I have been with one of Hawaii's top stylist for over 20 years and boy oh boy was it hard to switch but I did it and I am SO happy I did!! I mean come on ladies.. it's our hair!!!! We don't just trust anyone to touch it right? Tough to find a good stylist at reasonable prices. Sheri was almost half the price I was paying and I got personal service the entire time I was there. She had no other appointments being juggled around me, no pushing me to some dryer in the corner for 45 minutes while she worked on another client, no passing me off to an "assistant" while she worked on yet again another person.. Just me and her and it was great! I LOVE SHERI! She works in this cute little salon and even though I live on the West side, the drive to Kailua is well worth it! I learned Sheri has over 20 years experience doing hair in LA so she is up on all of the styles and trends that are the "in" right now. I looked great with my "beach waves" when I left. COVID reassurances: I have to say that her small studio felt super clean and sanitized. I like that it is not a huge salon with tons of people coming and going. Yes, you will have to wear a mask, yes you will have to take your temperature and fill out a small form but that is common everywhere now. Sheri will wear a mask the entire time. As I was leaving she was already sanitizing everything top to bottom for the next person. Parking: NO problem! This looks to be a house that was converted to retail space. So there are spaces right on property to park. I can not recommend her highly enough. I will for sure be back! If you have questions on colors and cuts just call her!!! Unpleasant experience with manager…read more I went to this salon to get blonde highlights. The last time I saw Amber, she did a good job and I was happy with the result. This time, I asked for more blonde streaks or "ribbons," but the result had very little visible blonde. It looked nothing like what I requested or what I had received previously. I called to have it fixed and was told I first needed to come in for a consultation with the manager, Gizelle. I went in and Gizelle spent 20 minutes telling me that I had not communicated my request for blonde highlights correctly. She insisted on placing the blame on me, even when I reminded her that Amber had no trouble understanding my request for blonde highlights on the previous visit. The interaction felt confrontational rather than helpful. I did receive a refund, but the overall experience was frustrating and disappointing. I also noticed another review here describing an unpleasant experience with Gizelle. Based on this experience, I would be cautious--not just about the consistency of the color work, but especially how customer concerns are handled by management.

Their website made it super easy to book, I put in the comments that I want to donate my hair and Candie messaged me back to confirm and just to bring something to put it in. It is located BEHIND the gated area of The Boardroom. You feel like you're walking into the restaurant, but it is a little area behind the outdoor seating. It took me a minute to find, I walked along the corner and my GPS kept saying I had arrived. Luckily I called and their VM had a clear description of the location. Candie was so sweet and lovely to talk to. She cut my hair just the way I wanted, and I appreciated that she was efficient. She offered to style it more to look cute, and if I had plans, I totally would, but I was just going home afterwards. She made sure to chop it all off at a clean break, so it was easy to wrap up and donate. She told me to contact her about maintaining it and that it wouldn't take long. As a new mom to a 2 month old baby, I wanted a haircut to feel a little bit more like myself. I brought my son because I have no childcare. He is a very chill baby and sat in his bouncer the entire time. First, I was told that I could not eat my lunch inside and had to step out to eat. This was a surprise - I'm breastfeeding and literally starving all the time so this was a concern. Toward the end of the appointment, my son started crying because he had a dirty diaper. I went to change him on the floor in the waiting room area and another stylist yelled across the salon, "excuse me." I didn't realize she was talking to me. She came over and told me I couldn't change him in here but I had to change him outside to not ruin other's experience. Look, I get it. Baby poop stinks; however, I was going to take it with me and I was literally a new mom in a room full of women who judged and made my life harder instead of supporting me. I left in tears. Also, the parking spots directly in front of the establishment are designated as "employee only" instead of customer. I had to park down the street. I brought my wagon to carry my son's bouncer and received dirty looks for that too. As a woman owned business, do better.
