FedEx drop point in Office Depot on Carl D Silver: Just a FedEx drop-off point, but they do NOT…read moreaccept electronics boxed up; even with the box already labeled to ship out. The attendant for the "FedEx" area was helpful, but he was quite terse, telling me they don't ship for FedEx. So I lifted up their small FedEx sign to show that they do in fact ship for FedEx. He remained terse, asking with a chip on his shoulder, "what's in the box?". At which point I then replied, " an electronic". So he then told me to "read the sign", without even looking at me. I said "excuse me?" because he initially mumbled it at first. But the second time, he made sure he was loud enough to understand. The FedEx sign states that this location does not accept electronics, such as phones and batteries. Overall, for FedEx drops, I recommend avoiding this location because it is not worth the hassle. The employee could have been more professional, pleasant, and polite, and the FedEx "rules" for this location, make it an inconvenient, less than ideal drop off location.

Since I moved to Fredericksburg last summer, I have been in this store twice. Both times were a…read morebad experience. Store looks 100 years old, computers/cash registers are 1990's slow computers. Today the person in the printing area was just plain rude. I'm not going to go into all the details, but the other customer and I were at a loss for words with his actions. I spoke with the store manager and the expressionless conversation with him didn't add any faith in the store. The store manager ended up helping me out with what I needed done. After everything was done, the manager walked off to another area. He was standing right next to the rude employee, there were other customers, he didn't check in with him to see if he needed anything. I assume the whole rudeness to customers is going to be ignored. I don't expect him to correct him in front of customers, that would be wrong. But by walking off and not even checking in with him and seeing if he needs help tells me that the manager is not invested in the store and pretty much re-enforced bad behavior is acceptable.

Let me start off by saying I was very impressed on what this establishment is doing for vaccinated…read moreindividuals!. I got my second dose of the Moderna vaccine a few days ago and I said to myself ' the first thing I do is get my CDC vaccination card laminated'!!.. I walked into the store waited a couple of minutes behind another customer and was greeted by a polite employee,I told him I would like to have my card vaccinated and he told me they would make a copy of the original and return it to me and only laminate the copy. In which I thought was a great idea to carry around the laminated duplicate and leave the original at home with my other important documents, just in case I misplaced it I could always make another copy which in my opinion is great for anyone!. Oh wait don't go nowhere yet,I'm not finished with this review yet, hold on because he comes the best part my friends. After everything was said and done with the lamination of my vaccine card, can you believe it's free of charge, that's right I said it it's free you read correctly!!.. so when ( hopefully you all do ) get vaccinated take your card to OfficeMax and have them compliment you for free!.

This is a typical chain office supply store. Recently, Office Depot acquired OfficeMax. OfficeMax…read morePerks (their reward card) still works and, like Office Depot's, is still free. I'm not sure how they're dealing with points, though. This location is never very busy, always well staffed, always well stocked and always clean (so many superlatives)! Their prices aren't always the best, though. I highly recommend comparison shopping and taking advantage of their price-matching scheme. I've used their printing services. I recommend calling to follow up and make sure that they got the order. However, if they have questions or recommendations, they're pretty good about calling the customer to verify orders and suggest improvements. I've been no less than satisfied and often delighted with my results when I've used them. They're located in Harbour View East shopping plaza, right off of exit 8 (I-664). They're right between Bed, Bath, & Beyond and TJMaxx. There's always plenty of parking (even during the holidays.... Shhhhh!).

This will likely be the rare retail review I ever write due to career bias…read more.. However, this Staples is local to my parents in which case I've frequented for random one off needs for likely 15 years in whims. Even amid all the challenges retail is currently facing, this location continues to feel consistent and uninterrupted with how they operate. Inventory, staffing levels, and team morale appear pretty unchanged, which is of course a big win. With that covered, I want to talk specifically about the staff and the UPS/Print Center where the majority of my interaction takes place. The team is always super friendly and personable, appear to enjoy doing what they do, and are really helpful. This particular visit was very difficult on an emotional level due to a family emergency. The team at the photo shop delivered in an exceptional manner doing everything they could to help me with a print need with an extremely short window of time to work with. They were empathetic, efficient, and exceeded expectations. I unfortunately can't recall the young ladies name that assisted, but Steve is who called and left my voicemail. Both - Wonderful! If anyone from the location reads this, I cannot thank the team enough for this emotional delivery.

Here's a store that is circling the drain. Obviously no one cares. Most of the items on the shelves…read moredont have prices and the sales signs point to things that, it turns out, arent on sale. Having no idea what the prices of things were, I put items into my cart that were underneath sales sales. One said "50% off if you buy 5 or more." I bought 10, and the register rang up $80!!!! "Oh no, they arent on sale." So I disacarded that scam! Another item showed a PRICE in big red numbers, w a small "each when you buy 2or more. Down the aisle, same item (I checked the sku), the listed price in red was $1 less. Why? Oh... you have to purchase something else to get that price. So there is no "real" price. Everything is tied in a scam. I'm tired of the gimmicks and the misunderstandings. I just want to buy something. Goodbye Staples, we wont miss you and your attitude.
