Got to go and visit here with family and loved the layout and atmosphere!…read more Lots of different areas to hang out in and sit. Looking for a cabana style spot for you and some friends? Got it. A quiet corner to have a drink and relax? Yup. A main open area to be around groups of people? Check! We loved walking around and exploring the different areas and seeing the views! The flight of ciders was a treat and we enjoyed trying 4 different ones and comparing which we liked best! (Lemon ginger was a BIG hit!) The staff were all friendly and helped narrow down our choices. There's a separate part of the property where they hold weddings and events, which would be beautiful! Looked like they also have food trucks and music in the tap house regularly too. Looking forward to visiting again when I am back in town, gotta try the new seasonal flavor!

Dylan had wanted to show me how beautiful this place has become and also wanted me to meet Matt. Im certainly glad I did! Matt spent some time with us and let us explore the property. Matt is great! Retreat21 is lucky to have him as we found the landscaping to be wonderful. From the patios, to the right amount of gravel on the road, to their gorgeous, landscaped pond and event center and OH! can we mention how they incorporated a 100+ old oak to serve as an altar in their woodland sanctuary. Perfection!!! There is a large guest cabin that can be rented, plus seven other ones and a handful of geodomes. Each cabin has a private hot tub and fire pit. The geodomes just have a fire pit. At the front of the property is a large barn that has been converted to a tasting room. They have several house made craft wines and ciders. You can take those out to enjoy on one of three nice sized patios... one has hanging swings! They serve charcuterie, boards, and flatbreads... I'm on the weekends. They have food trucks. They also have yoga on the weekends that you can do in their vineyard -pretty cool along with other events This is a great addition to the Columbus area and Marysville. I think it's gonna be very successful. Definitely worth the trip to visit.

Beautiful space, great place to hold a venue! Very spacious, I attended a wedding there and it was…read moreelegant and just worked. Saw some art there one time, it was made for art it just works.. like a bouquet on a brunch table. Honestly you could do anything there.. a mixer, a paint and sip, that fits right?? Art and wine..yes please. You could hold a ballroom dancing class, heck you could hold a ball like a gala style benefit. Since I mentioned it perhaps a brunch type thing like from 10-14, everyone likes brunch and mossas maybe toss some puppies in there just for pettin, no.. what about a humane society fashion show, get them all glammed up and showcase them, talk about their likes and dislikes, their aspirations. Bunch of boozy young to middle aged adults high on Prosecco and crepes, lot of happy snooterdoodles getting homes.. why stop there.. maybe you pop an hours on both ends, 9-3 or 4? Of course it would be on Saturday.. duh. Maybe there is a screen set up in a corner of the room with all kinds of cozy bean bag chairs and blankets, pillows. On the screen it's playing nothing but Tom Hanks movies, this event is now from 9-5 so 8 hours of Tom Hank's blockbusters, Turner and Hooch, You've got mail, a man called Otto, Cast Away, and terminal, that lest one doesn't have animals but it is wholesome. For the first half like till 1 ish everyone can watch Tommies movies, snuggle pups and drink classy breakfast cocktails. What of the announcer is a little old man with a bow tie and his name is Hank. Hank Loves dogs and maybe he gets a little emotional when he talks about how bad they need homes.. that's going to tug on some heart strings.. you just drank 4 bloody Mary's and watched Tom fall in love with a stray cat and then Hank Gets up to showcase a poor puppy in need! He talks about how his late wife Darlene loved helping animals and her dying wish was for Hank to be happy and make the world a better place!! He pulls out a HANKerchief and wipes a solitary tear and smiles and says: I have had a wonderful life, and now it's time for Sampson to have a Wonderful life too, and a hopeful volunteer walks out showcasing a needy dog who has a big smile and is wearing a handsome vest, cause he gets a little cold sometimes.. awww. He love sleeping in the bed, under the covers and his favorite treat are little cubed sweet potato bites.. Hank says: he's a good good boi, and I'm hope that someone has it in their heart to give Sampson his forever home, and if you can't have pets then we hope you make a donation. What's this event called you ask? Hankering for Homes, I just got goosebumps typing that.. i hope that someone who has the money and drive finds it in their heart to organize this event, I would really like to attend... I digress, this is a fantastic venue with plenty of possibilities, but let's be honest, it was made for Hankering for Homes.

1 Star -- Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more We visited Selby 100 Mile House expecting the same high-class dining experience it was known for before the change in ownership. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing from beginning to end. The new owners have apparently been there for about three months, and there is currently no menu available to look at, which makes it difficult to know what kind of dining experience you're walking into. We were told about the evening specials, and honestly, we were shocked by the offerings. The choices were chili spaghetti, chili, a chili pie, a burger, and two flatbreads. That is a very different experience from what we expected from a place that previously had a much more upscale reputation. We decided not to eat dinner and were simply going to have a couple of wine slushies and leave. The atmosphere was also not what we anticipated. When we arrived, there was a karaoke competition happening, and the drink options were primarily different types of slushies. Again, not what we remembered Selby 100 Mile House being. Once the owner realized we weren't planning to order dinner, she came over and convinced us to try a pasta salad that she said "everyone loves." Unfortunately, the pasta was undercooked and had an unpleasant texture that made it seem as though it had been sitting in the refrigerator for quite some time. When the owner came back and asked how it was, I tried to be polite. I told her honestly that it wasn't my favorite and explained that it was a texture issue. Her response was completely inappropriate. She brought over her 7 or 8 year old daughter, asked her whether she ate certain foods, and when the child said no, the owner responded, "I like to call that a touch of the Tism." That comment was incredibly offensive and completely unacceptable in a customer service interaction. I was simply giving honest feedback about the food, and I should not have been subjected to a remark like that. Then the chef came out and, rather than simply accepting that we didn't enjoy the food, approached us in a way that felt very intimidating and seemed determined to convince us that we should like it. The interaction made an already uncomfortable experience even worse. There were also significant concerns regarding cleanliness and presentation. The chef's personal appearance was extremely unkempt and unhygienic, which was particularly concerning in a restaurant setting and completely destroyed any confidence we had in the food. We were also told that the restaurant gets its food from local butchers. Based on what we experienced and saw, that claim did not seem credible to us. The one positive thing I can say is that our servers were attentive and pleasant. They were the only bright spot in an otherwise very disappointing experience. We came in expecting the Selby 100 Mile House we remembered and left wondering what happened to it. Between the limited food selection, lack of a menu, questionable food quality, uncomfortable interaction with the owner, inappropriate comment, and overall lack of professionalism, this was absolutely not the experience we expected. We will not be returning.
