Apparently they accidently used an old rope to lower a large section of the tree down and it broke. They almost even crushed one of their own guys. They repaired my shed and my neighbors fence. They ended up giving me a discount because of the damage and when I attempted to use a coupon in a local mailer they wouldn't accept it. They said they already gave me a discount because of the damage. I'm not too picky about my property, but if you think these guys are going to come in and not put vehicle marks all over your lawn or crack your driveway with heavy equipment you are wrong. No big deal for me, but I know some people are crazy about that sort of thing. Thankfully I don't have any trees left on my property and so I won't need to use any tree service company again.

I've never had a green thumb or a green anything. My house is surrounded by trees and that…read moresometimes can be bad if you don't know how to take care of them. So...who did I call? Rick's Tree Service is one of the best around. They were reliable, came out when they said they would and met me at a time that was good for me. The gentleman who came out to inspect the trees was very helpful pointing out what I needed to do to maintain the forest that surrounded my house. Unfortunately, one of the trees was dying and because of the way it was leaning, he recommended that it be taken down. The tree came down within a day and the stump was ground to provide enough mulch for the other shrubs and plants in the front of my house. This was all done at a very reasonable price. I had received estimates from other tree companies and Rick's was definitely the lowest. They even came back a day later to make sure that they hadn't left anything and that I was satisfied with the job. I was so impressed with them that I use them all the time now for maintaining the greenery and inspecting the trees on the property. They are able to cut back trees and limbs that are close to utility lines and other types of structures; they can remove broken limbs; inspect for damage to root structure and provide nutrients and hydration to all your trees. No tree is too big or too small for these guys.

Absolutely the best tree service! I have been using Chris and his team for over 10 years for…read moreeverything from grand scale tree removal to planting trees/bushes and regular tree maintenance. They are experts and do it the right way-no short cuts nor lazy way jobs. Arader is honest, will work with you on design and implantation and does a nice job. I had one huge job to take down two massive white pines in my yard that were diseased. Although I knew that I would go with Arader, I got three quotes. One tree company said the job was too big and they couldn't do it. The other company would have to use a bucket truck and go on my neighbor's lawn with the truck thus causing neighbor headaches, etc. Arader said no problem with the job & no need to go on my neighbor's property. I came home and you never would have known there were two huge trees there, or they were just cut down! P.S. the replacement trees they put in are beautiful & perfect for the spot!

I scheduled an estimate with Arader Tree service on 8/20 for 9/10. Three weeks out was the best…read morethey could do, and fine, it's a busy season for arborists. The appointment on 9/10 comes and goes and no one shows up. After an hour of waiting-- I've made plans to work from home and be available for when this is scheduled-- I call their office to see what the delay is. I'm told that due to staffing changes, this appointment has fallen through the cracks, but they'll arrange to send someone out. No one comes and I receive no call. When I call again at the close of business, I'm told that no one with the authority to reschedule is available and they will call me the next day with a new appointment time.  This dance continues over the course of the following week, over which period I call no less than five times. Several times I am promised a return call from Chris Arader himself, which never happens. I even call at a time I am assured he will be in the office, and when I do, he is not.  What the heck? This sort of behavior, while not uncommon, is tedious and unprofessional. It's particularly frustrating in this situation given the limited season (optimally) for tree pruning. I contacted Arader based on a recommendation as I was very disappointed.
