I cannot give enough Kudo-inspired stars to the support, both career oriented and moral, that Mary provided to me in some....well, really dark and scary times. Mary did not have a great deal of inventory in terms of available positioning when she and I first interviewed, but did get me in the door for an interview to one of her longer standing clients right away. I interviewed for the job and had been asked to give Mary a call after doing so. It just so happened that Mary had spoken with the client just 2 minutes after I had walked out of the interviewers' door. I was excitedly informed I had the job! The real clincher for Mary's praise parade is that after she and this client had negotiated a specific rate, she went back to the client to try and raise that rate based on the expectations expressed during my interview! She went to bat for me at the risk of damaging the relationship with her client, AND WON! I do not know what the current inventory of available positions are available today as they can change daily at Oasis, but I highly recommend if in the market for a job here in Jax, and you are considering going to a staffing agency for a temp or perm gig, give Mary a call. If she has any available client openings, she definitely will do whatever she can in her power to get your foot into their door. Based all of Mary's efforts on my behalf, it simply should be stated that Mary is a complete and utter ROCKSTAR in my book!

Shauna was quick to return my email/call and we quickly set up a time to meet. I drove to their office, met with Shauna, had a wonderful conversation about placement possibilities, and thought things went very well. She even offered to call my former employer to see the type of reference they would give me if future employers called. Shauna was supposed to get back with me within a few days, but also stated that if I hadn't heard from her, to reach back out after the weekend had passed. I did not hear from her so I emailed. After getting no response, I called and left her a message at the office. Once again, several days went by and I received no callback. I called her direct number once again and she answered. Only stated that it was not herself and that Shauna was actually in a meeting and would return my call in ten-20 minutes. Maybe I am wrong and it was not Shauna, but the voice sounded the same, and it was her direct extension. Needless to say, 10-20 minutes have gone by, adding a couple of WEEKS, and I have yet to hear back from anyone about any position, let alone the reference check. This morning I sent Shauna another email clearly, but professionally communicating my dissappointment in her lack of communication. I also let her know that reaching out to staffing agencies isn't always the easiest thing to do, and that she has a very importnant job when it comes to helping people. I hope no one else is treated this way, because searching for a job is stressful and the last thing anyone needs is added worry from the people who are supposed to help. K

We had several contractors come by and give us a quote. We settled on Archaic Design. Russell come over took measurements and explained the process from start to finish. His craftsmanship and attention to detail are outstanding. His costs are very very reasonable and affordable. We were very pleased with the counter top and back splash and decided then and there if ever we needed any granite counter tops we would call Archaic Design.

Russel Martin and the folks at Archaic Design did an amazing job from start to finish helping us…read moreselect and install new granite kitchen countertops and a complex bar area. Our kitchen was a 1980's builders special disaster with walls and vast counters that were unbelievably crooked and unlevel. For an excellent price and value that far beat out the big box stores and other well known local granite shops, Russel and his team helped us artistically pick out the exact slab at a large independent local granite yard, got us a great granite price, meticulously templated a tough kitchen, and even gave us a great deal on the undermount designer sink and 10+ year Stone Enhancer Sealant! We also weren't forced to pick out a slab from some limited selection that Archaic Design owned to get a competitive price. We previously had other granite and quartz counters installed in bathrooms by another local company that advertises granite specials a lot. I can tell you....Archaic Design did an installation and fabrication job that was light-years better for a much better price. It must be because Archaic Design, Russel and his crew design and build kitchens from the ground up and are building contractors...because they were able to do wall corrections, bracketing and exceptional install craftsmanship that NO big box store or basic granite fabricator around would have been able to tackle. AND there was no extra charge! Archaic Design didn't nickel and dime us to death, over inflate the measurements, or try to bait and switch us on price. Archaic Design's quoted price was our final price! ALSO .. We quickly realized how critical it is even if you are changing just counter tops to have someone like Russel and his kitchen building crew install the countertops to make sure that the proper structural modifications, leveling, rod and bracketing etc. are done during the install. As for the granite slab cutting and polishing work itself -- It was exceptional and I'm picky. There is a big, high-end difference in the edge detail and polishing that was immediately noticeable....yet at an extremely budget friendly price. I'm pretty sure that Archaic design is the ONLY full granite fabrication facility that also has a complete kitchen design and contracting operation -- which seems to give them exceptional 'know how'. Bottom line: Would highly recommend giving Russel and his crew a call and having them tackle a countertop, backsplash or kitchen/bathroom project. They immediately returned our calls and texts, and always answered all of our questions anytime. Russel and team were committed to excellence, service and high quality for a great price. They made us very satisfied customers -- Our friends and neighbors can't believe the kitchen transformation and the difference Archaic's new countertops made for what we spent!
