Never ever can I recommend this business. Browns did our flooring for our new house last fall. I…read morewas first concerned with the lack of communication leading up to the installation, which was on a fairly tight schedule. Greg was hard to get a hold of, did not relay critical information to our contractor, and ultimately ended up starting almost a month later than initially planned. After installation, the white oak floors looked beautiful. However, after another 2 months passed, the floors on the lower level started cupping. They were installed over sleepers on top of a concrete floor. Similar to the first review - it appears that Greg did not check the moisture before starting. A few months after that - the floors began buckling because once installed they went too tight to the wall and left no room for natural expansion (the buckling was measured at 4.5"!!! Not exaggerating). This is flooring installation 101! I have no idea how they missed this. We ultimately had to replace the floors, and Greg was unresponsive. Nowhere to be found. Our contractor contacted the flooring manufacturer, who stated that the product quoted and installed on the lower level was not specified for concrete, and told us they only would recommend the engineered hardwood. That's not even the end of it - this summer our upstairs floors started to buckle - not quite as bad as downstairs - but once again due to the fact that they installed the floor without leaving any room for natural expansion. I would never recommend Brown's hardwood to anyone based on the following: 1) Poor workmanship - bordering on negligence in the installation. 2) Unprofessional communication and timeframe. 3) Disappearing when the problem needed to be corrected!

Hire this roofer! In the crowded field of roofing, this…read morecompany stands out. The owner of the company, Dani, is responsive, keeps a close eye on the crews and delivers great work at a fair price.

"I inquired about a roof inspection for my insurance company. Initial response was good, but after…read moreconveying details of the roof, communication was dropped by the business and I then had to follow up to get a date scheduled, two and a half weeks later. Then, after ANOTHER two and a half weeks, I had to follow up to inquire about the inspection report as I had not received it." I left the above as my original one star review. Afterwards, the owner did finally connect and explained she had been ill since the inspection was done. While I'm sympathetic to life being out of our control sometimes, the business should have someone to at least take over communication if the owner is out. I would've been fine with the delay if I had been notified, and could've relayed this to my insurance company instead of dodging their calls. I WAS THEN ASKED TO REMOVE MY REVIEW before they would send my inspection report. Truly unprofessional. Actual text messages from the business (I was working so was unable to respond): "4:57PM The review is still there!? 4:57PM I'm getting ready to send inspection but need the review taken down! 5:13PM ?? 5:55 PM Need spelling of last name and full address to send it over now!! (THIS INFORMATION HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY PROVIDED) 7:00 PM Good evening. I need the info and the review taken care of so I can send this along this evening and get you taken care of please." I took the review down to get my report, and after I updated the owner, they said I'd have the report in an hour or so. Didn't receive the report for another six hours though they claimed they sent it hours earlier. Maybe this business has been great before, and will be great again, but because I specifically chose this company based on their reviews, I had to provide an account of my experience.

I cannot recommend P&R enough and have been recommending them to anyone who will listen since they…read morerefinished my basement after a catastrophic flood. First, I received a call back after leaving a message immediately (like within the hour). I called 3 other contractors, 2 of them never returned my call and a third called back after P&R completed the work. Rick came out to my house the very next day to survey the damage and take some measurements. I had an estimate for the work within the week and they started working right after that. Rich and Jake made great recommendations for how to refurbish the basement (suggesting vinyl flooring instead of the carpeting). They installed all the flooring, repaired all of the baseboard, fixed the covering to a load-bearing beam, painted 2 rooms with 3 different paints (2 coats each) and even installed sump pump so that the flooding that happened will not happen again. They did all this work in 1 weeks time and at a great price. They worked hard and were willing to answer all of my novice, homeowner questions the entire time. Since this initial work we have had them reinstall a backsplash for out kitchen counters AND Rick came out on a Sunday, during an emergency where my power breaker was tripping every few minutes. You're simply not going to find a better contractor that P&R. My wife and I are putting together a master list of projects that we want P&R to work on in the coming years and are looking forward to having them continue to add value to our home.
