Then, after ANOTHER two and a half weeks, I had to follow up to inquire about the inspection report as I had not received it." I left the above as my original one star review. Afterwards, the owner did finally connect and explained she had been ill since the inspection was done. While I'm sympathetic to life being out of our control sometimes, the business should have someone to at least take over communication if the owner is out. I would've been fine with the delay if I had been notified, and could've relayed this to my insurance company instead of dodging their calls. I WAS THEN ASKED TO REMOVE MY REVIEW before they would send my inspection report. Truly unprofessional. Actual text messages from the business (I was working so was unable to respond): "4:57PM The review is still there!? 4:57PM I'm getting ready to send inspection but need the review taken down! 5:13PM ?? 5:55 PM Need spelling of last name and full address to send it over now!! (THIS INFORMATION HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY PROVIDED) 7:00 PM Good evening. I need the info and the review taken care of so I can send this along this evening and get you taken care of please." I took the review down to get my report, and after I updated the owner, they said I'd have the report in an hour or so. Didn't receive the report for another six hours though they claimed they sent it hours earlier. Maybe this business has been great before, and will be great again, but because I specifically chose this company based on their reviews, I had to provide an account of my experience.

This guy is amazing and I can't say enough about what an outstanding job he did…read more My wife and I redid our kitchen over the summer. From cabinets, counters and appliances, we renovated just about everything we could see. The floor was question for us at the start. The tiles were neutral and not in terrible shape. But there were several chipped tiles, a few broken ones, and a few that needed to be replaced because of exposed flooring in the new layout. Our grout was also broken in some spots. I did, however, have a box of 16 original tiles that the previous installer left 15 years ago. The cost to remove a tile floor is as much, if not more, than to have new tile installed fresh. We talked to a few people about our options and we got many referrals to Hard Surface Solutions. I talked to him in he phone a bit about our project and he came over a few days later. He gave me a price and showed me pictures of his previous project. The price was very reasonable. The pictures, before and after, were very impressive. So we hired him and he agreed to start about 3 week later. First he cleaned my tiles with some high pressure steam clean machine. He cleaned the tiles like they were out of the box. In fact I could not believe when I saw the first few tiles. They made my existing tiles look so dingy. After that he worked on the tiles. He replaced several with the box I gave him. Then he fixed some cracks and chips on tiles that were still my existing floor. After that he worked on our grout. He changed our dark, discolored gray grout and make it dull white like my wife had requested. The grout came out perfect and it is very consistent along the entire floor. The whole floor looks new. It took 2 days. He finished the grout with some epoxy that is water proof, easy to clean and lasts for many years. I have the floor for 6 months now so I can not comment about the longevity, but my 15 year old, beaten floor looks new again and it is the perfect complement to my new kitchen

First, I received a call back after leaving a message immediately (like within the hour). I called 3 other contractors, 2 of them never returned my call and a third called back after P&R completed the work. Rick came out to my house the very next day to survey the damage and take some measurements. I had an estimate for the work within the week and they started working right after that. Rich and Jake made great recommendations for how to refurbish the basement (suggesting vinyl flooring instead of the carpeting). They installed all the flooring, repaired all of the baseboard, fixed the covering to a load-bearing beam, painted 2 rooms with 3 different paints (2 coats each) and even installed sump pump so that the flooding that happened will not happen again. They did all this work in 1 weeks time and at a great price. They worked hard and were willing to answer all of my novice, homeowner questions the entire time. Since this initial work we have had them reinstall a backsplash for out kitchen counters AND Rick came out on a Sunday, during an emergency where my power breaker was tripping every few minutes.
