and the shipper immediately called to assure satisfaction. read more

I just finished the basement in our new house and ordered carpet from Home Depot. When Crew2 came out to install it, they damaged 2 baseboards and 3 walls in a brand new house. I had a couple estimates done and gave them the lowest estimate at just over $800. They come back to me two months later and offer me $100. Finally I just did a chargeback on our credit card for the amount and got our money back instead of trying to deal with them. So many good companies out there, Crew2 is not one of them. read more

DO NOT EVER HIRE CREW2 for Flooring or ANY Home Improvement Project DO NOT EVER hire Crew 2 Flooring Installers who was contracted by @HomeDepot to install our new carpeting. #worstcarpetinstallation They showed up 9 hours late (after 5 phone calls) - we're supposed to arrive at 10am to do our whole 2nd floor and stairs but didn't arrive until at 6:40 PM! and didn't finish until 1:30 AM!' On top of all that, we had moved all furniture, pictures (stripped bare 2nd floor) to make it easy for them. When they left we had no place to sleep AND they left left huge tacks + staples on 1st floor hardwood and all over our driveway. My husband and son had to sweep away the debris so we wouldn't wake the neighbors at 5:30am when taking our son to track practice. Complete and utter nighmare for $4600 -- oh and to add insult to injury Crew 2's "Project Manager" offered us only $400 for the inconvenience?!!! I took the whole day off and didn't get any sleep -- it cost me more money than the damn carpeting. We will never use them again!!!!!!! read more

First attempt at carpet install: -Show up slightly late -Because kd time frame, I move all the furniture with my husband to expedite process (they were supposed to move it) -Do not have proper booties or foot coverings, and nothing to protect recently installed carpet (not NY them!) on my stairs, tracking water/salt from driveway on flooring I don't even wear dry shoes on. -An hour and a half into the job (on a Friday evening) "bad news, we don't have all the carpet to complete your job, it's not on the truck" -Then told, "the warehouse is closed for the weekend, someone should probably call you Monday, but we can keep working on thr other part od the job​" -Installers in my home for more than 5 hours, it's getting close to 10 pm. They tell me they have been working since around 6 am. I feel bad for them and want them out of my house, so my husband and I move furniture around to sleep that evening (they should have done, but I felt bad for them). 1/3 of the job not even started! Not demoed, not pad installed, nothing other than closet doors ripped off. -Because job not complete, furniture all over the other living spaces of my house to keep "pending" room clear. -Monday am I call Crew2, and get bull s answers on what is going on, and after settling on a time for Monday afternoon, get a call back from Steve indicating that the crew is concerned with the weather and Wednesday would be better... 2 more days if my house in disarray. -I take off another afternoon of work Wednesday to be here for the 3 hour install window. Get a call 14 min from end of install window saying crew is behind, and may be an additional al 2.5 hours later than window. I express my DEEP displeasure, and get told to "understand things happen at job sites". -Wedneaday installers show up (2 hours 19 min AFTER install window), have one 5 ft blanket to use to protect my main level carpet (recently installed), nothing for my stairs, and nothing for the upstairs landing just installed on Friday. And, apparently have "one pair of booties", where again water and salt from snow Wednesday being tracked in. We scramble to find rugs, towels, blankets for them to walk on the flat ground, no stairs protection, again. -crew looks at area, and panics tha they don't believe they have enough carpet to do the job. They call their superiors and determine they do. -This crew was at least understanding and kind about limiting trips in and out on the unprotected carpet, which i appreciate. -upon arrival, I ask this crew what time they started working, they tell me 6 am. -Install lasts 2+ hours, and we again feel bad they have been working that long and with terrible communication, we send them out of our house around 7:30 pm, no closet doors hung or furniture moved back, because we didn't want them there another hour and felt bad for their schedule. So, we complete that portion again ourselves. -Steve P. has zero empathy for the customer experience and will provide a thousand excuses why it isn't their fault. -From what I'm reading, Ben will do the same thing, so I surely hope the readers here just remove themselves from being subject to this clown show. -I will be sure to call my local Home Depot and route them to this page to see just how many folks have had horrid experiences like mine, and urge them to disconnect from the partnership with Crew2 so other people dont go through this horrendous joke with their hard earned money.​ read more

Do not want to give it 1 star. DO NOT USE CREW2!! I met with a consultant at Home Depot in February 2022 to choose a sink and countertop and they let me know the countertop people Crew2, Inc. would be contacting me which they did. Crew2 came out to measure but then I didn't hear from them. I called them and they told me the hold up was because of the edging and that I would have to choose a different edging. I chose another edging and again didn't hear back. I called them again and they scheduled the installation for July 29. Yes I had waited this LONG!! I contacted a plumber to take out my existing sink and he came the night before. I called Crew2 by 11:00 a.m. on the 29th because they were supposed to come in the morning and they told me they hadn't cut the countertop!! I again had my plumber come back to reconnect my old sink. Home Depot told me that if I wanted to cancel my order I would need to put my sink on my outdoor (duplex) front step and FedEx would be by within a WEEK to pick it up! My step is about 2 feet wide and both sides of the duplex use this step and there was a chance of rain!! Because I didn't want that to happen I gave them a second chance. This time for today August 15th. I again had the plumber come out this morning to take out my sink. Guess what?? Crew2 doesn't have my countertop cut!! WILL NEVER USE CREW2!! UPDATE: Crew2 responded and said they offered me a free countertop. THEY DID NOT OFFER ME A FREE COUNTERTOP!! They called to tell me that if I chose another type of surface they could get it done. I told them that EVEN IF THEY OFFERED IT FOR FREE I WOULD NOT ALLOW THEM TO PERFORM THE WORK. read more

