We have had our kids in this school for the past 6 years and we couldn't be happier with their progress and the administration. The guides are kind and patient with the children and they encourage learning through exploration. Child care neglect for my toddler. My child ate wax and the teacher never informed me. When I came to know this and questioned there teacher said its non toxic. There was no sense of responsibility and I could not handle it (it wasn't the first time)and just pulled her out of the school as I figured management would do nothing. I had issues prior to that with updates from the teacher and asked for a classroom change but was denied. Some teachers are extremely good and really cares and unfortunately we were not blessed with one. Kids in other classes gets lots of picture updates but I did. We did not love our teacher. They won't share a curriculum. You just pay the fees and assume your kid is learning a ton. They would simply tell we have 13 kids to care and they were busy. My kid hardly got 2 photos a month and the other teacher sends 25 photos a week for a child who comes half a day. So it is really the teacher! BIG NO read more

The new administration, yet with extensive Creo and Montessori experience, has brought welcomed warmth and openness to the growing school. Adding music and art to the in-class curriculum is wonderful and the renewed bilingual immersion is great! The multi-age structure is remarkably effective at encouraging good citizenship in the students, caring for each other and allowing all to follow and develop their passions. This year, Ms. Jill has changed the tone making Creo even more welcoming. The international feel of an AMI certified Montessori school is amazing and Creo is doing an excellent job navigating the balance between staying true to what that certification means and the current atmosphere in public education. In February, my 9 year old son informed me that he had been inappropriately touched on multiple occasions at school by 2 older classmates, one of whom is 4 years older. They were strategically targeting him so that no adults were around when it happened. He reported this predatory behavior had been going on for over 3 weeks. I sent an email to the teacher, head of elementary department, and the principal informing them of the allegations my son had informed me of. I followed up with an additional email directly to the principal pleading for help to address this situation immediately because I had already lost confidence in this teacher and feared retaliation if handled improperly. Due to the gravity of the situation, I knew they were required by law to act on this immediately. A full school day later, not one of them had replied. Naively, I trusted them and sent my son to school that day thinking they would make the situation a priority. They made no effort to protect him nor investigate the allegations and these bullies were given one final opportunity to intimidate him with a teacher, principal, and head of elementary watching and in the room knowing what I had reported to them. After pushing harder for an investigation, the head of the elementary department interviewed and confirmed the incident had happened as my son described. My husband and I met with all three administrators (teacher, head of elementary department, and principal) and all they could say is, 'we are so sorry this happened to your son,' but offered no clear resolution or changes that would give me assurance it would never happen again. I know kids will do stupid things but I expect the administration to have better conflict resolution skills. There was zero consequence or accountability for the boys involved. During the 5 years we attended this school, our family put our heart and souls into Creo School and community. In the end, when I needed it the most, no one had my son's best interest. I had no choice but to withdraw my son from this school for his safety. After he was gone for a few months and slowly opened up more about the situation, I realized how toxic this environment was and how much it deeply affected him. read more

Creo has been wonderful so far since my son started here in September. He absolutely loves going to school now and the ones we tried before he thought he was being punished when sent there. As a national educational consultant, I have visited and consulted with many schools all over the country. I am particularly taken with Creo Montessori. The level of authentic care for the education, well-being, and development of all of their students is remarkable. The educators are extremely passionate about their work, knowledgeable on developmental and educational practice, and have a keen desire to connect with each student. I have NEVER seen an educational establishment as fine as this one. When I learned that they have a wait list, I was not surprised at all. It is worth the wait, and they are who they say they are. This school is the only school I would ever send my children to. The program directors in particular are some of the most caring, dedicated, and relational people that I have ever had the pleasure of consulting with. What can be said about Creō Montessori? Well, to start, it is a fantastic AMI certified Montessori school. What do we love about this school? First, there is no homework. All work is done in class. I love how this allows kids to come home and enjoy family time, setting them up to maintain an important work/life balance later in life! Second, kids aren't stuck sitting in desks all day. They are allowed to choose an area to work. It can be outside, at a shared table, an individual desk, and even on a mat or rug on the floor. Third, they have multi-age classrooms. Generally speaking, the levels are ages 0-3, 3-6, 6-9, 9-12. The kids stay in the same classroom, with the same teacher for three years. The kids go from being the youngest of the group and learning to ask for and accept help, to independent learning, and eventually the oldest of the group who begin to offer help to younger students. It's an excellent way to reinforce learned material and create their own mini-community where they can really learn what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves. Fourth, they have a strategic plan to grow their Montessori program through high school level. This alleviates a lot of the Montessori transition anxieties that some Montessori parents sometimes have when choosing this path. Currently, they have classrooms through 6th grade. Next year, there are plans to open a second campus, Creō Farm, where adolescents will be learning to care for farm animals, collect scientific data and observations, and even start their own businesses! The high school program will include a partnership with Chandler/Gilbert Community College so students can earn college credits before they graduate. This past year they have added music, art, and gardening programs to the school, furthering the amazing well-rounded eduction that they already provide. They have bilingual aides in every