I've never bought anything from Crest Jewelers, but I recently asked for their help in "saving" a piece of jewelry. I bought a gold baby ID bracelet from another place (at super sale, so no returns), and the engraving they did was pretty terrible. I called around for a place that actually does engraving on-site, rather than outsources it, so that I could speak directly to the engraver. Crest Jewelers was the place.
The person I spoke to was very helpful and patient with my various questions about my options. He let me know that it'd be very difficult to wipe out the previous engraving since the bracelet was small and thin. But I decided to take the chance and asked him to try. A few days and $15 later, he did a fantastic job, and the bracelet looked good as new! He even stayed half an hour past closing hour at the store, so I could come pick it up after work.
