One of the Worst Customer Service Experiences I've Ever Had I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Hyundai and this dealership was so frustrating that I feel other customers deserve to know what to expect. My vehicle remained at the dealership for an extended period while I repeatedly tried to get updates. Calling the dealership was an exercise in frustration--I was transferred from one person to another, left numerous voicemails, and rarely received a return call. It often felt impossible to speak with someone who could provide a clear answer. When I couldn't get any help, I wrote letters to Hyundai corporate, including the CEO, as well as dealership management. I hoped someone would at least acknowledge my concerns or explain what was happening. Unfortunately, I never received a response. Eventually, I got my vehicle back, but the overall experience left me feeling ignored and disappointed. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer care was unacceptable. Mechanical issues can happen with any manufacturer. What separates a great company from the rest is how it treats its customers when problems arise. Unfortunately, Hyundai and this dealership failed that test in my experience. If you're considering buying or servicing a vehicle here, I encourage you to pay close attention to the quality of customer service, not just the vehicle itself. Bought a new car here. I had to use temporary plates for 10 weeks. I had to file a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General to get them to send my paperwork so I could get license plates. I made over 10 calls to them and nobody at the dealership would help me until I threatened them with Legal action. The issue was my car originated at another dealership and that dealership had the paperwork. Luckily, the sales sticker listed the dealership that the car was originally shipped to. I had to personally call the dealership that the car came from to get them to send the paperwork since Crestmont wouldn't help me. After sending a certified letter to the GM he called the next day. Told me he would follow up with me and never called back. That is not even the worst part. Pushy finance guy told my wife that adding a warranty would be an extra $5 per month on the payment. So she agreed. Turns out the warranty is $2500. $5 a month on a 60 month loan is $300. Now they are refusing to refund my money even though I cancelled the next day. read more

Service dept communication to the customer is terrible. Service chat 'bot' is useless. Service communication to Hyundai's own corporate service is slow. Customer inquiries to the service department via phone attempts are nonexistent or slow. My 2024 Elantra has 1,600 miles and has engine issues. It's taking over a month (so far), and the vehicle is still in service. I would expect at least weekly status communication from a service rep. I have to go to the facility to get face-to-face updates because no one returns my inquiries. Free loaner car has to be asked for and not offered. Loaner cars may not be available for a period of time. I would not purchase a vehicle from this dealership and especially not go to their service dept. I will not promote and caution any dealings with them. I will probably never purchase a Hyundai ever again. read more

There's a reason this service department has one star. What could improve? I can buy a car anywhere. It is THE SERVICE that separates the cream from the crop. My guess it is also where your profit margins are the highest. Communicate, be honest, fair and make the consumer your first priority, AFTER they buy a car, return business and word of mouth is the best form of advertising. read more

I am so disappointed in the service I have received from Brunswick Hyundai since buying my used 2019 Sante Fe in 2022. Within the first year I had to take it in for service for severe water leakage inside the front seat floor. They claimed it was condensation from the air conditioner. Since then, I have tried to have it serviced for the check engine light being on. They scheduled me out over a month from when I call for the light being on. By the time my appointment comes up, the check engine light goes off and they cannot check it. The last two times that I have had my car serviced, the check engine light comes back on the same day I picked up my car. I call and am told to bring my car back in. The one time I was charged $800.00 for the diagnostic check, and then another $2000.00 for repairs. They said some was covered under warranty for which I had to pay $50.00 for. I am now so completely disgusted, frustrated & starting to completely hate my car, because now it is going to cost me another $1055.00 in repairs. 2 weeks after paying $3000.00. I feel like they pushed this used Sante Fe on me at the time of purchase knowing it had problems. I basically paid over $36,000.00 for a lemon. They are not very helpful with solutions. The one time they had my vehicle for service, the first week it sat untouched in their parking lot. I used to really love Hyundai, my first one 2007 was great, I never had any issues with it. I had a recent deal when I was closing on a lease purchase at this dealership . Manager and sales person both agreed to match a competitor price but when it was in final stages , general manager nixed the deal and increased the price over 10%. If I could leave less than one star, I would. We had major problems with our Hyundai Tucson, and had it towed to Cresmont. Tried getting in touch with the service department but they would never respond to our calls. The last call of the day was answered and some man said sorry you need an appointment with us and we can't look at your car until the third week in March almost 5 weeks away, we ended up having the car towed to another Hyundai dealer Marhofer Hyundai in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio. They were positively amazing figured out our problem and we had our car the same day. I did send an email to Hyundai corporate in California They were also amazing responded immediately and took our concern seriously . You couldn't give me a car if I had to go back to Crestmont Hyundai they are absolutely horrible. read more

Memorial Day weekend ruined... 10:11 am, phone call with salesman, confirmed vehicle availability and scheduled test drive between 1 and 2 pm 10:18 am, text message from salesman confirming the appt 11:20 am, rented vehicle and drove 2.5 hours to Brunswick 1:40 pm, arrived at dealership 1:45 pm, met with General Manager, he stated he gave the car to his Service Manager to use with his family over the holiday weekend; he stated he would go retrieve the vehicle but his service manager lived approximately 45 minutes away; I told him I was going to get something to eat but he could call me when the vehicle was available I guess this is a great place to work, as they appear to be in the "Free Loaner Car to Every Employee" business, as opposed to the we like to sell cars to our customers business, especially customers with big cash down payments and pre-approved financing, who know exactly what they want, are willing to drive 2.5 hours to find it, and are ready to ink a deal that day read more
