The food here is delicious. There are a ton of options to choose from, and everything is made fresh and served hot (I mean, unless it's supposed to be served cold, like a salad - you know what I mean people!). They have daily specials and you may need to sit down for this one: they honor their specials for take-out. What? Yes, that is correct. Monday: wing night Tuesday: tacos Wednesday: cheesesteaks Thursday: burgers Try them all and see what you like! Over the past decade, I've gotten to know the bartenders a little bit and I appreciate them because they serve good drinks and are friendly. They are also prompt! When they have a moment, they take the time to chat a little with me and I like that. The pub itself is cozy. The lighting is always appropriate for what's going on and there are plenty of TVs around, displaying the local sports teams. Sometimes there is live entertainment, too. You can sit and eat at the bar but there are also booths, tables, and high-tops to choose from. I uploaded some menu photos because this site did not have any. Go check out Kavanagh's Irish Pub & Grille - I know you will love it!

The menu has been revamped and it continues to evolve... The new food items are delicious and greatly appreciated. We've been looking at the same menu for almost a decade, so it's nice to have new options. Does that mean you will love the new food? Only one way to find out. Since the menu is evolving, it means the new owners are actively paying attention to what the customers want - and that goes a long way toward making the general public happy. It makes people want to become regulars. You know what else makes people want to become regulars? The service and the servers. Did you know the ice cold beer I enjoy at The Mill tastes exactly the same as the ice cold beer served at 3 other local businesses? It does! So why do I keep coming back to The Mill over and over again? I can tell you the two main reasons: Daniele and Kelcie. These girls are amazing. The prompt and accurate service they provide is only part of the story. They are also so nice and funny - very personable with all of the patrons. It makes us feel comfortable being at The Mill. Thank you both so much! I would be remiss not to give a huge shout out to Vienna, James, and Mary. It's always a pleasure seeing all or any of you when we walk through the door. The place has been spruced up quite a bit under new ownership. We notice the new signage and lights. Considerable attention has been given to the outside patio. You should stop in and see what it's all about. I would say The Mill is not a dive bar, but it is definitely casual and a nice place to sit and relax while eating and drinking. There are pool tables, plenty of TVs to watch, and a jukebox. It's worth noting that The Mill also touts ridiculously reasonably priced lunch specials; also, each day of the week has a special associated with it. For example, Thursday night is wing night. Three days a week they have happy hour specials too. Check out their website and social media pages for more information on this. If you've never been or haven't been in awhile, I would highly recommend visiting The Mill. You will not be disappointed and you will get GREAT food/drink and top-notch service!

Good memories. So I'll admit it: I walked in with low expectations. My wife dropped me off while she went shopping. Word-of-mouth hadn't exactly sold me. It was freezing outside, and I figured I'd just kill some time. Turns out, I was wrong. The beer selection is huge. Not just long for the sake of being long, but a tap list that actually makes you pause and think about what you're ordering. That alone already puts this place on solid footing. Because of the cold, I kept it simple and ordered soup--and it was very, very good. Hot, comforting, and done right. No gimmicks. Just solid food when you need it most. House of Brews didn't just fill the space left behind--it improved it. I went in expecting not much and left pleasantly surprised. That's always a good sign.

HUH??? What did you say??…read more The volume of the music system at Mt Royal almost shoves you back out the door ... you can feel the sound and I don't even begin to imagine the damage being done inside the ears of the bar keeps at this inn that has been standing on this corner for more than 100 years (Foundation must be good to withstand the thundering sounds ... did I mention it is LOUD IN HERE!!)! Even my glasses were shaking. Friendly staff but frankly I could not hear what my multiple draft choices were so I meekly said "I will have that first IPA." She replied "you nt the ore dub?' Or something like that ... I smiled and said yes. I hate QR menus but oh well. Specials and signatures are there along with the menu ... I find myself moving with the music but not sure it's by my choice or by the reverberation of sound. By the way, I am seated in a side room off the main bar area where the sound is blitzing the atmosphere! They also have some outdoor seating... highly recommended! 'I am rockin' in the USA' oops, sorry just started singing LOUDLY!! it's my birthday so what the heck even if I never hear again I am going to sing loud and out of key ... no one can hear me or even their own inner thoughts. Going "Buffalo" tonight because I have heard how good their 'wings' are plus they have Buffalo's traditional fish fry of beer battered haddock. And, it's my birthday!! Nice to be acknowledged by some BILLS' Fans or at least I think they said something good about my team because I am wearing Bills' colors. I think someone just collapsed from the sound ... a scream ... the music is 80's and 90's with a beat that literally moves you. I should have gone outside .. I reality should have. Menu has a nice selection of sandwiches... Suddenly the music's volume has returned to an acceptable level of loudness and the food arrived. Grabbed a fry and it was a really good fry! The fish offered the look of a wee bit long in the fryer but if a timer was buzzing earlier in the kitchen the cook could not have heard it. The wings dripped sauce... blue cheese hidden but it was there. However, NO CELERY ... NO CARROTS & no cole slaw with the fish ... I was in fry city. If you serve WINGS you serve CELERY! The wings frankly are not the best in South Jersey not even the best in the county. They however were "not bad" although in keeping pace with the fish they were not juicy and obviously over-fried. The good news they were not battered, which seems to be South Jersey kitchen's favorite way to prep the wings made famous in Buffalo, NY. Whatever beer I picked was pretty good (Bonesaw). I watched others struggling with the QR coded menu and absently tapped my fingers to music whose lyrics were hard to comprehend because my ears were blown out earlier. Bartender is also waiting tables so I patiently waited ... checked for cotton in my ears. Signed off ...20 percent tip, she is working hard. I came for my birthday to get really good, "best wings" according to some, and I am leaving with my inner ears muffled in their ability to process sound not impressed with their bar food nor atmosphere. They say this place has lots of history but frankly it is H-I-S-T-O-R-Y to me. I strongly urge management to limit the volume of the music, which was at an acceptable level as I left (Unless, I lost that much of my hearing earlier and it's still loud.). If you are attempting to provide meals to folks those drinking at the bar need to accept loud music rather than what welcomed me.

It was the 96th brewery I have visited in NJ alone, and I was really impressed with Core3Brewery in how they offer things no other brewery offers. They are located in a former gas station, which had sat abandoned before they completely renovated it. It is the only brewery in NJ to my knowledge that has that gas station feel, and it completely works. There is beautiful woodwork on the inside as well as a nice patio, too. You almost feel as if you are in a log cabin in Colorado. Exploring NJ through the eyes of breweries has taught me a lot about my own state. I have found that the people in this part of the state are definitely the friendliest. If you go to Core3Brewery, you will meet some really down-to-earth, friendly folks from around there. The beers themselves tend to be light, drinkable, and malty. They are not hop-bombs. However, what really makes Core3Brewery stand out regarding their beer is that they have beer-tails, or basically cocktails based upon beer. I had their Sunday-only special, which was a Bloody Mary over an IPA, and it was totally original and delicious. Both co-owner and founder Alexi and his employee were very welcoming to me, too. The major reason I enjoy small beer is that they appreciate your business. I got a free sticker!
