Complete RIP-OFF!! First I call to see if there is a unit available. They tell me there is one available on 10/31. I asked if I could see it in person. They told me I couldn't see an open unit because there wasn't one available. ok fine...But if their Extended Stay is a similar set up, then why not show me that in person? Hmm.. odd but whatever. I say ok, I'd like to apply for that. Just to double check, your website says $965 for the one bedroom is that correct?. They said "Actually no, it's 985"...ok do you want to explain? I think to myself as I'm waiting for the breakdown. "that includes the water bill". I said fine. They told me to go on their website to apply for the unit. I get to the website, pay for the $50 application fee and wait for a response. They TEXT me back and said my application was approved with "deposit conditions"... I call them and it said the security deposit is $1500....NOW... Their website says the security deposit would be $500...It would make sense if the website said something along the lines of, "if applicable" or "price may vary depending on credit". Because in this case, i'll admit...my credit score isn't the best but i'm working on it. Just like everyone else.. And it gets even BETTER!!
I talked to SEVERAL women there. One particularly I remember by the name of Tina. All had a DIFFERENT story for me as far as the "conditions" go... The first woman I spoke with said that I can pay half of the $1500 now, and make payments on the rest included with my rent of $985. I was upset by this in the first place so I said, I have to think about this and I will call you back. I call them back and another woman answers. I asked again about that and she said "we don't do that anymore". I said well that's interesting, because the other told me I could...."PLEASE HOLD" she said angrily ....bout 3 minutes go by... "yea no we can't do that. I can ask the manager". Reluctantly, I agreed. Manager calls me back and says the same thing. I'm sorry, but that is steep...I NEVER had to pay that much in a security deposit. I thought about it for a day or so and called them back and spoke with Tina this time. I said, alright, how does this work then? Because at this point, I really wanted the apartment....She says ok, did they tell you about the $375 too?.....umm....WHAT?!......for WHAT?? "oh no they didn't tell you? the $375 is for lease processing...." excuse my French but wtf is lease processing??! Are you serious?? You want my bank account and a limb from me? I'm just renting! This isn't a down payment on a house!
They left me a message yesterday and told me it was going to go "back on the market" if they don't hear from me....
Well prairie square...After all that, I really hope you do hear from me with this review... Hope it all goes well for you with ripping people off. I can't imagine the year of hell you would have put me through because I can only imagine random fees popping out of nowhere. I was wondering if i would even get my security deposit back at that point. If i don't trust you now, I defiantly wont when I'm renting from you. If anything I should thank you for the bullet that I dodged. Thanks. read more
