Wow. Great service. Fantastic dental care. 5 stars!…read more I first came to Deering Dental in January 2025 for a cleaning. The girls at the front desk--Maria, Jailene, and Keylin are very nice. They offered complimentary amenities! Not basic stuff either First time I've ever had this level of service at a dentist, or any doctor. Erys was my hygienist. He was kind and explained everything to me. You can watch Netflix, Hulu, etc while waiting. You have your own dedicated TV. Dr. Villena saw me and put together a good plan for needed dental work. They have special technology to visualize bacteria attacking the teeth; the tech shows tooth health at each layer. Deering Dental is superior to a typical dental office. Very impressed. Flexible pricing with a discount for paying up front, in full. At the end, they gave me a welcome package. Including great dental products and my choice of a gift card The package is easily worth $50+. They offer this to their new customers. I was supposed to be seen in July. I needed to expedite my dental plan due to a filling from a (good) prior dentist coming out recently. I came in on June 9th for an evaluation. Velma--another hygienist--was thorough and nice. She and Dr. Pinto explained the urgency of my situation. They gave me specialized products to get my oral health back on track. Today, Dr. Pinto and Velma saved my wisdom tooth. They showed me how close I was to needing a root canal. I avoided it. I'm so grateful. The entire staff is great. This is how medicine should be practiced. Thank you Deering Dental!

A private dental practice has the right to establish reasonable administrative policies; however,…read morethose policies do not automatically become legal requirements. A dental office cannot misrepresent an internal procedure as something "required by Florida law" when no such legal requirement exists. Florida statutes shows that dentists are required to maintain appropriate patient records and safeguard the confidentiality of patient information. Specifically, Chapter 466, Florida Statutes (Dentistry), and Section 456.057, Florida Statutes (Patient Records), establish requirements regarding the maintenance, ownership, control, and confidentiality of dental records; however, they do NOT contain any provision requiring a dental office to photocopy a patient's government-issued identification or capture a patient's facial photograph as a prerequisite for receiving routine dental treatment. Additionally, under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), healthcare providers are required to protect the privacy and security of patients' protected health information (PHI) and limit the use and disclosure of such information to permitted purposes. HIPAA does not impose a blanket requirement that dental practices collect copies of government-issued IDs or biometric information, such as facial photographs, from patients. Therefore, when a dental practice requests such information, it should be understood as an internal administrative policy--not a federal or Florida legal mandate--and patients have the right to make informed decisions about their own personal information. If a request--such as photocopying a government-issued ID or capturing a facial photograph--is not required by Florida law, the patient has the right to deny the request. Healthcare providers should not create unnecessary barriers to accessing care through arbitrary or excessive administrative demands, especially when a patient is seeking a consultation or treatment and is paying directly out of pocket. A patient's decision not to provide information that is not legally required should not be treated as a lack of cooperation or used as a pretext to deny access to dental services. Transparency, respect for privacy, and patient autonomy are fundamental principles of healthcare. Administrative convenience should never override a patient's right to understand what information is truly necessary and what is merely a discretionary office policy.

He is not only an excellent dentist, he truly does care about his patients. When you meet with him, you immediately know he'll do what he can for your teeth. One of the biggest issues in any dental office is the office staff, who are often irritable and nasty, mostly because often it's the dentist's wife and she doesn't want to be there. Dr. Gallardo and his staff do not cease to amaze me! I've been a patient of his for over 5 years,…read moreand the great impression I got then has continued to amaze me to this day. Late last year, I made an appointment for a cleaning, having had my last one 6 months prior to the lockdown. For a person who brushes her teeth after every meal and flosses twice a day, I was surprised to learn that due to not having gone for a cleaning for two years, my gums needed a much needed deeper cleaning. That's when I began a periodontal/gum screening/oral hygiene fitness plan, that included 5 visits in a span of 3 months. Danny, the hygienist who took care of me, handled my mouth with extreme care and explained the details of all the procedures before during and after treatment which I appreciated very much. The first visit entailed having my gum's depth measured throughout my mouth, a super deep cleaning with a local anesthetic and laughing gas (I did not feel a thing and felt rather nice actually). Other tests were done and sent to the lab to check thoroughly. That day I went home with a brand new Philips electric toothbrush, a Waterflosser Water Pic, several bottles of oral irrigators, floss, etc. so I too, could tackle those hard-to-reach crevices in and around each and every tooth and molar at home. It was all included in their extremely competitive flat fee. At each visit, Danny once again measured the depth of my gums around each tooth, gave me a deep cleaning and an Oral Hygiene Fitness Report that reflected the improvements. All my visits were pain-free, educational and left me with freshly cleaned teeth and gums and it showed :) Today was my last visit. After the cleaning, I felt squeaky-clean and accomplished, especially receiving an "A+" for the progress and my at-home efforts. Dr. Gallardo and his staff not only treat you with respect and like family, but they make sure the experience with their state-of-the-art equipment, is smooth and pain-free.
