They were the selling point and decision maker in my coming here to rent. As for rent, we would all like our rents lower. It is scary being on a fixed income and facing that uncertainty. The maintenance team has been very responsive when there is an issue. If my garbage disposal is a problem they come and fix it. They helped me search the parking lot and found something I had dropped and lost. They could have said they would keep an eye out and forgotten about it, but they did not. And in my conversations with other tenants, I have heard very few complaints, if any. I like the socials, the food truck events, and appreciate any activity that helps me meet other residents. Do you enjoy being sick from mold and spending thousands of dollars to find out what's wrong with…read moreyou? Do you enjoy being lied to and told there's no problem and to just move out as if it's YOUR problem even after you have clear photos and had mold testing done? Do you enjoy a poorly maintained living space? Do you enjoy having no heat for 14 days during a snowstorm and full days below freezing and getting the runaround? If so, Water Pointe apartments are for you! Bonus points if you enjoy playing games. They'll do fun things like finally fix a broken crawlspace door and put a lock on it after you go in to take pictures of the nightmare below you that's making your apartment inhabitable from musty odor and mold -- this way you can't have anyone test it for proof. They will have zero concern over you or your child's rapidly declining health. They'll demand to run duct cleaning with microbial scrubbers days before mold air testing to falsify the results. When you serve them with papers for a lawsuit, they'll go in the crawlspace the next day to try to remove some of the evidence AND disturb even more mold while they do it and make you and your family even sicker. Send them photos of mold under your carpet that tests high for mold from a lab and they'll ask what you expect them to do, then just ignore you for weeks. They'll tell you after over a week of no heat in January that they picked up the part to fix your heat on a Friday evening and that they'll come by on Monday to fix it, because you know, it's the weekend (but then it's not fixed for five more days anyhow). Too bad for you -- they'll go home to their nice cozy homes. I could say so much more, but who wants to read a book -- you probably get the idea. I know of several others who have been forced to move out because of mold that they deny and they and their entire family have become very ill (both sections of the apartments). Take your chances with your life and move here. It'll be quite the adventure.

Whether it's the thick concrete walls or the preponderance of residents studying/working with VCU Heath, the noisiest I have ever heard it was hearing what sounded faintly like music in the far distance. Cons... Actually I'm struggling to think of cons that haven't been addressed, but if you see these in old reviews, know they've gotten better. Pet droppings: noticed a few times the first couple years, haven't personally seen any for at least 2 years Pool: initial furniture wasn't comfortable, current furniture is great. Even if one umbrella broke. It also used to regularly turn green, but the management finally seems to be on top of that this year! Hasn't turned green yet once *crosses fingers to not jinx it* Pool again: we had sad little electric grills that kept breaking, but finally got some nice gas grills in 2024 that are still working great

I have been here nearly since it's opening for around 2.5 years thus far and have watched its tremendous growth. At the core the management team is stellar and truly love their jobs! Chesley and Ashley lead an awesome team that is responsive, kind and reliable. The apartments are modern industrial. The amenities (two story gym, rooftop pool with lounge area, coffee station, gated garage) are all excellent. During my stay here they have made positive changes: there's a security desk now, lock box for packages, property manager is in the actual residential building, garage is secured/locked with access card, elevators have easy-to-clean wood floor instead of carpet. Check this place out and look no further!

The package concierge service is very helpful for residents who work days and don't want packages left at their doors. And the trash pick-up service four nights a week is really with the $25/month. The mixture of 55+ and children is a plus for me; I enjoy having the children around. I also enjoy the multi-ethnic residents. The neighbors above me are constantly loud all throughout the day starting from 6 AM as late as 1 AM and it is seriously enraging. I have complained about this to management multiple times, submitted audio recordings, and they have literally done nothing! I have tried to talk with the neighbors directly but they refused to answer the door and had to leave letters as well as my cell phone number so that we can discuss this issue. Nothing has seem to be working and unfortunately I am forced to move out of an apartment that I absolutely loved. I felt that it would be my due diligence to warn anyone who is coming to be aware of living here as you will be dealing with some incredibly loud and inconsiderate neighbors. Don't say I didn't warn you. On the other hand maintenance is wonderful and that's about it.

Included garage parking was another great perk. Internet is also included in rent, but it is rather slow and very difficult to stream anything. Noise from neighbors is about what you would expect in any apartment, and I was fortunate to live around people who kept their noise to a reasonable level. Street noise from the neighboring apartment building can be an issue if you live on that side of the building though. Some residents at Link let their animals urinate in the elevators, and do not clean up after them. Many days the elevators smell like stale pet urine. Location wise: I enjoyed being close to downtown and you can easily walk to the river. I did not like that Manchester does not have a grocery store or many decent food options, so that was rather inconvenient. But there is a brewery, pizza place, and Subway all within walking distance. The office staff (Shayla) and maintenance are always pleasant and kind, and maintenance is very quick to respond to work orders. Overall, I found Link to be a reasonably priced city apartment with enjoyable features and amenities.
