There always seemed to be more than enough teachers present, far beyond the typical "ratio" of 12 or 15 kids to one teacher that you see at other schools. Knowing that the staff aren't stretched too thin gave me so much peace of mind. Every teacher who has ever greeted me has done so with a genuinely lovely smile. If you're looking for a prek for your little one instead of a daycare ... this is the place. They have a structured school day/meal times/nap times. His teacher has been working with him with potty training which is amazing. They even offer before and after care which was very important for me with my work schedule. Although it's small there is a little outdoor play area they go to when the weather is nice. My son always is excited when he gets to go out and play there. It's nice that they communicate with parents often. We get a calendar every month of what the kids will be learning and any important dates to remember. I love getting the weekly picture updates. There are lots of fun activities for the kids during the school day also. I like that they have enrichment programs once a week (with an outside company that comes in) you can pay extra for (my son has already done gymnastics and soccer skills). Another plus is that there is summer camp which runs similar hours and you can choose which weeks to send them (1-8 weeks). The teacher and director are always available to answer questions and get back to me quickly when I send a message or email. All of the teachers and aides are so sweet and caring towards my son and the other kids. My son never cries that he has to go to school and always tells me he had a good day and loves school. Overall, I am very happy and rely on CAP to take care of my daughters. CAP has certainly become an extension of our family. For my older daughter, she attended CAP from 11-months old until 4 years old (50-60 hours/week, 2015-2020). In 2021, my daughter entered Kindergarten upon a "pandemic gap year" of staying at home, however, she transitioned quite easily into the larger, more structured school environment. Now in 2022, she is graduating Kindergarten with the strong ability to socialize well (loves going to school and learning with schoolmates), as well as achieving basic reading and math! Much of her success is attributed to the nurturing, social and learning environment from her early years at CAP. For my younger daughter, she attended CAP from 4-months old until 2 years old (50-60 hours/week, 2018-2020) and is planning to return to CAP soon. Unfortunately due to the pandemic and personal reasons, we had to suspend her attendance, however, she still has many fond memories of her school days at CAP. She tells me every day that she can hardly wait to return, be with her loving teachers and make new little friends. Every time we drive by the school, she still excitedly shouts, "OH THAT'S MY SCHOOL (CAP)!!!" It's been over 2 pandemic gap years!!! I truly appreciate their dedication. I also want to recognize Sajida, who was always welcoming and kind. Unfortunately, that level of care did not feel consistent throughout the school. In my experience, the center director Ms Set was difficult to communicate with. There were times when I felt my concerns were not taken seriously, which left me feeling unheard. My daughter also shared that she sometimes felt certain staff members were overly harsh with her. I was also concerned by incidents involving children pushing or shoving one another, and I did not always feel those situations were addressed as thoroughly as I expected. The classrooms themselves were cared for by the teachers, who I often saw wiping tables and mopping floors. However, the overall building did not appear to be maintained to the same standard. During my visits, I noticed dust buildup around the air vents and felt the facility could benefit from more thorough routine cleaning and maintenance. Given how easily illnesses spread among young children, this was disappointing. Another concern was the frequent staff turnover. It seemed like there were constantly new faces, making it difficult to feel there was consistency in my child's care. At times, some classrooms also appeared to be led by very young staff members, which made me question the level of experience available. Finally, I attended the recent graduation ceremony and personally felt the Hollywood theme was NOT the best choice for an early childhood celebration. A bit inappropriate if you ask me. Overall, this center was not the right fit for our family. For the tuition being charged, I believe there are cleaner, more modern centers with stronger communication and greater consistency. I truly couldn't have picked a better place to settle in my career. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful (you have to see it to believe it) and TLE's curriculum is hands down the most comprehensive educational program I've had the ability to work with. The curriculum and research development team ensures that each child is able to grow and develop independently while becoming caring members of society. It is because of this team that teachers are afforded the ability to focus their energy on being loving and nurturing caregivers while they execute the TLE curriculum created by corporate. If you have a child who doesn't move or speak, maybe this place is fine, but for my active son, paying over $1800 a month feels like throwing money away for a daycare that seems clueless about how to manage a child. After two consecutive days on 5/27--telling me I had half an hour to pick him up because he was climbing on furniture, which is typical kid behavior. I had to pull him out. My 18-month-old son faced discrimination from both the director and the regional director because of his special needs--he has a speech delay and is already receiving early intervention. When I took my first tour on 1/23, I explained all of my son's needs in great detail, and Victoria assured me that there would be no problem, that it was normal for his age. On the second tour on 3/11 with Rosie, I reiterated my son's needs, and once again, they said it was normal. Even uploaded and provided my son early intervention evaluation But when he started on 4/1, I received constant complaints. I was called on 4/3, 4/7, and 4/14 about minor incidents like biting another child, without anyone witnessing what actually happened. On 4/16, they reported he was running around and tried to bite a teacher's finger, and on 4/23, he hurt himself by slipping. Then on 5/5, he bit another child again without anyone clarifying the situation. That same day, they told me he put his hand in the toilet. This center has cornered me into providing documentation from doctors who have no clue what they're being asked for, since it's inappropriate for his age. They don't work with parents to help teach the kids; it's incredibly frustrating. Also when stuff happens to my son no report was given nor anyone knew what happened. Requested report from manager and still nothing.
