Highest recommendations for Dr Zare, Megan and staff! Extremely happy with the results…read more I was diagnosed with a Hiatal Hernia and started interviewing surgeons from Stanford, Sutter/PAMF, UCSF, and a couple of private doctors as well as checked local media for recommendations. I had read up on what procedures are available / watched the YouTube videos as well as the Doctors webpage so I had some idea of what I was in for. There are set protocols for further analysis of hiatal hernias after the usual endoscopy, esophagram/barium swallow but didn't make sense for my situation and scheduling procedures would have required a few months to get in. Luckily, Dr Zare reviewed the tests and my symptoms and knew what was needed and did not require further tests and was able to schedule me shortly after my first visit. Megan and staff provided fast, competent support and very quickly I was in for my laparoscopic paraesophageal surgery. All the other surgeons were more interested in following the protocol with additional tests that would have not provided any additional benefit (based on published clinical studies). Perhaps if they had reviewed more thoroughly my test results, they may have not warranted the additional motility tests. The surgery went as expected and only a partial toupet was performed that was very much appreciated based on latest surgical result data from my research. It is a painful procedure as incisions are made in the abs etc but appropriate meds made it a lot easier then having a full incision vs robotic. Trust is very important for me, as surgeons have to be able to make decisions in-the-moment and based on my discussions with Dr Zare and Megan, I felt very comfortable that I had made the right choices. Thank you Dr Zare and appreciate your help! I am symptom free and sleeping without worrying about reflux entering my lungs and starting to get back to sports/eating and enjoying life again!

Unfortunately, this initial impression was deceiving. Being under Dr Dan's care ultimately caused significantly more harm than the illness I sought treatment for. While his supplements helped with my initial symptoms, he said that his thermography scans showed other issues that required further treatment. Over time, the daily regimen he prescribed grew until I was taking 17 supplements, several of them multiple times a day. As this progressed, I began experiencing new symptoms - extreme weight loss, sleeping only 1 or 2 hours a night, hair loss, and severe anxiety that left me waking up in a state of panic most days. When I raised concerns that the supplements might be contributing, he was dismissive to the point of defensiveness and attributed my symptoms to menopause and other conditions. Dr Dan also advised on many other aspects of my daily life - from acceptable water sources to food choices and personal hygiene products. That level of influence extended beyond my own health when he recommended that I give my dog ibuprofen for her hip pain. His website states that he worked with a vet, and he'd spoken about treating pets in the past, so I followed his advice. I was shocked to learn that ibuprofen is toxic to dogs. My poor pup became seriously ill, developed gastrointestinal bleeding, and required emergency veterinary care and months of follow-up treatment. This was a turning point for me, and I realized that I had placed my trust in the wrong provider. As I gradually discontinued the supplements, my health started to improve. I sought a second opinion from another integrative medical practice and was told that the supplements were unnecessary and that thermography scans are generally considered unreliable diagnostic tools. They also confirmed that the combination of two supplements I was taking at high doses likely overstimulated my nervous system and caused the weight loss, insomnia, and anxiety. Since stopping the supplements I've regained weight, my hair is growing back, my sleep has returned to normal, and the anxiety has finally subsided. It's difficult to come to terms with how much I deteriorated over 20 months under Dr Dan's care while my concerns were repeatedly dismissed. I do not recommend trusting this provider with your health and well-being.

Unlike my family doctor, who seemed overly alarmed about my gallstone, Dr. Kamler remained calm and objective. He didn't pressure me into having surgery or recommend unnecessary tests. He was very professional, and he even lifted my spirits about my large gallstone by putting the situation into perspective. What makes him stand out to me is that he's from Eastern Europe. I personally admire the quality of medical doctors from Eastern Europe and believe they have a great deal of knowledge and expertise in their respective fields. I also liked the front desk staff. Scheduling an appointment was easy, and everyone was friendly and professional. I recommend arriving a little early before your appointment because parking can take some time. Overall, if I ever need to have my gallbladder removed, I will definitely request Dr. Kamler.

I actually chose a couple of doctors before but ended up canceling both times. Finally, after more searching, I found Dr. Kristina Hobson in Los Gatos. To be honest, when I first walked into her office, I was already looking for an excuse to cancel again. But once I spoke with her, I was really impressed with her knowledge and the way she explained everything, so I decided to keep my appointment. Today was my procedure at Silicon Valley Surgery Center, and I had such a great experience. The facility was clean, calm, and very nice. Every single person I interacted with was wonderful. From the front desk to Barbara, who helped review my paperwork everyone was kind and welcoming. My first nurse, Kay, was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and professional. When she went on break, Nicole took over she was also amazing. I'm not a fan of needles at all, but she did my IV so gently and with so much care. Then Kat, the third nurse, took me to the procedure room she was kind, calm, and very professional. Dr. Michael Block, the anesthesiologist, was excellent. He actually texted me the night before to ask if I wanted to review everything ahead of time or on the day of the procedure, which I really appreciated. We exchanged a few messages, and then he spoke with me again before the procedure and explained everything clearly. He was confident, knowledgeable, and very reassuring. In the procedure room, I fell asleep within seconds and woke up quickly afterward feeling great. Within about 30 minutes, I felt completely fine. I was even able to take calls and respond to emails. And now, about Dr. Hobson ,she is truly a 10 out of 10. Honestly, the entire experience was 10 out of 10. From the office to the surgery center, every single nurse and staff member was exceptional. I'm a very detail-oriented and perfectionist person because of my job, so I don't say this lightly. Something I was so scared of and postponed for 5 years turned into such a smooth and positive experience. Thank you to everyone
