I want to respond to SV who wrote. Complaints about staff are so off base. I have found our front…read moreoffice people to be friendly and responsive to our needs. They were the selling point and decision maker in my coming here to rent. As for rent, we would all like our rents lower. It is scary being on a fixed income and facing that uncertainty. The maintenance team has been very responsive when there is an issue. If my garbage disposal is a problem they come and fix it. They helped me search the parking lot and found something I had dropped and lost. They could have said they would keep an eye out and forgotten about it, but they did not. And in my conversations with other tenants, I have heard very few complaints, if any. I like the socials, the food truck events, and appreciate any activity that helps me meet other residents. The plus is its right by many restaurants and stores that you can walk to. We had a lot of issues with the apartment, dryer, sink, bugs, mold, and poor AC. I only lived there a year, and was sick constantly. For the price you pay, you can get a newer better apartments. Internet included with the rent was a plus.

Negative experience regarding the property manager: Nichole Duke. Our hvac unit was broken and…read morecorporate had to become involved. Nichole showed Matt from corporate an hvac unit that was not attached to our apartment and said that it worked perfectly fine. Meanwhile it was 85 degrees in our apartment. After contacting corporate a second time Jose was transparent and admitted that Nichole Duke showed Matt the wrong hvac unit, one that goes to a completely different apartment. Of course ours was the broken one and he had it fixed right away. Thank you Jose!!! Vandalism is a regular occurrence. The office always sends out an email requesting information after there has been vandalism (again very often.) The last time the property was vandalized by spray paint I had video footage. When I contacted the office with the information and footage they expressed anger at my response to their email and requested I no longer contact them even though I still live here. We are so relieved to be moving somewhere that will be safe, properly maintained, and where we can sleep at night without worrying about fires with my young child living on the third floor.

Living at The Vue in Westchester Commons was really special for us. We moved in during July 2020,…read moreat the beginning of the pandemic, and we just moved out this month (August 2024) to be closer to family in another state. We could have stayed forever. Whitney helped us find the perfect apartment. She walked us through the leasing process and everything we needed to know, especially since I was selling our house after 20 years. We chose a place right up front on the third floor. The balcony is HUGE and became an additional room for us with different holiday decorations throughout the year and a big area for comfortable seating. Maintenance is super-friendly and attentive to tenants' needs. After the first year, they felt like family to us, because they truly care. A few years ago, Michael solved a weather-related problem for us in five minutes. I was clueless what to do, and his simple fix lasted the remainder of our stay. The lobby, halls, and elevators are well-maintained. The views from the Sky Lounge and the swimming pool are beautiful. They offer a nice small gym and several gathering places throughout the two buildings. The Vue hosts monthly events with food, recreation opportunities, and contests that are truly amazing. There's a non-smoking policy which I appreciate, and last summer, there was even a little farmer's market in our parking lot. Plus, all of the excitement of Westchester Commons is at your fingertips. We had both groceries and DoorDash delivered frequently with ease. Our kitchen was huge and open with a deep sink and lots of cabinet space. I miss that already! The bathrooms and closets are gigantic, too. Everything feels safe and secure in the building. The mailroom and locker system is fantastic. Our neighbors are so kind. I had people holding doors open and offering to take my garbage bags outside for me on numerous occasions. Speaking of garbage, the Trash Fairies are worth their weight in gold. That system is amazing and worked so well for our needs. Things were quiet and well-lit, and we were generally in heaven throughout our four years. I must say that my favorite experience of all was getting to know the people who worked and lived at The Vue. I miss them already. They are family, too.

Beware that a couple of apartments literally have their GIANT illuminated sign right outside their windows. I can't even imagine living in those units! I hope they are heavily discounted.
