I brought in an older machine (new to me). It's a very good quality Pfaff. They told me it was "not repairable" "too much rust" and twice suggested I sell it for scrap. Fortunately I knew this machine was too good to give up on it. I found a different service person, and got it fully functional in a week, with no parts needed (except a bobbin part.) It would have been a crime to sell this machine for scrap. They clearly don't have the best repair people at all. read more

My sewing machine needed a "tune up" desperately. Called for an appointment, dropped it off(outside table for no contact), took my ticket and was done. 4 days later-picked it up(same process of ringing bell and they brought to outside table). My machine just purrs now. read more

I cannot review this company for anything other than what I have experienced. I took my older Singer to have it repaired to Creative Sewing Center. The sales people were very polite and filled out a ticket. They called me several days later to tell me that the machine needed a gear that they were unable to get and so it was unfixable. That just didn't seem right to me because if you look at many older machines of varying models, they all look pretty much the same. I looked up an independent sewing machine repair company and brought the machine there. He opened the machine to look at it when I brought it in. The repairman had the gear he thought that I needed in his shop right then. No need to send for a part or anything. He told me one week for the repair and he called me in one week. I now have the machine back good as new. Do the thousands of dollars of new machines in this shop skew the ability of the shop to repair older machines? Try David Stiff Sewing Machine repair in Maplewood. He has a great Better Business Bureau rating and years of experience. I would not bring an older machine to Creative Sewing Center Roseville. (Also, my bobbin case was chipped when David opened my machine. I am positive that it was not when I brought it in to Creative Sewing Center. It is a more pricey part???) read more

I needed a repair during covid and only creative sewing could take and repair it. they said 3 weeks but it took at least twice that time and they never called me and seemed to resent my calling to follow up. then I got the machine home and they had broken (literally bent) the top tension knob. I took the machine to Valley West and they put in a new part on the spot. Will never go to Creative Sewing again. read more

Does anyone know of someone who can repair sewing machines? Took my machine to the Apple Valley location, paid alot of money for the repairs, thought it was fixed but it started acting up right away! If they could not fix it they should have told me that, not cleaned it, told me they fixed it and over charged for their services. They were also talking bad about another place (which I knew can't fix machines) while I was there. I guess they should not throw stones since they also don't know what they are doing!! read more

Thank you to Dianne and Cathy who saved the day- getting to the bottom of my machine's problem stitches on the spot (10 minutes of testing on my canvas) saving me a machine service and the two weeks time. Being in a business where I depend on the sewing machine, it saved me enormous stress to be able to work again fast. I am grateful for their help and found out there was a top stitching needle to boot which I accidentally forgot and they mailed! read more

The owner charges higher prices on machines than just about anywhere else in the country. Call around, you will see. They say they charge what the market will bear and since there is no competition in the metro area, they gouge you. Drive an hour and get much better prices and fantastic customer service. Creative sewing does not value its customers. I bought a machine from them that was supposedly a demo. I found out later it was 6 years old and had over 4 million stitches on it. Not quite what I was told. Very dishonest. They also did a "tune up" on my machine. Another service place said they had not done a good job and they screwed up my needle placement which would have caused problems. Fortunately, I traded it in. Please take my advice and go anywhere else. Trust me, it's worth a little extra drive. read more

I went to the Roseville location looking for a specific foot for my sewing machine. The woman who was there on 12/7/15 in the afternoon was very rude; not even bothering to look up from her sewing to speak to me. She sharply informed me that she did not have what I needed; without once looking up or checking her inventory. While she did offer to order what I was looking for, I would prefer to order myself so as not to support this shop. Too bad as I was also looking for a long arm sewing machine and she could have made quite a bit of money from my sales. What a disappointment. I loved the ladies in the Minnetonka shop. I will never shop the Roseville location again. read more

DO NOT USE, THEIR SERVICE CENTER, they are dishonest. Creative sewing center sent my bernina to their service center. After they told me they could not fix it because they could not get the part(s), they offered to sell me a new foot pedal, the foot pedal was fine when I took it in. They pried it open and it looks like they took an egg beater to the insides. Repeat...The foot pedal was fine when I took it in, but I could give then $300.00 for a new foot pedal. B.S. read more

I have found the employees at Creative Sewing so helpful in learning about sewing on my Brother's machine. I've had a few glitches and they are eager and willing to share their expertise. I am looking forward to taking classes at the Roseville location. I wish the classes were publicized better. read more

My experience with these folks is first rate. Prompt response when I had trouble with a certain mechanism in my new Brother machine that needed attention. It was under warranty, so the bill was $0. I believe they know how to repair machines, at least the ones they carry. read more
