Times are tough all over and I myself have not been immune to economic change. I cannot give enough Kudo-inspired stars to the support, both career oriented and moral, that Mary provided to me in some....well, really dark and scary times. Mary did not have a great deal of inventory in terms of available positioning when she and I first interviewed, but did get me in the door for an interview to one of her longer standing clients right away. I interviewed for the job and had been asked to give Mary a call after doing so. It just so happened that Mary had spoken with the client just 2 minutes after I had walked out of the interviewers' door. I was excitedly informed I had the job! The real clincher for Mary's praise parade is that after she and this client had negotiated a specific rate, she went back to the client to try and raise that rate based on the expectations expressed during my interview! She went to bat for me at the risk of damaging the relationship with her client, AND WON! I do not know what the current inventory of available positions are available today as they can change daily at Oasis, but I highly recommend if in the market for a job here in Jax, and you are considering going to a staffing agency for a temp or perm gig, give Mary a call. If she has any available client openings, she definitely will do whatever she can in her power to get your foot into their door. Based all of Mary's efforts on my behalf, it simply should be stated that Mary is a complete and utter ROCKSTAR in my book!

Shauna was quick to return my email/call and we quickly set up a time to meet. I drove to their office, met with Shauna, had a wonderful conversation about placement possibilities, and thought things went very well. She even offered to call my former employer to see the type of reference they would give me if future employers called. Shauna was supposed to get back with me within a few days, but also stated that if I hadn't heard from her, to reach back out after the weekend had passed. I did not hear from her so I emailed. After getting no response, I called and left her a message at the office. Once again, several days went by and I received no callback. I called her direct number once again and she answered. Only stated that it was not herself and that Shauna was actually in a meeting and would return my call in ten-20 minutes. Maybe I am wrong and it was not Shauna, but the voice sounded the same, and it was her direct extension. Needless to say, 10-20 minutes have gone by, adding a couple of WEEKS, and I have yet to hear back from anyone about any position, let alone the reference check. This morning I sent Shauna another email clearly, but professionally communicating my dissappointment in her lack of communication. I also let her know that reaching out to staffing agencies isn't always the easiest thing to do, and that she has a very importnant job when it comes to helping people. I hope no one else is treated this way, because searching for a job is stressful and the last thing anyone needs is added worry from the people who are supposed to help. K