classroom and provide instruction in English and Spanish. It's truly amazing to see how quickly the students begin to pick up a second language! Finally, and most importantly, they have the most amazing teachers and staff. My children LOVE this school! The staff is kind, patient, thoughtful, and truly committed to the whole-child philosophy. For me, being able to send my kids to a school where I know that the staff "sees" my child is amazing. Each student has their own experience, their own style of learning, their own pace, and their own challenges. At Creō, every single child is met at their level and their eduction is 100% individualized to help them become the best version of themselves. My children have developed a love of learning. They are calm, capable, self-directed, independent, curious, kind, patient, and loving. Although I would love to take all of the credit for their upbringing, it really is such an amazing partnership with some of the most amazing people I've ever met, that fosters this kind of development. We chose Creo Montessori for both our daughters because of the environment the school provided. It is a small community feeling where not only the kids know each other, but we as parents also know each other. I love the school's no homework policy, because it allows my daughters to do different after school activities and still have time to sit down to dinner as a family. This is our fourth year at the school and between my 2 daughters, we have experienced every single stage of the school; from the toddler classroom, children's house and elementary. My family has been attending Creo for 2 1/2 years. We love this school! All of the teachers and staff are phenomenal! My son is in second grade now and he still runs up to give hugs to his kindergarten teachers every time he sees them! Both of my kids are able to have their different needs met at Creo, thanks to Montessori mullti-aged classrooms. My older son is slightly ahead and really benefits from being in a classroom with kids that are older than him. My younger son is slightly behind and he benefits from being with students who are younger than him. He is gaining confidence from being a leader and good role-model to the younger students. He is also gaining more confidence in his reading skills, but doesn't feel "behind" because he surrounded by other kids who are at his level. It's amazing how much real-life learning happens at Creo. My 2nd grader is also doing a research project on snakes and has gone to the library to check-out books, contacted the herpetology society in Phoenix (both by phone and email) and has arranged a trip to visit them after the new year. He will soon be presenting his research to the class and is he beyond excited about it. So many great life skills he is learning from this one project! Our children have called Creo home since the school opened its doors. Creo is much more than just a school, it's a community of like minded people who believe in inclusion and empowering every child to reach their full potential. Our three children are very different and learn in varying ways. The staff has continuously worked to ensure their individual styles are not only understood but respected and welcomed. We have enjoyed that all work is completed during the school day which means no homework! This has allowed more family dinners and bike rides. This is has been my daughter's first year at Creo and I am very thankful for the opportunity for her to attend this school. Her teacher is very nurturing and understanding to her individual needs. She is very soft spoken and my daughter loves her. She communicates with me a great deal and is in tune with my daughter. She knows when she's having an off day or can tell if her baby sister kept her up all night. I watched my daughter grow and blossom from day one. She is very shy by nature and this program has grown her confidence in herself by letting her learn at her own pace. She loves going to school so much, she will try to hide being sick so she can go. Which is why I chose this school, I wanted her to love to learn. Her classroom and outdoor environment is beautiful and peaceful. My daughter loves learning about the plants throughout the school. Her classmates are also very culturally and economically(scholarships are available) diverse, children of the world in Montessori fashion. There is a Spanish speaking teacher in each classroom that the children have no idea that they can actually speak English. Each classroom also has live animals for the children to observe and care for. The focus of the classroom is to foster independence. When my daughter brings home her work she is always so proud to show me. I love that they are already teaching her cursive, which has disappeared in many curriculums. The school really is a community, everyone knows each other and is friendly. The uniform policy is easy to follow and I love you can have any color(except black) shirt instead of just red white and blue like some other schools. This lets the kids still have some individuality while still keeping morning dressing simple. Just the whole feel of the school is peaceful and accepting. I would highly recommend this school to anyone. I look forward to my younger children to start here as well. I really hope they decide to expand to high school grades. read more

Both my children have attended Creo since it opened in 2014. The teachers and staff have been nothing short of amazing. We have been welcomed into the community with open arms. The school is also dedicated to helping all families that wish to provide a true Montessori education for their children. Creo sponsors an fundraiser each year to help raise funds for families in need. My children love going to school each day and we are truly amazed by the way they see the world and treat others. They enjoy all of their classmates and have learned about many different cultures and ethnic backgrounds and truly respect everyone and their differences. My children have attended this wonderful and authentic Montessori school since it opened over 4 years ago. We have found the staff to be extremely highly educated, very caring with regard to the benefit of all children, and support parents with parent workshops. On of the main reasons we joined this school was their commitment to cultural and social economic diversity. My children's classmates are of all cultures from hispanic, black, eastern europe, asian and indian. Creo as most all Montessori schools, are very attractive to all cultures because they truly celebrate the child of the world. The most important review I can give Creo is that my children are thriving in all aspects of their development. They appreciate all life and love to learn. I visited Creo during the month of September. I spoke with Brenda and who let me know she had space for my children (2yr and 4yr old) . I told her I would like them to start within a couple of weeks because I would be going back to work soon and she said it was no problem! She also scheduled a