I bought 2 living social coupons for Creative Parties. My college friend recommended the living social coupon to me since she knew I was planning my engagement party. I work in Falls Church, VA, so driving up to Bethesda after work was not easy. Each time, I had to leave work early in order to get to the store before they close. You would think if I had 2 coupons the store would allow me to make 2 transactions in one visit but they actually made me come in 2 days in a row bc the rules stated that one coupon could be used per visit. After purchasing the invitations, I realized that printing would be difficult. I returned to the store for a third visit to purchase their printing services for the invitations. My fiance and I sat down with the store employee and we wrote down exactly what we wanted on the invitation. You would think this would be simple and they would print out exactly what I wanted on the invitation. She informed me that I would be emailed a proof "next week" and the invitations would be ready shortly after. You would think that you would hear from them within 48 hours (business days of course). On Wednesday I still didn't hear from them. On Thursday, they emailed me a proof. I checked on my iphone for the design but didn't double check all the wording since we sat down with the store employee and wrote down exactly what we wanted on the invitation. We drove up to NY and I showed my in-laws and noticed that instead of printing out Saturday they had printed out Sunday. I was so confused because 04 August is a Saturday and I wrote down exactly what I wanted on the invitation. I ended up having to repay the amount for the invitations. On top of that, I ordered 40 invitations and since they made another mistake, I only got back 39. They did not apologize. If you're planning any special event, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM. They are not timely and they do not meet basic customer satisfaction like giving you back what you order. I am so glad that I ONLY ordered engagement party invitations from them & nothing more. From the first time I first went in their store, it took me a month to get the correct invitations. VERY UNHAPPY WITH THEM & WOULDN'T WANT ANYONE TO DEAL WITH WHAT I DID. read more

She worked patiently with us for four hours as we poured over invitation designs and discussed details at length. She addressed all of our questions and made it a pleasant experience. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I recently ordered my save the dates for our wedding coming up in September. When my fiancee and I decided on the design the girl told us that we would be receiving a proof in a day or two. 1 WEEK later the proof arrived. I sent in our request for updates and the girl responded that what I was wanting wasn't etiquette and if it was HER wedding she would recommend something else (which she provided in her email). After dealing with that correspondence I received the updated proof three days later form a different woman who I never had dealt with. I sent in my updates AGAIN because there were some more errors. This cycle went on for another two weeks and in total I deallt with three different women and went through about 6 proofs! Once we made the final approval the save the dates were sent for printing. Two weeks later they arrived at the store and I received a call from the manager. I was in shock that they arrived to the store since I specificlaly asked them to be SHIPPED to Mother who is out of state. The manager told me that they would have to expedite them then since they were delivered to the store and that I would be charged. Once shipped and Save the Dates sent I called the owner. I explained my frustrations and dissapointment and told her that I would not be using them for my invitations. She responded with "YOU ARE MAKING THE BIGGEST MISTAKE!" 4 MONTHS LATER I RECEIVED A NOTE from creative parties.... It stated the following "Sorry for the DELAY We've charged the balance for the save-the-date." I am so happy I went to the Dandelion Patch after this experience. read more

I am a bride to be married on August 11, 2013 and due to the death of my mom on February 25, 2013 our plans have had to take a back seat, while I am still mourning over her loss, I researched who could help me out on such short notice and I ran into Creative Parties in Bethesda, MD. Our initial meeting was great until Marci promised to get back to me on the following Tuesday which came and left so did Wednesday and Thursday, till finally I had to reach out to them to find out what is going on with my invitations since they were promised to us from the Tuesday, then Marci emailed me and apologized and I thought it was great and I accepted her apology because I too wanted my invitations, then she emailed me with a few changes which i approved and now they were ready for me on Monday, due to the changes being made now the invitations are going to be ready now over almost two weeks of waiting, I was promised that someone would contact me on the Wednesday for pick, Wednesday came and left and so did Thursday and Friday finally I decided to call yet again because by this time, I am livid that this wonderful staff I thought, were unresponsive and unprofessional in call backs, after someone finally contacted me they apologized repeatedly yet again and at this point I thought, I dont want them or feel comfortable doing business with them any longer, because now Marci who was my original contact, was not trying to contact me for the 2nd mess up of the store itself. Creative Parties have now called me to say the 3 weeks later the job is finished and they will not give my deposit back, though at this time I have made it clear that I no longer wish for them to finish any thing due to their lack of valuable customer service and unprofessional demeanor. I would NEVER recommend anyone to them. and they get ZERO as a review rating! read more

This review is long overdue, but better late than never. My husband and I got married in the early summer of 2016, and in short, creative parties is among the primary reasons our wedding turned out beautifully and why the process went so smoothly. My aunt recommended I see Tracy Bloom at CP since my aunt had used their services for many types of parties, and it was the best decision I made. Tracy is a pro, plain and simple, and, even though she has many clients, took the time to explain things to me and answer all questions I had, including those having to do with protocol. The quality of their products are amazing and the store, itself, has very unique items for whatever party you're throwing. While I originally went to the store to have them do my invitations only, I ended up using their services for other things as well (i.e. place cards, etc.). What I anticipated to be a somewhat stressful process ended up being anything but, and I thank Tracy and her team for that. Outstanding Service = The Most Amazing 50th Birthday Party! I simply can't say enough about my positive experience with Creative Parties. I have purchased stationery from Creative Parties for years but this was the first time I ordered party invitations. When it came to making plans for my 50th Birthday (hosted by my husband), I wanted a special evening. Thankfully, in working with Tracy and her team, that's exactly what I got! I consulted with her early on and Tracy provided great suggestions to me on invitation timing, venues, save-the-dates for out-of-towners, etc. My invitations from Creative Parties were gorgeous and provided a great backdrop and theme for the party. When it came to the party itself, Tracy was so knowledgeable in helping me identify a band for music and a bakery for the cake! Her team provided fun cocktail napkins and even place cards that also tied in the theme. Her advice throughout was spot on! It was a perfect night and an incredible memory. Thank you, Tracy!
