For months I researched what would be the right fit for me. There were a couple I came close to, but I just couldn't get the Cadillac XT4 out of my head. The beauty, the luxury, she was my dream car. Cadillac GMC you built a beautiful car. You built my I'm a bad ass, nothing can stop me. yay me car. After looking at hundreds of cars, I found my dream car. Cadillac XT4 Premium Luxury all the bells and whistles dream car Crestview Cadillac 4 hours away but for my dream car well worth the trip. The whole week before I had butterflies. SO EXCITED. The Friday before we went to get it. I got a message from the person covering for the salesperson I had been working with. He was trying to get us to be there even earlier. I explained the 4 hours and traffic and let him know we would leave at 8 am. I got a weird feeling, but I chalked it up to nerves this was a big purchase. We got there; the car was beautiful!!! Although a number of things went wrong. (They knew 4 days prior that I was coming to get the car because I had done the majority of the paperwork.) The correct people were not at the dealership, so paperwork had to be sent home with me. They didn't have a temporary plate for the car ready, so we sat while the guy that did them was called in. I got home. Go to get the paperwork done and they didn't send me with all the documents. I let them know this on a Thursday. They tell me they are going to overnight the documents. They don't show up Friday, the paperwork doesn't show up Saturday. I asked to speak to someone in charge on Monday. Monday the paperwork in finally overnighted. Tuesday April 12th, I get the paper done and sent back. That Wednesday I receive the temporary plate that expire 5/5/2022. On April 12th I verify that everything is taken care of over the phone. One April 20th I verify everything is taken care of via text message. I was told year both times. May 5th come's and I have not heard anything. I send the sales guy a message inquiring about the status. I hear nothing back but yesterday on May 6th at 4:30 pm I get paperwork that was overnighted. With only a note that says the titling company needs 2 new notarized POA's. I've enclosed a return Fedex prepaid. I tried to call the dealership. I asked for the Manager that I had spoken with before. Told that he is there helping another customer. I asked that I please get a call back. Explained the situation and heard nothing. I now have an expensive Cadillac XT4 just sitting there, that I can't drive. I can't get an explanation on why more paperwork needs filled out. So my bad ass, nothing can stop me. yay me car will be sitting. Horrible customer service, horrible communication. My heart is broken. I worked hard for this.

Rick and his team diagnosed the issue and quoted a decent price for the repair. The initial repair was completed and delivered when promised but some ongoing issues with the sensors, gas tank mounts, leaks, and other problems resulted in a few return visits. So, why is this a 4 star review? Well, three reasons: Rick, Tom, and the owner. Rick wanted it done and done right. His honest attitude and professionalism were top notch. Tom, another upstanding employee, was absolutely delightful to work with and proved to be someone we could really trust. I sincerely thank Rick, Tom, and team for their efforts and the owner for being so fair and reasonable even when things didn't go perfectly.

Those of you who know me from my work there, or who follow me on my social media platforms, know that I am a very chill, laid-back, easy-going, fun-loving, kind of guy. For those of you who don't know or follow me, I'm a very chill, laid-back, easy-going, fun-loving kind of guy - until I'm not. And after dealing with Dave, at Great Lakes Auto Superstore, I am anything but chill! I am disturbed and deeply disappointed to the point where I feel I need to share my experience with all of you in the hopes that you can avoid the pitfalls of this place. And this really isn't even about me. It's about the experience my wife and I had trying to buy a car for our son. We made this mistake of trusting, Dave, and taking him at his word. That's when we found he is the embodiment of that prototypical, shady, deceitful, "used car salesman" on that lot we all dread coming across. I'll save you the blow by blow details of the 2 month period of back and forth we had trying to the right the wrongs this man's deceitfulness took us through and simply tell you what I told him in our last phone conversation: "I do not trust," him. He, "flat out lied to our faces several times on several issues relating to the purchase and service of the vehicle" we bought from him. In trying to find a replacement vehicle for the defective merchandise he sold us, "we took SEVERAL OTHER CARS to our mechanic to be look over, and every single one of them had SIGNIFICANT, AND COSTLY issues that he easily spotted." I took us 2 months to find a car that was actually worth exchanging for the original piece of junk we were sold. I told him, and I'm tell you, Dave "does not sell quality products at Great Lakes Auto Superstore, and it is a crying shame that you can spend $10 - $15,000 or more on a car off that lot, and the first thing you have to do once you leave the lot, is drive straight to your mechanic to get it fixed!" I've been doing business in this community for the past 20 years, and this is the single worst dealing / experience I've come across in all that time. In fact, this is the first review of this kind I've ever written... I'm a pretty chill guy. But if you're looking for a used car, or know anyone who is, feel free to shop wherever you like, but if you're dealing with Dave, or Great Lakes Auto Superstore, consider this a public service announcement from your friendly neighborhood sportscaster... "BUYER BEWARE!" Sincerely, Trevor Thompson

PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND YOUR SANITY, DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!!!…read more I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW BECAUSE, AT THIS POINT, I HAVE NO OTHER OPTION BUT TO LET YOU ALL KNOW WHAT KIND OF TRASH THESE PEOPLE ARE. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND FRAUDULENT AND WILL DENY THAT THEY HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH ANY ISSUES THAT ARISE AFTER YOU DRIVE OFF THEIR LOT!! I have paid Dave and his wife, Dawn, over $8,000 for this junkyard job. All of the parts on my car were supposed to be replaced with NEW parts and the car was supposed to be in the same condition it was in before the accident that took place on September 22, 2021. Not only did I not get my car back until November, after having to pay $1800 for a rental because they took so long to complete the job, I ended up back at the shop because the work was not completed. The FIRST time I dropped it off, there was tar on the front passenger side door that was obviously a mistake that hadn't been cleaned up. When I mentioned this to Dave he said that he didn't know how the tar got there and that the front passenger door was not touched. He agreed to remove the tar and I was grateful. Additionally, there had been yellow glue on the roof of the car near the back glass as well as on the decals. When I pointed this out, he told me it was tree sap and that I must have parked under a tree but that he would remove it -- as if he was doing me a favor. I hadn't driven anywhere but home and there are no trees over my driveway and, SURPRISE, as you would imagine, there are NO TREES IN MY GARAGE, so it beats me. The back glass was originally placed improperly and I was informed it would be reset. Additionally, there was white residue all over the inside of my car that you could see from outside of the back glass by the break light. He tried to remove it, however, the job was not clean. The speakers rattled regularly while I had the car the first time around and when I brought it up to him he once again said his favorite words, "I didn't touch the [speakers]." Lastly (for this first experience), I HAVE THE WRONG BUMPER ON MY CAR!!!!! SECOND TIME AROUND!!! The seal on the back glass is not attached -- it is a one finger removal all the way across the bottom. The seal is buckled and coming out all around the glass as you can see in the photos, which lucky for me, means it rains into my car. As you can see on the right side (where the trunk lid meets the trunk), there is a bondo job AND a halfway bondo job that has been painted over. I imagine that because of the way this was "fixed" there is and has been a loud squealing sound inside go the car coming from that area of the car. You can see more bondo paint just beside rear light -- unlike the other side where there are clean seems with actual rivets (the side that was not touched and seems to be in its original condition). THE PAINT on the passenger side of the car is THREE DIFFERENT shades of white. The bumper on the right side is not affixed -- it is sunken in in various areas and popped out in others. On the left side, the bumper sinks in on one side and pops out on another. So, either the bumper is not the correct bumper, or the panel is not the correct panel. THE TRUNK LID: The entire right and left side been shaved off, sanded down, bondoed and then repainted. The edges are not smooth and there is are uneven gaps on each side once the lid is closed. The right side on the trunk lid dips and the left side is raised. There are paint smears and runs ALL over the trunk lid. You can see in one area a spot where they sanded it and didn't paint it -- you are looking at primed metal underneath -- they did a "buff and polish" or "refinish" and obviously missed a spot. I want to NOTE here that the stated to me that he "DID NOT touch the truck lid" and that it was not part of the claim. 1. Why lie and say you did not touch it when it's clearly been damaged? 2. Why did you touch it if it wasn't in the claim? These are not questions for the "dealership/bodyshop"! GAS CAP: When I picked up the car the first time around, I asked him why there was no fuel tank holder -- I hadn't noticed it had been painted white. Instead of replacing it with a new black one (because that is the color they come in), he said my model car does not come with a fuel tank holder. As it turns out, it has been confined that he painted it white. Additionally, you can see that the gas cap is been HOT GLUED to the gas locker hatch! HOT GLUED! DECALS: The letters aren't even remotely straight and the is glue EVERYWHERE between the letters. See photo. THIS IS ALL JUST THE SUPERFICIAL STUFF, I HAVE NO IDEA BEYOND THE WHEEL THAT STILL HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED (which I was notified of in DECEMBER!!) THE OTHER DAMAGES ARE BENEATH THE SURFACE. As mentioned above: I have been driving on a bad wheel that was supposed to be replaced months ago. It is now February 25, 2022, and I still have not been able to get Dave and Dawn to fix any of the issues.

When I got my car back, it was shaking much worse than before. At anything over 50 mph, the car was practically undrivable. What makes this even more frustrating is that the technician's own paperwork acknowledged there was still an issue. The printout noted they could still feel a shake, and my service advisor, Tyler, told me the same. The paperwork even stated that if the shaking continued, the suspension and steering might need to be checked. Instead of discussing these findings or working toward a resolution, I was sent home with a car that drove significantly worse than when I brought it in. I took my car to Discount Tire for a second opinion. They told me all four tires were out of balance and said they were surprised I was even able to drive the car to their shop. After they properly rebalanced the tires, my car drove exactly like it did before Moran serviced it. After spending $129.99 on a road force balance that made my vehicle worse, I contacted Moran Chevrolet and spoke with Laura Marklin, the Service Manager. I provided documentation from Discount Tire along with videos showing how badly the steering wheel was shaking. Rather than discussing a reasonable resolution, Laura insisted their computer showed everything was balanced correctly and that nothing was wrong with their work, essentially suggesting Discount Tire was wrong. However, once Discount rebalanced the tires, my car immediately drove normally again. The only solution Moran offered was to refund the balancing charge and put towards brakes. if I returned to have my brakes serviced there. That was completely unacceptable. If they couldn't properly balance my tires, why would I trust them to perform brake work? To make matters worse, there were pen marks all over my windshield visor tint that I had to clean off myself. Then, when an employee brought my car around, he attempted to drive it through the automatic car wash until another employee stopped him, explaining that Camaros and Corvettes should not go through it. From start to finish, this was an awful experience. The workmanship was poor, the customer service was even worse, and at no point did I feel like anyone genuinely cared about making the situation right. My car was originally purchased from this dealership in 2010, and I expected them to stand behind their work. Instead, I had to pay another shop to correct their mistake and was offered no meaningful resolution. Their website says, "If anything about your visit wasn't perfect, please reach out to me so I can make it right." Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I will not be returning for service or purchasing another vehicle from Moran Chevrolet. I'd rather support a local independent shop that takes pride in its work, treats customers with respect, and stands behind the services it provides.