tour of which children are not allowed to attend. Not even the child or children who may be attending the school. The tour with Sherry, went fine. However I did notice, there was not a single African American child or employee. At the end of the tour Sherry gave me a folder and we sat down and discussed when I would like my children to start. I had also asked her about financial aid since I had seen information regarding financial aid in the folder she gave me. She did let me know that all of the financial aid had been used for the year. At that time, I also let her know , that was fine . At the end of the meeting we discussed that I would wanted my 4 yr old son to begin after the fall break . This was around October 17th. At this point she seemed scattered. Suddenly she had to check her roster to be sure she had space. But eventually she said it was fine and we even discussed uniforms and how she wanted me to bring my son in a day before the 17th so he could meet his teacher and friends before a full day. She did tell me she would give me a call back to confirm that he could start. Days go back and I had not received a call back. So, I called her! Since the day of the tour, I have never spoken to her again . When I called, Brenda told me that she would need to speak with Sherry and give me a call back. Again, days go by. We are now beyond the day my son was to start. I figured with them just coming from a break that she needed more time to get back to normal. I called back days later to hear from Brenda that Sherry said she suddenly had no availability in either of my children's classes and that they would be the first ones to start a waitlist. Of course during the conversation I expressed how confused I was and how I would like a call from Sherry because I didn't understand how all of a sudden there was no more room for my kiddo that was supposed to start days ago. It's now Mid November. As Brenda said, I called back a month later to see if there had been any changes. Of course she told me, she would have to speak to Sherry and give a call back by the end of the day. No call back. I called back days later and she had another excuse why Sherry hadn't answered her and couldn't speak to me. She said, Sherry was on vacation and she would be sure to have an answer for me once Sherry returned in about 2 days. I call back a week later, still no response. But what Brenda did say was that she couldn't find any information about my children but she remembered I was the one who asked about financial aid. That made me feel she was maybe dodging me because she felt like I couldn't pay for the tuition. Which is a form of discrimination. So I told her , you know, I'm just curious if you guys have space or not. It's very simple. She said she would have to speak with Sherry. At this point, I realize that for whatever reason, they do not want my children attending their school. So I had a friend call and ask Brenda if they had space for a random 4 yr old boy to start within a week or so. Sure enough , Brenda told her , we do have space. At this point, I'm upset because she flat out lied to me by saying she had to speak to Sherry and ask if she had space. if there was suddenly a space open for a 4 yr old why didn't she tell me that? Especially when my kids are, "#1 on the wait list". I call her back the same day minutes apart from my friend and asked her the same question, do you or not have space for a 4yr old boy or my 2 yr old daughter. She addressed me by my name and told me that Sherry had just walked in and that she hadn't spoken to her yet. So at that point I let her know that I set her up and that I felt discriminated against. I let her know that I would do whatever I could to be sure that someone greater than her or Sherry knew what they were doing to me. She apologized and wanted to immediately fix the situation. I let her know I was no longer interested in the school and hung up. Since you all do not know, I am a mixed woman and so are my children. I do not know if it was my skin color or the fact that I asked about financial aid that caused them to mistreat my family but neither would be an "ok" reason. We are good people who just needed a great place to send our children while we work to provide for them. To end I will say, they have never called me back. If ever someone told me that they felt discriminated against , I would make it my priority to let them know that they there had to have been a miscommunication. But , clearly, there wasn't. They discriminated us and it is not ok and I WILL do WHATEVER I need to do so that everyone in my community knows it. read more

We found Creo after we had been struggling to find the right fit for our special needs child. He had tried several other types of school options including public, charter and even homeschooling. We stumbled across Creo at its inception and haven't looked back. Our son began in 2nd grade and is now at the new Adolescent campus currently in 8th grade. He was working on life skills and academics in a new way and he was loving it. The focus on grace and courtesy had also stuck us as such a unique attribute of this type of education. The idea that this is their "home" and they are being "raised" during the day to be good, caring, love, and thoughtful human begins resonated. Since our son started after he was very established in core subjects, it was eye opening to watch our middle child read at such a young age and with such confidence. Her love of learning, reading, and researching hasn't diminished over time. Having the 3-year cycle has had such an amazing impact on our children being able to build on skills in a continuous environment with the same teachers has been a blessing. We love Creo and have felt so fortunate to be a founding family and watch this school grow each year. To be able to provide this type of well rounded, thought provoking, integrative education to my children is beyond anything I could have imagined. As a yoga teacher, to see so many principles of self-care, self-esteem, self-love and humanity incorporated into their daily environment makes my heart sing. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Creo. It is an authentic Montessori experience. Our two daughters have been at the school since it opened and they are both thriving. They are very different children but both are excelling in this amazing environment. Every single teacher is amazing and all go above and beyond to be sure that our children's needs are met. They challenge them and always have their finger on the pulse of who they are and what they need. I always thought I would just stay for preschool but fell in love with the environment, the families and the teachers, so much so, that we haven't been able to leave. Our daughters are in second grade and kindergarten and both absolutely love going to school every day. I've been overwhelmed with the support from the staff and the wonderful families who attend the school. I never imagined my children having such a wonderful educational experience.
