And they took our insurance (Aetna) and were super nice. They even walked us through getting there on the phone because driving in is a bit wonky. Best possible experience given our scary situation.

My uncle recently suffered a stroke and now has significant mobility and communication challenges…read more We visited Abba Eyecare to update his eyeglass prescription, and the level of compassion and customer service we received was truly exceptional. Rather than requiring him to come inside, the staff brought a selection of eyeglass frames out to our car, helped him choose a pair, and even measured and fitted him for his glasses while he remained comfortably seated in the vehicle. Because he is currently hospitalized in Gunnison and we will no longer be in town when the glasses are ready, they also offered to personally deliver them to the hospital. In a world where genuine customer service seems increasingly rare, the staff at Abba Eyecare went far beyond what anyone would expect. Their kindness, flexibility, and willingness to help during an incredibly difficult time meant more to our family than words can express. This is what outstanding patient care looks like.

I walked in 10 minutes late to my appointment, that's my bad, but the policy is 10 minutes. The…read morewoman behind the desk left me waiting while she finished a phone call, and by the time she was finished it was too late for me to attend my appointment. She let me know of the situation extremely bluntly. I had been waiting months for this appointment. I was visibly disappointed and she said she would go check with the doctor, she got up and walked away shaking her head. So rude. When she came back she asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said no thank you, I was upset and needed to regulate before creating a new appointment. She proceeded to start offering me other dates and times and I reminded her that I had said no thank you and it felt like she wasn't respecting my words. The doctor that used to be here was amazing, idk about the new guy, but this honestly sucked and this woman was extremely rude. I wish we lived somewhere with more options so I didn't have to come back. ALSO- I made the 10 minute policy and waited 3 minutes while she finished her call and was too late because of her call... Beyond the frustration of this interaction and not being able to attend my appointment, the way this woman treated me was extremely unprofessional and she is clearly in need of further training.

A nice enough and attentive enough physician and I got the care I needed. I just didn't realize…read morethat in addition to a few specific and separate charges that I would be billed at a rate of close $600 per hour. I don't know if anyone else is more straightforward about this? If anyone gives any options? Seems like we shouldn't be placed in a situation where we are choosing between one office visit to get treated in sickness or putting food on the table the rest of the month or paying our mortgage in full or (ironically, paying our health insurance premium). I have learned from this that no matter how sick or how friendly the physician is, I need to get the financial disclosure in advance. Hopefully this doesn't lead to deferring treatment and ending up in the ER.

Unfortunately my Mom did fracture her wrist and elbow in the fall, but Dr. Beim was able to set the wrist nicely and give her a soft cast and pain med recommendations so she could be setup well as she waits to get surgery at home. There was no wait anytime along the way, and everyone was very kind to my poor Mom. Thanks guys!
