He demonstrates his expertise in a holistic way: diet, exercise, relationships, medications, surgeries, etc. I think he's brilliant and very human. In addition I am profoundly grateful that he communicates with the whole care team for the patient. For example, if you need cardio care, he coordinates the data and consults with the other physicians and gives you as much time as you need to understand your options and your diagnoses. This is critical when you're at a juncture between several experts and doctors. He's a real mensch.

Most visits I've had with him would average around 10-15 min and that was including the hanging time I had to be in while the nurses were going through my blood, height,weight and temp. Check. He would really rush his procedures of checking my pupils, ears, throat and other common check ups and as soon as I addressed the main issue and reason for a checkup, he'd instantly suggest a prescription for pain killers mainly. He wouldn't even consider alternatives or even referrals to any other specialists. Just good old Ibruprofen would do the trick apparently. I've been with this doctor for 3 years and haven't had any issues with the receptionists, until this year where there was an issue about not showing up to my appointment and charging me a fee for a "no show" and in this particular situation, I had actually showed up to my appt. only to be told the Doctor cancelled all check ups for that day and only for me to be told that the doctor was actually checking patients, so I wasn't sure what was going on but then I was referred to someone else I could talk to about the issue but 3 days has passed and no response. This office clearly lacks the communication with patients, leave you on hold for too long during calls and the doctor just lacks self awareness of patients and won't put in the effort to assist you as you, the patient, would expect. I don't recommend this doctor and would suggest to find an alternative. Planning on switching myself ASAP.

I didn't sit too long before a nurse or assistant called me back and asked questions about how I've been feeling. They looked through my chart and double checked some things which I found reassuring. When the doctor joined, they had already read through the notes and started by asking what had changed since the last visit. They were calm and straightforward, asked a few extra questions and examined me with care. They explained their thoughts without making it too complicated, and also asked if I was doing ok with the current plan. I liked that they didn't try to push too many things at once. They mentioned what I could monitor going forward and asked how I felt about what we discussed. Before I left, I was given some written info and told what signs to watch out for. Felt like a well handled visit and I had no major issues.

When I showed up the door was locked and they were have some sort of meeting. Unfortunately for me I showed up 45 minutes early. So by the time they sort through the 15 people standing out front and hand me the paperwork I was supposed to arrive early to fill out, it been an hour. I fill out the paperwork and hand to the lady. At this point I'm pissed but keeping my cool. I basically got told it was going to be another hour... which would make me late for another appointment. This happens every time at this place. I actually like the doctors they're really nice people. I just don't understand why I have to lecture my doctor about being on time. I can't help but feeling like they have no respect for their patients time.

Him and his colleague Dr McDaniel are the best of the best and anyone who have them as their provider are lucky! Martha the medical assistant is great as well. The only negative is the call center that you have to call into and leave a message for the Dr. Sometimes you get a call back and sometimes you don't. Also they are no longer providing services at Watsonville Community Hospital. But all in all they are worth a short drive if we need to go to a hospital.
