We had a terrible experience at the Great Clips location at Milestone Plaza on Pelham Road. Our hair needed serious damage control: my hair was four inches longer on the right side than the left side, and my boyfriend's hair looked like three haircuts pieced together haphazardly. I was worried that I would lose four more inches of my hair (I had three inches cut already) to fix the lopsidedness. My boyfriend was worried he would have to buzz his head before he could have an actual haircut again. Bad haircuts are the worst. Fixing bad haircuts can be a nightmare. Fortunately for us, this Great Clips location was not intimidated by our sad mood or bad haircuts. Tammy was able to fix my hair--she evened out the sides and cut only one additional inch to make things look normal. My boyfriend's stylist asked him questions about his hair and his preferences for styling. He walked away with a haircut that made him extremely happy. We went in stressed, angry, and worried. We left feeling relieved and pleased. Tammy personalized my haircut. She also sympathized with me without speaking ill of her unknown coworkers at the other Great Clips location. The stylists at this location are welcoming, professional, and reliable! The first Great Clips was a sub-par haircut experience that left me feeling like Great Clips is a salon for the incompetent. There is a completely separate spa area for massage, meditation and (one of my now new favorites!) Sunlighten's infrared sauna which I had never heard of. It helps with relaxation, can help with weight loss, riding of toxins, muscle and join pain and more. I bought a monthly package, felt FANTASTIC when I left and can't wait to go back this coming week! Additionally, in comparison to other infrared sauna packages in the area the price was very reasonable and a savings. A full hair consultation was done as to what I wanted, what I didn't want, what my concerns were and she was more than happy to answer my questions on products used. Boheme is the first salon I went to after moving to the area. I was nervous about finding a new…read morehair stylist as I had gone to the same one for years. I decided to trust one of the stylists here to work on my hair which was blonde. It had grown out a bit so she let me know to trust the process and it would take 2 sessions to get the blonde I wanted, which was no problem. We got along great (so I thought) and I was trusting both her and the process. After the third session, I was not getting the blonde I wanted even after telling her I was not satisfied with the tone (of blonde) I was receiving. My hair was looking more orange than blonde every session. I made the decision to seek out another stylist outside of boheme to get the results I wanted. Once going to her, she informed me that my hair was over processed and I had extreme breakage. There were inch gaps in the bottom layers of my hair from her missing them while foiling. The new stylist did not feel comfortable lightening my hair any more at that point for risk of it breaking off. It has been 2 months since, and at this point she did a test strand to see if my hair is ready to be lightened and it broke off about an inch from my root, meaning if I had gone to boheme one more time or if another stylist was not forthcoming and did go through with lightening it, I could have lost all of my hair. I have never had problems with breakage or anything similar with my hair, and going to a salon who prioritizes "all-natural organic, plant based products and color" was not something I thought would result damaging my hair to this extent. I have now had to chop my hair and keep it dark for my hair to recoup. I am thankful I went elsewhere to someone honest, who is not just in it for a paycheck at risk of my hair. I not only feel betrayed but I now have spent hundreds of dollars to have my hair destroyed and have gone & will have to go months to reach my desired color.