I am trustee for my nephew who is on social security disability. The trust provides a house for him and pays for associated costs. The hot water heater needed replacement. It had been out for days, and my nephew had a place to shower, so this was inconvenient but no emergency. We ordered a 12 year hot water heater and its installation through Home Depot#2721, which subcontracts installation to Crew 2.. The Crew 2 installers substituted a 6 year hot water heater without lowering the price and verbally claimed to my nephew (and me over the phone since I live a day's travel away) that it was the right one, a 12 year model. Note that the 12 year model costs much more and that the 6 year model will likely last half as long so they are not equivalent. I paid by credit card over the phone. I asked my nephew to print out the receipt and put it with the other hot water heater papers. He noticed then that the paperwork said a 6 year model, although the price listed and paid was for the 12 year model. I brought this to the attention of Home Depot #2721 Ann Arbor. The manager agreed that I ordered the 12 year model, and he had it in writing. He verified that the installers must have known they were installing a 6 year model because that is on the box etc. I asked to have the 12 year model instead of the 6 year model or the price paid reduced by half since the 6 year model is likely to last only half as long before replacement is needed. The installers refused to replace the hot water heater and offered about 25% off and a warranty extension of 5 not 6 years, and refused to do more. No credible explanation was offered. No apology was offered. Crew 2 installed the hot water heater on 2/22/21. Nine days after installation the hot water heater stopped heating water. I do not know whether Crew 2 tried a "bait and switch," where a more expensive product is ordered and paid for but a less expensive product is delivered, leaving the business with more profit. Possibly the installers were just trying to save time and get on to the next job, since this was taking longer than planned, instead of finding the correct model. (The installers woke my nephew up the morning of installation to take photos of the existing hot water heater and answer questions about it. However, when they arrived, they realized they had to use a shorter hot water heater than the one they brought. As a result of this mixup by the installers I was worried they would have another mixup and not bring a 12 year model so I verified this repeatedly.) What I know to be a fact because of my direct involvement through texts and phone calls throughout the day of the installation, is that the Crew 2 installers verified orally to my nephew when they brought the second water heater, the one which was actually installed, that it was the right one, the 12 year one. Again, after installation and before payment ,my nephew had me and the installers on speakerphone when asking and verifying with the installer that this was a 12 year model. Clearly, the installers verbally misinformed me and my nephew. They may also have misinformed their Crew 2 manager about the substitution, but that does not make Crew 2 less culpible. As a retired social worker, not just a trustee for a vulnerable adult, I am concerned that Crew 2 may be taking advantage of people. read more

I purchased a carpet in early July 2019 from the Home Depot in Southport, IN and it was installed by Crew2 on July 26, 2019. There is a problem with the alignment of the seams causing the carpet to come up and some of the carpet strands coming undone. See attached pictures. I have contacted the Home Depot at the Southport, IN (Store # 2012) store several times since my purchase and she arranged for the installers (Crew2) to come out to see the issue twice. The installers could NOT fix the seams or the issue with the loose strands and I am stuck with this defective carpet. I am looking for resolution of this problem. I should not have to accept such poor quality for what I paid! Any Ideas? Gil G. read more

Don't use this company! There has to be a better way to get a door installed! We began the process of having a French door installed to replace our patio door on October 10, 2018. Today, January 4, 2019 we are cancelling due to frustration over STILL not having the new door installed. I was told Crew 2 would call to schedule the install. I waited 3 days before tracking down a contact number to call myself. Left a message with no returned call. Eventually contacted another individual who scheduled me for measurement but made it clear it would be 6 weeks before an install would be available. On December 18 an installer arrived but said the door had been mismeasured and wouldn't fit. I would get a call that day telling me how he would fix it. No surprise - I did not get a call. I spoke with Crew 2. They were aware of the issue but said Home Depot would handle it - not them. My understanding is they now have new measurements to build me a custom door with an additional price tag of $1000 and another 6 week wait. My first question is when did Crew 2 get this new measurement? If it was when the installer came and within 5 minutes knew he had the wrong door.... I'm sorry. The first installer was here 10 minutes took multiple measurements, wrote them down, and still got it wrong! You want me to trust the 2nd guy who was here less time, used his tape measure once and I saw nothing written down?! There has to be a simpler process for having a door installed thru Home Depot. We have completed many home improvement projects and never had this much difficulty. read more

We had new carpet installed today by crew 2 through the Home Depot. Through the whole process they were good communicators (calling to set up install, calling to confirm 2 days in advance, and calling when 30 minutes out on the day of install). When arriving they looked at the space and then had me go out to the truck to confirm the carpet was correct. They were fast. Setting up, moving furniture, installing, and then clean up only took two hours for two bedrooms (and respective closets). Professional, curtious, and continuous stream of good communication. I would recommend this company and I will be happy to use them again for our future home renovations. read more

11/22 Update - Still have an unfinished kitchen...Cabinets that were measured incorrectly have been replaced with new ones so that I can open my dishwasher. (When they were installed previously, I was unable to open the dishwasher door because it banged up against another cabinet due to incorrect measuring). Am now awaiting a new countertop since that was measured incorrectly also. Who knows when that will occur...not like they're gonna keep me updated or anything. I mean, why would a project manager think to do a silly thing like that? Will update again in a month, when I'll surely still be dealing with the Project That Never Ends. read more
