Us at 9pm when the posted closing time is 10pm: "Is it still ok to order dinner?" Waitress, smiling and seemingly unbothered: "Oh yes of course!" Us: "Oh excellent!" No. Not excellent. One of my biggest pet peaves in a restaurant is trying to close up shop, or going about closing shop, in front of your customers... Especially after I ask you if it's going to be an issue. Even worst when u provide sh*tty a$$ service because you're doing said closing operations. They made me so friggen mad I will never ever ever eat dinner here again. It's ice cream and that is IT from now on from this place. No, I did not want to feel I needed to wolf down my meal in 20 minutes or less. I did not want to pay over 50$ to be rushed through my meal. I certainly didn't want to leave that 15% tip to that inadequate green haired waitress either. I only did because I can't seem to bring myself to tip less than that, but GAWD DAMN sweetie u REALLY pissed me off. I WOULD have liked mayo with my sandwich if you had bothered to provide any form of service. I WOULD have asked for cheese for my nachos I ordered, 'cuz silly me thought that was the defining factor of nachos vs chips, but you never came back until our plates were empty. I WOULD have told you the chicken tastes a little funky and cheap (Dog? Cat?) but you didn't bother to give a fk. I SHOULD have told you as I was leaving I usually tip upwards of 20-33% when I get good to fabulous service. I SHOULD have told your bosses they lost a customer. I SHOULD have been upfront about how insulting it is to be closing your terrasse (literally pulling down all the flaps around us) 15 minutes before closing time while you still have customers on it. So I guess ultimately it's my own fault for letting you treat me so poorly. But I WON'T be making that mistake again. And now you have a lovely 2 star review to go with your, albeit 5 star ice cream, but 3 star food and 1 star service and pricing. You're welcome. To be clear about where I removed stars: - I remove 1 star for the terrible service - I remove 1 star for over pricing casse croute style eats - I remove 1 star for serving crappy quality chicken and ingredients at those prices Moral of the story: customer service is important. I noticed this place years ago but never stopped by until recently. They're the only place I know of to have Bilboquet ice cream, made with 100% natural ingredients (their vanilla hard ice actually has vanilla seeds in it). They also have regular soft serve vanilla and chocolate ice cream and sorbet. They serve American-style sandwiches, subs, burgers and pizza and Chinese-style soup. They've got a nice selection of poutines (their bacon poutine is their best one) and a nice dessert menu.. Enjoy a meal inside their restaurant or on their terrace across the street from the riverside. read more

Great location, right by the park. Cafe offers some basic food (e.g. Sandwiches, pizza, hot dog, burgers) but it's not a greasy joint nor is the food straight from a fridge. Good for families, sports groups to hang out and grab something to eat. Nice dining patio and a large chalk board for the kids. They also have an ice team stand in front of the store. Staff is pleasant but just a bit slow. read more

I love coming here anytime I'm hanging out at the water front ! I've been here multiple times for breakfast, lunch and for ice cream ! Service is always so friendly and prices are fair. their club sandwich and their quesadilla with a side of fries and their signature mayo are my go to for lunch and breakfast is your classic breakfast items no frills but well prepared , fairly priced and really hits the spot. Really nice place to sit outside on their patio for a bite when the weather is nice or to grab an ice cream to take with you and enjoy on the water front/bird sanctuary right across the street. Covid measures are well in place as well. their ice cream is a touch pricier than the usual but the quality is there. Their dark chocolate is always good or their coffee ice cream, classic soft serve half chocolate half vanilla (with some sprinkled for nostalgia!) etc .. it's right beside the bike path on the water so it's a great place to make a pit stop for a snack. read more

OMG where do I start .. the place is located in a beautiful water front park just by the rapids the menu is just fantastic mouth watering display of words of all their tantalizing ingredients, and from what i tasted i believe that the chef is passionate about what goes on every dish , but here is where the problem starts this greasy spoon has everything on the menu from burgers to general tao the women working the front of the house destroy what the chef is trying to claim in his plates .. they are rude little PreMadonnas that have no clue about the dining experience their service skills are straight out of ghetto hand book .. Do recommend you going to this place just makes sure your meal is for take out ! read more
