So if your rent is say 1,000 or more... add another 200-300 dollars in monthly fees( gate fees, garbage pickup fees, incidentals, etc) on top of that, and that is your monthly rent.( My apartment was supposed to be 1022.00 a month. I was paying like1270.00 and that's not including heat in the wintertime). The hallways reeks of marijuana, carpets are stained, etc. Also the apartments are totally outdated, countertops are painted over with regular latex paint. I was never late on my rent, yet when I had a problem with the another tenant that was trying to ruin my stay there, nothing was ever done about it, even after numerous complaints. They actually told me that they do not handle neighbor complaints. Like it was said in another post on here, their only concern is the rent money every month. Steer Clear

Our AC broke in the dead of summer and it took them 3 days just to come to the unit and tell us they are going to order a new ac then another 3 days to install it. They don't have enough maintenance people to take care of all the problems here because they are cheap and don't want to pay! Their excuse is " we have over 20 AC complaints" that's because they have old ass air conditioners,hello!!!! Don't move here if you're not accustomed to 85 degree indoor temps. We had a mouse and the maintenance people just stuck some steel wool in the hole in the wall- no patch no nothing, that took about 3 weeks to be addressed as well. Amenities- truly bogus. It's June 15 they haven't opened any of their multiple pools and have no idea when they will be open. That's a trend around here staff having no idea about anything. Their parks for dogs and kids are old and out dated and usually full of mud. Their gym is literally a joke with like 3 machines. Laundry is decent. The "nature trail" is some gravel walkways by some electric poles... Security- The absolute most pointless security measures. They have a "guard" after 8:30-9:00, they don't check anything when you're trying to get in and most the time no one is there to check. They close gates to different entrances at night which is more of a nuisance since there's actually no checking going on at the security post. Their security measures are obviously failing since there was just 2 SHOOTINGS HERE LAST MONTH may 2017. Overall this place is shit. Look elsewhere.

You can hear everything through the walls as they are paper thin, even a cough from your neighbor sounds like they're standing in your living room. The management office is unbelievably rude, especially the AA woman. My dishwasher flooded and the water was up to my ankles, trying to get maintenance out to your apartment is a joke. If you complain to management they start doing spiteful things such as sending packages away, even going as far as writing up false noise complaints. The reason I know they're false is because the complaints didn't start until 3 years after I lived there and my neighbors assured me that they never complained or heard any noise (outside of standard living) coming from my apartment. There isn't many up to date rental properties in highland but I promise this place is NOT worth it.

While my stuff was still in there they sent people in my apartment to change a screen and to see what was left. It should have been no entry, because I was still paid up until the end of the month. I was looking for my security deposit to help me through because I was off work with my sick mom. They sent me $100 out of my security of $1000. If you decide to move there don't expect your security back. They charged $20 to clean a mirror that was clean. $75 to clean this refrigerator, $50 to wipe the counters etc
