Very nice, very professional and very efficient. I can't stress enough just how precise and meticulous the work was. As an added bonus, Kim helped me pick colors and make design choices that really made my home look the way I wanted. They have a really good eye. They patched several holes and dings in the walls and fixed some chewed up trim from dog damage. Now I want to get the upstairs painted! In terms of communication, they were excellent. Very prompt reply (we're talking a matter of hours after I first reached out to them). Any decisions made during the project were quick. They were always reachable by phone. There were several annoying little problems that they also addressed in the course of the job (broken light switch, busted knob). They fixed everything they encountered which was a real relief to me. I can't say enough. Extremely happy with the quality of work as well as the speed! Will definitely hire them again!

Never ever can I recommend this business. Browns did our flooring for our new house last fall. I…read morewas first concerned with the lack of communication leading up to the installation, which was on a fairly tight schedule. Greg was hard to get a hold of, did not relay critical information to our contractor, and ultimately ended up starting almost a month later than initially planned. After installation, the white oak floors looked beautiful. However, after another 2 months passed, the floors on the lower level started cupping. They were installed over sleepers on top of a concrete floor. Similar to the first review - it appears that Greg did not check the moisture before starting. A few months after that - the floors began buckling because once installed they went too tight to the wall and left no room for natural expansion (the buckling was measured at 4.5"!!! Not exaggerating). This is flooring installation 101! I have no idea how they missed this. We ultimately had to replace the floors, and Greg was unresponsive. Nowhere to be found. Our contractor contacted the flooring manufacturer, who stated that the product quoted and installed on the lower level was not specified for concrete, and told us they only would recommend the engineered hardwood. That's not even the end of it - this summer our upstairs floors started to buckle - not quite as bad as downstairs - but once again due to the fact that they installed the floor without leaving any room for natural expansion. I would never recommend Brown's hardwood to anyone based on the following: 1) Poor workmanship - bordering on negligence in the installation. 2) Unprofessional communication and timeframe. 3) Disappearing when the problem needed to be corrected!

We knew we needed to get it checked out but moving to a new area makes is so hard to find reliable companies to do practically anything. I sent out a barrage of emails to a number of companies that served our area and one response jump out. They responded to my inquiry within just a few hours and were able to get me scheduled for a inspection within a few weeks. I'm sure autumn is a very busy time and my guess is they had a tech coming to the area without a full docket for the day. They have a very clear process, prompt communication, and a very professional approach. On the right day I got a call from the tech that he would be on site within 30 minutes, which was well within the expected window. When he arrived we chatted a bit and, once he got suited up, he jumped into the work and wasn't hesitant to get in there, clear the cobwebs, check some items in our basement, etc., Very thorough and he was able to provide me a good status of my chimney, options for the wood burning insert I had asked about, and a clear, documented, process for how I can get there plus what to do to make sure this chimney will last another 150 years. I was impressed. They are a professional organization, serving a very large area, and not the least expensive option. But, that's not to say they wouldn't be the best value. The technician onsite was very knowledgeable but wasn't shy about contacting his team for further input. All signs of a healthy, stable, company. No pressure. No hard sell. No forced timelines. Just great info, patience, and a real dedication to keeping things tidy! Great visit and a company I would use again for sure!

Employee from here nearly caused a massive accident today on my drive to work (9/24 8am). We all slammed on our breaks to a complete stop. Car behind me had to come up on my side to avoid slamming into me.
