A while back, after my dad passed 3.5 years ago, my mom's engagement ring, the prongs were damaged, and she didn't wanna risk losing the stone, so she hasn't worn it in since. We've talked back and forth about getting it fixed but didn't know a jeweler to go to, to trust with the job of repairing it. The sentimental value, far exceeded its actual monetary value, so it just sat in a closet. I've wanted to help her get it fixed, and at 12pm on 7/29/26, on her actual birthday, on a whim, when she wasn't looking, I found it, and took it to a random jeweler I found via google, while I was in Lyndhurst. I read the reviews, for a different place and google mapped my way there. they had 5 ratings, and only 5 ratings in over 300+ reviews. I drove there, and when I arrived there was a different name on the building. Hesitant, bc I hadn't researched Austin's, I searched the new name, and found they too had excellent reviews, and what spoke to me was the compassion everyone spoke of in their reviews, so I crossed my fingers and walked in, incredibly leary to leave this ring there but Austin, the owner and jeweler, promised me he'd take good care of it and even tho he had a mountain of work to do, he also promised a turn around time, I didn't think would be possible, and that he'd attempt to get it done before dinner that night at 6pm. Well not only did Austin meet the timeline, and offered to drop it off at the restaurant if I needed, he absolutely knocked it out of the park, and exceeded expectations with the quality of the work. I saw it, and I cried. It took everything in me to hold it all together and not jump over the counter and hug him, as he stood there still covered in black dust from the repairs he literally just finished upon my arrival, and then to keep my composure, and drive to the restaurant, and give this now beautifully wrapped 50 year old engagement ring back to my mom. To say my mom was happy, and surprised was an understatement. I didn't take a photo of it because they generously offered and put it in a ring box and wrapped it up for me, and then gifted her with a ginormous tub of jewelry cleaner too, so she can make her band she has on, match and sparkle too. Austin, you and your wonderful team, Cecilia (a former Wood ridge resident like me, herself by chance), and Lilo, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for going above and beyond for me, and my mom. A Fun fact that I myself learned that day, my dad had proposed to my mom on her 21st birthday, 50 years ago yesterday (7/29/76). Well dad, I re proposed for you tonight and while you weren't physically there, I know that you were with me, because as I pulled away from the jewelers, a 2009 GMC Yukon Denali, just like my dads that we just sold Monday, let me pull out of the spot and go ahead of him. If you're looking for a jeweler, definitely go see Austin and his team. They carry some beautiful pieces, take great pride in their gems, and craft and most of all, they genuinely care about you as a customer and show compassion which can be VERY hard to find. Unfortunately, the outcome of my final tattoo was extremely disappointing. During the session, my skin was overworked significantly, which resulted in multiple scars. I have never gotten scars from any other tattoo. During the healing process I had an open wound in the center from my skin being dug into. There are also major inconsistencies in the black ink saturation throughout the piece, so much so that parts are fading out. The tattoo itself ending up not following the reference, as a lot of the lines are shaky, the center of the flower lacks definition, and the petals are not cohesive. I understand that tattoo artists can become exhausted, especially during long sessions, which is why I wish I was firmly told to come back another day. If an artist is too tired to give a piece their full attention and care, it would be far better to firmly reschedule for another day rather than continue working while fatigued. This experience genuinely impacted my confidence and how I feel about my body, which is really upsetting because my goal with tattoos is to feel more in tune with myself and style. Unfortunately, the outcome has led me to begin the tattoo removal process, which is both emotionally and financially stressful for me and is about to cost me a lot more than this tattoo.

Place is beyond sterile and not one piercing I chose has hurt for days like your typical piercing gun at "Claire's". It's reverse piercing where flat bottomed backing doesn't poke your skin as you sleep or hand hold your phone. You basically buy the tops to replace once inserted as opposed to traditional you remove backing and change your earring with this long post stabbing you in your head. He will even offer to change tops for you! Exceptional taste in beauty trends and will order whatever you might want from his suppliers that he may not have on hand at the moment. Follow them on IG! I almost cried (of joy) when I got my ring back…read more So let me start from the beginning. I reached out to various jewelers about wanting my old engagement ring (over 10 years old now) soldered. They were from the start honest and straight to the point. I finally was able to pop in and have them look at my ring to see if possible. They told me yes, left it with them, and to come back the following day. When I got my ring, which again I have had since my now husband proposed back in 2013, it looked fresh and new (the same way it did back then). The soldering looks amazing and the ring feels great. Called and asked if on-site work was done and if possible same day as well. Mike's answer was yes and to be sure to bring the finger along with the ring to ensure it was right sized this time. Lol Arrived to find Fazal most accommodating and also a warm welcome from Boone the dog! Lovely to deal with and excellent work done in little more than an hour. Highly recommend!
