I asked her about it and she said it was because she had to answer the phone. ***NO***. I walked out. I told her I couldn't check my dog in because I didn't feel safe because she wasn't wearing a mask. During this deadly covid season we're all living through right now, when I see people in public not wearing a mask, I can only assume they are part of the crowd that has politicized mask-wearing, and that not wearing one is an intentional, overt expression of their rebellion. Which is really stupid imo, but, in any case, I would think that even business owners who don't personally agree with the idea of masks would wear them and have their staff wear them anyway so that their clients feel safe enough to give them their business. Well, this would-be client is appalled. I have elderly at-risk parents at home and this blatant disregard for human life is infuriating. I'll never go there again, and I'll forever rant against anyone else taking their pet there.

It's not what we wanted (him gone) but it was the right thing to do since he had become ill and wasn't wanting to eat. In contacting them over the phone and sharing our situation, the attendant was extremely responsive and empathetic to our situation. As the date got closer, our poor boy declined quicker and we even had to move the date up. The company was super flexible and understanding and we were grateful they were able to accommodate this move to two days earlier. When the day came, we were certainly sad. When Dr. Benson arrived, she was soft spoken and kind. She greeted Moose and as soon as he noticed someone had walked in he got up and wagged his tail the best he could. This scene brought me to tears because that was the essence of who Moose was as our pet. He loved ALL humans and was always seeking their attention. Dr. Benson pet Moose and gave him love and affection. He received it and then went to his bed shortly after. She explained the process to us from start to finish. She was gentle in her wording and handling of every last detail. We set Moose up in one of his favorite sunning spots in the yard on his bed. And gracefully, Moose crossed over the rainbow bridge. We were given plenty of time to spend with Moose as the sedative worked and then after the final moments we were able to say our final goodbyes. The gentlemen who came to take care of Moose afterwards was soft spoken and extremely kind. He took care of Moose and left respectfully as he came. We are so grateful from start to finish how this went with our beloved boy. We will forever miss him. But the send off he was given will be forever a part of his journey. Thank you, Paws into Grace. Your whole team are gems.

However, there were some not so great things or improvements they should consider. Initial call with the lady to schedule was alright. She honestly didn't cover much of information, I felt like I had to ask her a lot of questions that she initially didn't mention. If she can slowly just go over from start to finish, it would've eased my mind a little bit more during this horrible time. In details... I know this is a business, but also this isn't something people go through every year (hopefully). The doctor came and she was very understanding of the situation. It felt like she was genuinely sorry for what we were going through as she also lost hers not long ago. I do wish that she would've stepped outside the house to give me little more privacy, but it is what it is. Im sure I could've asked. She did her best in the circumstances. Now, the worst part of this experience was the picking up the ashes. It took me 1 hour round trip to get there and it took 2 seconds to get her back and leave the place. The lady came out with a brown bag and hurried me out the door. I honestly didn't know what to expect, but that wasn't it. I was dumbfounded of like what just happened? Can I at least take a moment to open the bag to see what's all inside? Take a moment to just take it all in that I'm picking my child up as ashes? It felt like 'ok, you paid me, now you can go' vibe. It would've been nice to just take a moment instead of being rushed out. Also not sure why they don't offer drop off, I know a lot of people would pay extra for that so at least they are home when they receive the ashes back and go back to cry all they want at home. I really do appreciate what this company does, but there are something that need some improvements.

Our Bella was a 15 year old Aussie when we made the decision to euthanize her at home. Dr Nicole communicated with us throughout the day as to her arrival time. She was so extremely kind and supportive. She explained to us how the process works and gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes. This was the best possible outcome for an incredibly painful experience. It has been a month since Bella's death and I finally can write this without crying. Dr Nicole really helped us feel that we had made the right decision. Godspeed Bella and thank you so much for all your love over the many years.

Don was incredibly kind and empathetic. He was able to give me quotes and all the information I required. I'm thankful for the auto message function as I had difficulty responding. My husband made the actual call weeks later. Don again, was incredibly empathetic and kind as he walked us through the steps. On that day, Dr.Nicole came over and was amazing. I couldn't have imagined a gentler experience for my babies. She was so patient, gentle and kind. I'm so thankful, I don't think I have the words to describe the gratitude I feel. I was so scared about them having scary anxious feelings when it came time for euthanasia. But after a lot of excitement which Dr.Nicole was gracious about, my babies settled down and sat with us. I am grateful for the conversations we had. We were never rushed, or judged. She was so empathetic. It was such a devastatingly sad, surreal experience. Neal had started to deteriorate so rapidly this year. His sister Sara had started to not be able to hide how ill she felt. I don't think I would have ever been ready to let them go. As I look back at my pictures and videos it's easier to see that they were both ill. It was so easy to look past it when they were here. I'd compare them to the pictures and just add accommodations for their comfort. Because their smiles, the love in their eyes...the tail wags were still there, different, but there. It was so hard to admit it was time. All the anxiety that had been eating away at me for months washed away and was replaced with a bottomless sadness and relief that my babies were no longer suffering. They were two amazing small little dogs who left an unfathomable chasm in my heart. The after care was also above and beyond. I can't recommend them enough. If you are reading this and you think it is time, Serene Passages is the correct choice.

One thing we…read morelearned is that using a mobile vet pet hospice can truly be the most compassionate way to help them cross the rainbow bridge. Being at home (or wherever you are) keeps them comfortable, calm, and surrounded by the people who love them most. It removes so much of the stress and anxiety that can come with a trip to the vet's office, especially in their final moments. When we were traveling in our RV, we used St. Francis In-Home Pet Hospice (Coachella, CA) , and it was such a peaceful and loving experience. They treated our sweet Harley Girl with so much dignity and compassion, and gave us the time and space to say goodbye the right way. Dr. Gilabert & her assistant allocated 2 hours and they were so amazing. Whenever that difficult time comes again, we will absolutely pray to find another mobile vet to guide us through the same gentle process. If you ever have to face this heartbreaking moment with your pet, we truly recommend looking into a mobile pet hospice. It made all the difference for our family and for our fur baby.
