He has a pleasant demeanor but not very informative or helpful for any advice of what I should do in the meantime. I explained I'd have an allergic reaction and I've had a rash all over me along with all the stomach issues and they told me I need to eat more nutrients i've been keeping a food diary along with taking many herbal supplements, and multi vitamins, but he didn't want to even take the time to look. I'm told I need surgery I've been waiting for authorization. The biggest problem is the receptionist Marilyn. She comes across very polite and sweet on the phone, but can't seem to do her job which is really more important to me than pretending to be nice. It's making me lose confidence in the DR. When he has such incompetent staff working for him. Not only can I not get the staff( Marilyn)to call me back when they say they will multiple times. They also screwed up sending a message to Dr Johnson to get ok on my blood work I already had done a week or so ago in ER. My cat scan was supposed to be STAT! 2wks later... While waiting on tests I was given a new medication to control stomach acid an had a allergic reaction to the Dexilant sample the M.A. gave me. I had to go to my doctors office because my throat was so swollen my primary doctors office did my authorization to get me into the hospital for an ultrasound STAT and within less than two hours it was being done in radiology. It was determined to be a allergic reaction it was so severe my Dr and mom thought it was my thyroid. I left a message with Marilyn for the doctor to call me back Per request of the primary doctor I saw. I never got a callback. My general surgery authorizations for referral has now taken 2 1/2 weeks. I only met Dr. Johnson once when he did my endoscopy he seem like a great guy very nice and confident in what he's doing he's also has a ton of medical experience, and Graduated from a well respected medical school. So I called his cell and his office today to speak with the office manager to let her know what's going on at the freedom office and was informed that Dr. Johnson isn't even the one that's going to be doing my surgery! Which I was under the impression of thought that was to my concert was with and never told I was getting another surgeon which you would think the PA or the receptionist would've told me I have no idea who is supposed to be doing my surgery now. Just that it's a general surgeon! Waiting for the Salinas office manager to call me back she seems to know what she's doing. Then after all this away and maybe looking for a new surgeon. I think Dr. Johnson is a really good doctor but trying to get to him as a whole different story and I don't know if it's worth it I refuse to go back to the freedom office ever I hope this helps somebody out there so they don't have to go through the bullshit I have happy healing is everyone best of luck! If anyone reads this that knows of a great gastroenterologist surgeon please let me know

Unfortunately, this initial impression was deceiving. Being under Dr Dan's care ultimately caused significantly more harm than the illness I sought treatment for. While his supplements helped with my initial symptoms, he said that his thermography scans showed other issues that required further treatment. Over time, the daily regimen he prescribed grew until I was taking 17 supplements, several of them multiple times a day. As this progressed, I began experiencing new symptoms - extreme weight loss, sleeping only 1 or 2 hours a night, hair loss, and severe anxiety that left me waking up in a state of panic most days. When I raised concerns that the supplements might be contributing, he was dismissive to the point of defensiveness and attributed my symptoms to menopause and other conditions. Dr Dan also advised on many other aspects of my daily life - from acceptable water sources to food choices and personal hygiene products. That level of influence extended beyond my own health when he recommended that I give my dog ibuprofen for her hip pain. His website states that he worked with a vet, and he'd spoken about treating pets in the past, so I followed his advice. I was shocked to learn that ibuprofen is toxic to dogs. My poor pup became seriously ill, developed gastrointestinal bleeding, and required emergency veterinary care and months of follow-up treatment. This was a turning point for me, and I realized that I had placed my trust in the wrong provider. As I gradually discontinued the supplements, my health started to improve. I sought a second opinion from another integrative medical practice and was told that the supplements were unnecessary and that thermography scans are generally considered unreliable diagnostic tools. They also confirmed that the combination of two supplements I was taking at high doses likely overstimulated my nervous system and caused the weight loss, insomnia, and anxiety. Since stopping the supplements I've regained weight, my hair is growing back, my sleep has returned to normal, and the anxiety has finally subsided. It's difficult to come to terms with how much I deteriorated over 20 months under Dr Dan's care while my concerns were repeatedly dismissed. I do not recommend trusting this provider with your health and well-being.

I actually chose a couple of doctors before but ended up canceling both times. Finally, after more searching, I found Dr. Kristina Hobson in Los Gatos. To be honest, when I first walked into her office, I was already looking for an excuse to cancel again. But once I spoke with her, I was really impressed with her knowledge and the way she explained everything, so I decided to keep my appointment. Today was my procedure at Silicon Valley Surgery Center, and I had such a great experience. The facility was clean, calm, and very nice. Every single person I interacted with was wonderful. From the front desk to Barbara, who helped review my paperwork everyone was kind and welcoming. My first nurse, Kay, was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and professional. When she went on break, Nicole took over she was also amazing. I'm not a fan of needles at all, but she did my IV so gently and with so much care. Then Kat, the third nurse, took me to the procedure room she was kind, calm, and very professional. Dr. Michael Block, the anesthesiologist, was excellent. He actually texted me the night before to ask if I wanted to review everything ahead of time or on the day of the procedure, which I really appreciated. We exchanged a few messages, and then he spoke with me again before the procedure and explained everything clearly. He was confident, knowledgeable, and very reassuring. In the procedure room, I fell asleep within seconds and woke up quickly afterward feeling great. Within about 30 minutes, I felt completely fine. I was even able to take calls and respond to emails. And now, about Dr. Hobson ,she is truly a 10 out of 10. Honestly, the entire experience was 10 out of 10. From the office to the surgery center, every single nurse and staff member was exceptional. I'm a very detail-oriented and perfectionist person because of my job, so I don't say this lightly. Something I was so scared of and postponed for 5 years turned into such a smooth and positive experience. Thank you to everyone

I think the ladies hate their job and definitely should not be working with the public. They are cold, rude and annoyed. I can't imagine someone going through much worse than my health problems having to deal with this lack of compassion, patience and empathy.
