Awesome, great people and wonderful from scratch delicacies. Have been twice, months apart, and each visit impressed me.

Oh. my. The food. The dining experience. The interior ambiance…read more It's been a long time since I've been THIS impressed by a restaurant and literally ALL the dishes we ordered. If there is one restaurant to splurge at in PEC, I would highly recommend you pick Flame + Smith! I have to first compliment our server, he was exceptionally pleasant! Attentive with our waters, brought sharing plates for everything we shared, cleared the table/plates/utensils after each dish, and was so knowledgeable with the local ingredients! Every dish was plated BEAUTIFULLY and garnished with their garden edible flowers. I kid you not, all of them were 5/5 knock my tastebuds off. -Chilled zucchini soup (surprisingly refreshing and creamy) -Local Burrata & heirloom tomatoes (loved the bits of salt in the focaccia that brought out the sweet tomatoes, nutty pistachio butter, creamy cheese and tart berries) -Thai Soft Shelled crab (so crispy on the outside but sweet crabby meat on the inside, compliments the green papaya salad underneath) - Lamb rack (overall yummy, but wish the cut of meat wasn't as fatty as it was) -Charred radicchio with hazelnuts (nice side to add to our main course) -Strawberry tart (showstopper and grand finale of our meal, the thicker crust carries the white chocolate lava and strawberry foam cloud on top) Ugh, I still daydream about eating here. Keep it up Flame+Smith!

On a trip in PEC with friends we stopped at this small diner in Wellington. We were originally here…read morefor breakfast however; it stops after 11 am. The diner has a cool 50s themes. They had records pasted all over the walls and a jukebox which unfortunately didn't work. Our server was super nice and very attentive. My girlfriend ordered the bacon grilled cheese and a poutine with shredded cheese. They also offered curds at an additional cost. She found the poutine flavorful even with the shredded cheese. The gravy was the highlight. The grilled cheese was just okay the bacon wasn't that crispy, and the bread was a little thick. I ordered the Calzone. It was stuffed with cheese, sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms with a side of marinara. Our server asked if I wanted it in garlic butter and I said sure! It was a great choice as when it was delivered it smelt like fresh garlic bread. The whole table was commenting on how great the smell of it. I ended up sharing my garlic bread bow that came on the side. The calzone was fantastic. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft and doughy on the inside. The filling was great. The sausage had good flavor and the cheese had a good pull. The marinara was great for dipping. It was definitely one of the better calzones I've had and a surprise coming from a small-town diner. I highly recommend Rock N Rogers for an inexpensive option in the town of Wellington. It's a cool little spot and the pizza is top notch. The group I was with also enjoy their food and the price!

What an amazing find! Used yelp to find some good food before making the long drive to our next…read morestop and this was along the way. The view alone is worth dining here. All I knew when looking this up is the food reviews were good. This just made the dining experience that much better. Plus the background music added peace of mind. Looking back this was my favorite restaurant of my three day trip. Our waitress was the only one catering to the 9/12? tables. She was quick, very helpful with our food questions, and clearly a return employee as I overheard her talking to a table of grandparents about the changes in menu from last year. Food, Delicious with a capital d! My date wanted to take home a thing of the cheese that was on my Flambée Maison. It was very enjoyable. We ordered the Smoked Local Whitefish after which in comparison to what we just had wasn't up to par but I cleaned the jar with my fork after all the toasties were gone. Dessert.... Hands down top two carrot cakes I have had. Crème Brûlée Cheesecake was on another level. Carrot cake is my go to but this cheesecake melted in my mouth and I couldn't get enough. I wanted to order two more and take them home but I rather make another trip up here down the road and live this expensive again! Enjoy!!
