Been here a few times for a few different events. Since this is an event space that events…read morethemselves can rent out, I'll try to avoid commenting on the actual events. Instead, I want to focus a bit on the staff and space provided at the Kee. I've been surprised by the event staff here every time I've come to an event. Every time I've gone, the bar has been pretty understaffed. Customers will come up asking for water, and bartenders will wave them off, saying "Get water from the free dispenser over there" while the dispenser is empty. Maybe this is a barback issue? The bathrooms start out okay in the beginning of the event, but every event has been out of toilet paper and paper towels by the end. They're looking pretty shabby too. The Kee might consider mid-event janitorial services because women ducking into the men's room to steal toilet paper rolls to hand them off to other women who are sitting in the stalls is probably not the look you're going for. The space itself is cute. Rooms are wide open with ample walking space. The main room (the Kee calls it "The Venue") is huge and echo-y - which is a shame because this appears to be where they put live entertainment and music. We've had a hard time hearing any presenter's words in this room because of the acoustics. The additional rooms are super cute (love the arcade games and unique furniture), but they're only open during events if your event paid for them. The arcade games cost extra money. There are nearby parking lots that'll handle most small-event traffic, but if something huge is going on, you might need to figure out street parking. The hallways/entryways are definitely built for shuttling people through, and they handle entrance lines pretty solidly. (I'm a little confused by the Yelpers reviewing food or drinks here. The Kee is only open for private and public events. It looks like this might have been a restaurant space at one point?)

The bathrooms were awesome (pink sinks, faucets, and hand dryers in the women's room!) -the barista who manned the coffee bar for the event was wonderful. He made a phenomenal dirty cinnamon chai latte -I had a light lunch of whipped honey labneh and I never want yogurt again, just that. Chefs kiss. Another reviewer correctly pointed out that they already add a 20% service charge so do what you want with that info.

Ah, the Fawcett Center. I used to work here 35 years ago, in the auditorium, as my work study job…read more We had events all the time. WOSU was based here, in the end section by the auditorium. There was a hotel, and a fancy restaurant. I learned a lot, and goofed off a lot. Today, the building has been renovated. No more hotel- athletic offices I think. No big restaurant- a small cafe, where the hotel's front desk was. No more WOSU. It's very clean and new, inside and out. Doesn't look like the auditorium gets used much, and the WOSU end looks empty. Of course, that is my impression from a quick nostalgia visit. They might be busy on weekends. There are conference rooms and meeting areas. Looks like they do catering for events. Hopefully the space is being used enough to keep it going. I saw a few students and staff, on a weekday. I've heard you can park here for events at the Schott. Be careful- all the parking is pay or permit.

I finally had an open night to join in on a Bingo game hosted by Gidget's. It was so much fun! There was a decent group of people that came out for Bingo. It seemed like there were a lot of locals. They had alcohol available and a few simple food options. The Bingo game was so much fun! The caller was fun. It was free to play and there were fun little prizes if you get a Bingo. This was such a laid back evening, well as laid back as playing Bingo could be! This is a great space for events. I see the potential and vision that the owners have for their space!

We hosted nearly 200 guests and the venue was just the right size. The bar, which was in the vault itself, was a hot spot during our time there. The bartenders were not stingy with the alcohol and very nice. I recommend Laura with boardwalk catering as well. We received many complements on her food. She was also very easy to work with. We would definitely recommend the vault for anyone looking to host a wedding.

It's easy to get to but there's not really any parking in the area. I know a lot of people that get their cars broken into on the weekends, so I suggest ubering if you can. Once inside the building it looks old. Word on the street is this was an old bank back in the 1920s. There's tile everywhere, the walls could use a paint job, and the bathroom was a wreck. But like I said in the beginning, it fits for the right event, and a rave is just one of them. When you reach the ballroom, you'll find the old vault tucked under a grand staircase. It doesn't really have any of the old vault features but it is what it is. I will say that the lighting is pretty good, and the giant windows are cool. When I've been there they projected the DJs name on the wall, like I see many do for weddings.There's a big chandelier hanging right in the middle with tapestries pulling away from it. It's rather beautiful. I'm interested in seeing this place set up in the daytime or for a wedding but who knows if that would ever happen. If they cleaned up the place a bit I can see it being really lovely.

I think the Black Horse Inn used to be in this very spot. It is an excellent place to grab drinks with friends. Good beer selection. Strong menu for such a small place. The odd: a smallish outdoor area exists but it is mostly brick and concrete with limited seating. Still, good for the smokers in your crowd. An around the corner inside gameroom exists with classic arcade and other games. There is a weird area behind the lottery machines that looks like it used to be solarium seating or some other groovy Seventies thing, but it now appears to be disused. The troubling: when residents of the complex are mostly home, parking can be had but it is a bit of a challenge as most parking spaces are full and people parallel park haphazardly all over the nearby street, I suppose because it is a private street and ticketing can't occur? In any case, this is a diamond in the rough. Come for the drinks and friendly staff, stay for the food and whatever game is on TV, and enjoy an out of the way spot that will amaze your drinking buddies. Hell, you can probably win a first round of drinks just by proving this place exists. And don't forget TouchTunes. With the cheap drink specials, sometime I spend more on ear than beer.

The staff there are kind and engaging and make everyone feel right at home. They have a pool table and electronic dart boards, so bring your friends out and challenge each other for drinks. They have daily drink specials and the bar menu checks all the boxes when you get hungry.
